So we all know that in The Elder Scroll Series, particularly Skyrim, there are TONS of books you can find and read. Most of us just ignore the stories in them, and are just appreciative of the skill boosts given by many of them. Yet recently I find myself reading them and appreciating the hard work put into even the smallest details of a series that has influenced Role Playing Games greatly. So it begs the question which book do you as a community believe is best. I'm not saying which book gets you the most stat bonuses or anything like that. Just for entertainment purposes which in-game short story or in-game book series did you enjoy reading. As a side note the only incorrect answers would be The Elder Scrolls, and the Mythic Dawn Commentaries, anything else is fair game.

By the way I don't want to see people posting The Argonian Maid, Part 1 or Part 2.
Lets keep it classy OK.

Beggar, thief, king I liked. They're three books total.

That one about the vampires of each region, can't remember the name however.

There are a lot of good ones, but I can't remember most.

King Edward was a classic that I was kind of sad didn't make it into any of the games past Daggerfall. By the same (real life) author as The Real Barenziah, for those wondering, though with fewer sex scenes of course.

Count only the happy hours.

Actually you forgot one: Warrior. It's the third one of the four book series. :P

Anyhow I like the twelve book series 2920 books and I'd recommend anyone read up on all of them if they're interested in seeing the events that led up to the Second Era, the era we're in during ESO. It's a wonderful series and features a fight between two of the Tribunal against the Daedric Prince Mehrunes Dagon.

Also, if you have android or a tablet that supports googleplay then I'd suggest downloading The Elder Scrolls Books to have instant access to any book in the four games.

There is an app for android users that is a complete compilation of TES books. They are based from data and not the actual games so there are even some that we have never read before. Good way to pass time.

I really enjoyed the wolf queen series. I can't help but admire Potema, even if she is evil.

If an argonian turned into a werecrocodile would there be any difference in appearance? Like, at all?

I just read this at http://www.imperial-library.info/

It is a pretty awesome series, each part is done from the perspective of different characters but it all comes together and interconnects. There's a lot of subtlties and mysteries that you don't catch at first-- but when you notice them you go "That's brilliant."

The books I fondly remember the most are the Argonian Maid, Immortal Blood, Knightfall, A Minor Maze, Aedra and Daedra and last but not least Mysterious Akavir.
