I figured this could have gone in either the class or roleplay forum equally, so I figured I'd make it a little more broad by placing it here in General.

So, those character ideas we've all got in the back of our minds. You know. The one you thought would be cool to do, but you'll never actually make it for some reason. What are yours?

I thought it would be neat, to contrast my usual worship of Nocturnal, to make a character who worships Meridia. They would likely be a Templar, and never use stealth. I could imagine them using some of the Fighter's Guild abilities against undead as well. Magelight would also be a must. The best weapons would probably be either a restoration staff or sword-'n'-board. Bows are possible as well though. I particularly liked Auriel's Bow in Skyrim for such a purpose, but whether one similar exists in ESO, I have yet to see.
Unfortunately I'm the opposite of an altoholic. I don't like to make alts because I'm a very one-character type of player.

the weird thing about this game, and this is not for RPing, is you get around 300+ skill points in the game. that being said, i went on esohead.com and i mapped out my perfect character complete with maxing out blacksmithing and passives etc. it was a total of 70 points.

i had 230 more skill points to use!

so with that being said: it seems that if you dont mind recycling characters, you can have a character that can strap on leather armor and go stealthy OR you can be a heavy armor wearing tank. this is very FFXIV:ARR esque.

but for RP purposes, i understand how this could be a common problem. for me, i live my characters. i would not make a character if i couldnt feel like i could be that character to reasonable extends (e.g. i know i cant use fire spells). so i put a lot of time into that one character - this would cause me to never get around to many characters.

I have a strange paradox. I dont like it when guys play as female characters in game. its not fair to assume everyone is male and its awkward EVERY time when i have to ask - are you a chick or a guy? in fact, something happened very similar to this on this forum - someone posted a pvp video and the replies to the thread someone was like, "he/she idk who im addressing" and the guy respond "guy xD" - i mean i really just HATE this shit.

-however, ive always wanted to make a female character and tell a story from her perspective. it wouldnt be a main, it wouldnt even be an alt - just a spare time character with a story to tell and once the story is told, thats it - like spartacus - that story went its course and that was it, 3 seasons.

i can say now i will never get around to making this character w/e it may be. between a wife and son, full time employment, and family that always want to do something every weekend and the three friends i have always wanting to hang out - it will take me 3 months as it is to hit 50 with my main and we arent even talking VR.

Tell me about it, I do not know how will I get my perfect character with my favorites builds by not going crazy or do a mistake. My way of combating this it will be creating two characters. On the same alliance of course XD.
