There will be no watermark for this beta or any future beta tests. Please remember that you are still under NDA and only a few media sources have been given the clear.

Respect the NDA. We won't have to be restricted for much longer.

The watermark is something you don't see on your screen but Beth can link any footage or screenshots to your account. So they'll know if you are uploading footage under NDA... unless you get a watermark removal tool :)

Yeah, the watermark was all over your screen. You wouldn't really notice it while you were playing though.

I could see it quite clearly on my screen. It wasn't too annoying to be honest but it was there. The watermark is your login name all over the screen.

thank god, it really drove me nuts in darker areas where it was more visible.

Now that the game is close to its release, they have loosen the rules and restrictions, that's for sure.

it certainly makes screenshots easier to take. I understand the NDA to a certain degree but honestly, i think its a CYA ploy of utter rubbish. They invite people to play the game based on its current build and whatever negative criticism comes of it should be understood as negative criticism based off of a work in progress.

they are afraid that negative criticism will damage the image of the game and affect sales. thats all the NDA is for, looking out for the bottom dollar.

Actually the NDA is for quality control. The NDA means they can, to a point, ignore the masses. The people who are speculating. Saying it'll be too easy or too hard, before playing.

This NDA has given them the benefit of using the criticism based on beta testers and public information only. This prevents them from needing to sift through fodder that people who have no idea what they're saying are saying.

The end result is a greater gaming experience.
