Can casuals even play ESO?

I have a few local friends who I enjoy playing games with, and I really want to get them into ESO. However, there might be a major problem! They are super casual players, and as such they are clickers. So, it is even possible to aim and click? If not, then it seems like a huge portion of the community are going to be out of luck with this game.

This thread reeks of hostility. But answering your question: This game's mechanics are vastly different from other MMO's, as such you are incapable of clicking your skills, and that has nothing to do with casuals. This could have been interesting mechanics - discussion, but with the opening post being a hidden flame towards certain player group, I don't see this thread going anywhere. Also, majority of players in MMORPG's use the hotkeys to perform skills, micromanaging a skill book with clicks + hot keys isn't a casual thing to do, but for players who have the capability to manage it.

Gotta love the clueless posts...

Debating with someone on the Internet is like mudwrestling with a pig. You get filthy and the pig loves it

Bad players don't, they click. And there are a lot of bad players out there...

Why would I even want you to like me? lol

I played ES for all of 5 mins and turned it off. Its kind of a shitty game...all hype. Anyways, I can ask anywhere if you don't want to answer. Not a big deal.

Well if clickers can't play then thats a problem. Millions of players won't be able to play the game at all. Just think how horrible it would be for some clicker to buy the game without knowing...

Well, considering attack and block with left and right mouse buttons respectively, we will all be clickers in TESO. lol

Morbid, cut it out unless you want your thread closed. I edited that last bit out your post. Stop trying to stir up a hornets nest.

I honestly don't think casual gamers look to being able to click as one of the deciding factors whether they play a game or not. I'm sure clickers can learn to press 5 numbers on the keyboard, if not ESO could do without them.

Actually I was being 100% candid about this topic. Currently my friends are playing The Secret World, and I absolutely hate that game. By far the worst MMO I have ever seen. I am guessing by the end of the year they will come to their senses though... However, if ESO isn't a real alternative, then perhaps not.

So does anyone actually know how the combat is going to work? For instance, will you even have a mouse pointer? If you do have a mouse pointer, will it even be able to click the action bar? If you can click on the action bar, then clicking any ability would aim your shot in that direction, which doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

I am also guessing that spells travel a set distance and follow the terrain. In this case you don't need to aim so much as have the pointer in their direction. Melee could make use of this the best I think. Hard to miss something in your face anyways.

One of my friends always plays ranger like classes though.

Yeah, everyone knows how the combat is going to work. Why don't you try reading articles about that game instead of asking stupid questions.

The questions I asked aren't in the articles.... No one went into Pax trying to click.
