I know that in ESO i want to be a supportish player, but i wonder..... would a tank with some heals, buffs etc. be the best? Or will a typical healer be the best? I am just worried for that it will maybe be boring to play a typical healer..... Any tips? :)

You've also got to think of what your going to do if you want to play through the solo story quests.

I'm also taking up the healer role in my group. Of course, much depends on the actual skills in the game, but I'm thinking healing/buff/conjuration/destruction(or whatever the rune equivalent is) in that order. With armor and one handed.

When I'm with my guild, I'll be relying on the tank to take the hits and I'll probably sit back and buff/heal/conjure(especially since one or two of the people I'll be playing with are particularly suicidal). But when I'm on my own I don't want to be afraid of close combat, though I'll still be relying heavily on buffs/conjure.

At such, I'll be dumping all my points into magicka and health.

I don't think any of that is innovative. I won't be as effective as someone who focuses just on healing/magic, but its a play style I like and fits in well with the group I have.

You could specialize in not only healing but in magic that helps your group in all areas. For instance, there are said to be spells that can, if used properly, increase your teammates attack power like Nadali said. So you could both heal and buff your teammates, making your role in battle a very important one. You'd never get bored!
I'm no mage, but conjuring also sounds really cool.

I dont know how classes will work yet but if it anything i hope for, then mostly in group i want to play Caster Damage dealer with Healing as bachup/off spec, and during solo play i want to haw some fun in mele with some spells, but we dont know yet if we can cheage classes out of battle or ate some "trainer". I really hope we do, i dont want to be force to stick with same play style all game.

As Sordak wrote, it might be possible - but will it work? it certainly sounds funny.

But playing a healer is never boring! It's always funny being the one blamed for wiping!

My feeling is the game is going to be viably played as whatever class/skill/weapon combination you want. We'll have companions in the game, right? That means whatever your choice for group/pvp play should be more than okay for the single player story.

You said you want to be a support player so go for it! Whether its heal/dps support, tank/heal support, or pure heal support you should be rewarded with content designed for a number or playstyles.

Like Nadali said, "its a play style I like..." I think that should be your first consideration in any MMO.

Forget all traditional heals and just roll a hybrid, stealth, healer! No one can focus you in pvp and your raid party can't blame you for wiping if they can't find you...Devil

I am actually hoping for the idea of a supportish type thing, such as having lots of buffs for the group or debuffs for enemies, as opposed to the WoW-system which is everybody has them.

or at least a way to do this as a healer-type.

1. We dont know anything about the skills/talenttrees or metagame.

2.The best is mostly just an opinion. There will be players who say " the best" is to play as full tank or full healer or full "buff-bot", but if you dont like it are you going to play so as they say?

Play and skill how you like and what fits better to your playstyle and change your playstyle if your not sattisfied with the result.

Full tank, full healer, buffers and hybrids, they all have theyr right to be played, the player is all that matter, not how someone have set theyr skillpoints.

just my opinion

Normally a dedicated healer class would be the best, but we will have to see when the game launches.

Thank you for your answers guys! I have (almost) decided to be a tank, and maybe some conjuration in there as well :)
