Oblivion had a great charm about it, and its art style was very nice in its execution, but I voted Skyrim due to my first game bias, that I can mod the crap out of it, and the fact that it's the only game I own (I rented Oblivion, but I can't seem to find Morrowind, Arena or Daggerfall).

I say Morrowind because it sucked me in, I mean I played that game for hours and hours. And it just feels like a
great game to me

I have to say Morrowind it had the best story and quests (plus that NPC falling from the sky was funny)
and for me Daggerfall and Arena lacked 'character' if you know what I mean.

Not Set
I've also played only those games and I'd have to say Oblivion is my favorite. I enjoyed Morrowind for the most part and Skyrim was great because of the Dragonborn ability. Oblivion was a great game because there were just so many options and things to do. Skyrim comes at a close second only because it didn't have any form of an "Arena" like Oblivion did.

Oblivion i say.

Morrowind was the second TES i played, and the combat really did saw it in half for me. I did like the multiple factions and ranks though.

Skyrim was quite a fail as a TES game, but a success as an action-adventure in my mind and so for this reason its my least favorite

It wasen't really a fail , I played morrowind first If they would have fixed the combat and some other things I wont get into detail , It would probably be the best Elder Scrolls Game , But i saw the resemblance from Morrowind to Skyrim and To Lastly Oblivion.

All of them have their strong points.

I don't think there is a "best Elder Scrolls Game".

I agree with that, I have only played Oblivion and Skyrim both of which I liked and disliked for varying reasons though I have not played Morrowind from what I have read and seen of it it has it's good and bad areas as well so no game is the best.

I would say Oblivion is the best because (IMO) it has the best story lines and made me feel more epic! :D those oblivion gates, charging into battle with Martin Septim (though some might argue the great gate battle was nowhere near as epic as it should've been), stealing an elder scroll, slaying your dark brotherhood brothers and sisters, fighting Manimarco and of course watching the spirit of Akatosh battle Mehrunes Dagon :,) wow so many good memories. Don't get me wrong I loved Morrowind and Skyrim as well and I haven't even played the other TES games (though I plan to and I have heard good things about Daggerfall).
But at the moment definitely Oblivion.

I've played Skyrim thoroughly about five times. Three of those times, a severely game breaking glitch occurred and I couldn't even load an old save. Only for that it might be my favouirite but I've had no trouble with Oblivion.

Morrowind! The exploration was amazing, and the worded instructions by NPCs that were sometimes a pain to decipher, so much fun.
Daggerfall was big and interesting, but there were other games just like it that had more character at the time. Even if they were much, much smaller.
Oblivion and Skyrim just started looking better, and losing gameplay value.
Arena and Redguard I don't really know anything about. Just watched videos and never experienced them first hand.

I hate when people dislike a game because its "Mainstreamed"
If a game is good a game is good , just because its popular dosen't make it bad.

what I hate the most is- Skyrim was too mainstreamed , so was oblivion even morrowind was mainstreamed , Daggerfall was mainstreamed as hell and so was arena BUT THE GOOD GAME the game I played was the TES 1 ARENA alpha demo , good times good times.

if you gave morrowind skyrim's graphics it would be game of the decade.
