I'm proposing changing the "Guild Activities" Section to "LF Guild." Its really an unnecessary forum used for additional recruitment spam. I think it would be better off if it were used for players to state that they are lf a guild and explain what they are looking for.

Here's a example template

Quote:Name:

Faction: Daggerfall Covenant, Aldmeri Dominion, Ebonheart Pact (Choose One)

Playstyle:Casual, Moderate, Hardcore (Choose One)

Focus: PvP, PvE, RP, Crafting, Adventuring, Social (Choose All That Apply)

Region: North America, Europe, Oceanic, other (Choose One)

Additional Info:(What are you looking for in a guild)

Guilds can reply to the topic inviting a player to their guild(One reply only and don't reply to it if the player clearly doesn't fit your guilds propoerties). Players that are interested in one of the guilds that replied should contact the person via private message. When a player finds a guild they should reply to the thread stating that they've found a guild and the thread should be locked.

It makes more sense for players to read about guilds they are interested in and apply to the one they wish to join rather then a guild looking for players.

But since we're talking about guilds/recruiting, I think that there should be a Guild Recruitment section of sort on the main page of the forums, cause tbh the current location isn't very easy to see and not really a useless spot for it.

BTW this should probably be in the help & feedback section.

Thats why you would link your guilds recruitment forum.

Heres an ex:

Quote:Dominor Vindicatum, Hardcore PvP Pre-made Team, Daggerfall Covenant, US based, Recruitment open internationally.

Visit our recruitment thread for more info: http://www.tesof.com/topic-dominor-vindi...ernational
Apply at: http://DominorVindicatum.enjin.com/apply

Edit: I do agree that there should be a more visible link to the guilds page.

Maybe could have it where people can post that they're looking for guilds, and people can post their guilds recruitment threads. Let people choose how they want to recruit/find a guild.

Personally, I like the guild activities forum. It allows for a 'self contained spam' environment, if you will. Smiling

Now, that being said, I also like the idea of a LFG forum, though I think an LFG thread would serve a better purpose, as it would allow guild leaders such as myself to simply subscribe to the thread. One of the other fan sites did this and it's working wonderfully.

The Obsidian Brotherhood
Ebonheart Pact ─ Casual to Moderate ─ North American.
Weekly Raids ─ Private Voice Chat ─ Council Leadership.
For the Brotherhood. For the Pact.

I agree with this suggestion, in making an LFG thread instead of making it the entire focus of that section of the forum.

Guild Activities is also supposed to be a section for players to advertise their guild events as well, not just for recruiting purposes. I don't see why the Guild Recruiters have to make a recruitment thread for their group within 'Guild Activities' if they already added their guild to the database, which is much more neat and organized.
