Do you believe there will be something like this for those with a change of heart?
Do you want something like this in-game?

Yes of course I would like this. I start playing and I pick what seems to me at the time the greatest looking tree ever, but when I'm maxed I absolutely suck, well I don't want to start over again do I?..

From what i understand you can evetually unlock everythig in the skill trees and there will be ways to reapply the perks points to the trees, the only think you cant go back and change is your class or race skill trees

Nope, the morphs only, as its only choice that gives sense. You dont need to reset perks, if you want something else unlocked, play the game and unlock it

Well i hope we will be able to re-pick class at end game, i would hate to chose a class on my main, and then find out it dosent work like we planed or hoped, now i haw to start new character? and spent another 400+ hours lvl it, change all my friends to my new alts, get all new achievements, again. Its just too much pain, why not haw this simple mechanic in game. I am all in for Alts for RP or if you want to haw PvP/PvE only characters, but to force you to make alts just because you dint know how your class works in end game content is just stupid.

Skill trees, eventually we can get every skill in game, so there wont be a need to respeck them, just pay attention to what you pick.

They confirmed we will be able to respeck our Health/Stamina/magica points, so that's good to know.

Isn't it more redundant to pick a class without knowing what its primary characteristics are than not have a class reset? For example, if you picked sorcerer and get angry because you dont have enough tanking abilities.. that's kind of on you for not doing the research. I've never heard of a game with a class reset mechanic.. that'd definitely be new haha. As for how your class plays out endgame, that's also on you accounting for what skill trees you opened and how well you are at combat, managing your resources, and gaining finesse. I'm sure friends will be account shared, achievements you'll probably have to start over on though.

Well not really the point, you dont need a class to follow a Roll, a Sorceress can be Tank or Healer its up to you. Class will provide "unique" support Spells, example, Sorceres will haw Blink spell, Dragon Knight will haw Chain pull spell Templar will haw a heal that does not require Restoration Staff. The point i wanted to make was, imagine i like blink and pick sorcere, but eventually at lvl 50 i find it useless or i would like to experiment end game with Chain pull, in this cases i will need to start new character all over again. It might not seem a big deal, but for people with limited amount of time they can spent playing games it makes a world of difference, say i went DK and after 200+ h of game play i am at lvl 50, haw my class Skill Trees max out, why cent i gain new class and go to 50+ area and lvl that class all over again? now i can use DK for pvp and maybe Night blade for PvE, sure there has to be some penalties, like paying extra gold and etc. but it will make big difference for most of people who wont haw time to manage 3+ Alts., or Just love there main character and would hate to make alts just to experience different game styles.

Well, for one, you won't find a certain class as 'useless' in endgame. That's not how this works. These games, if they have any quality at all, make sure that endgame content is balanced. You won't be levelling, hit cap and suddenly find that your character is a piece of crap just cause you are a certain class. If things aren't working well for you it probably won't just happen at endgame. You'll notice earlier on because you won't be doing very well as you level because the choices you make concerning building your character aren't good. And you will only have like 3 sills on your hotbar frm your class anyways, and technically you might not even have class abilities in those slots (there's 2 slots for weapons, three for whatever else because there's so many skill lines right? and one more slot for ultimate), so really you don't even need to worry as long as you make SMART CHOICES on how to play. As for experimenting, I can sort of understand what you mean. You have spentso much time levelling a certain toon you don't want that to go to waste JUST to have another experience with another class. But really you are talking about multi classing, which almost defeats te purpose of clases in my mind. Why make distinct classes when players will just mix and match them anyways? Besides as you said classes are kind of blurred here as they are just a starting point for how you want to play, as any class can use any weapon/armour. I'm with yah i don't have hours at a time usually to play, but I'm not gonna ask ZeniMax to possibly muddle smething that doesn't seem broken just to accomodate me. I'd rather find one playstyle that fits me, and wok the heck out of it till I'm awesome with it, then get every single ability in game and kinda wreck my experience.

And by the way, picking a permament class adds weight to the decision. Forces you to research what you want. Heps define your experience. Don't muddle it up.

No one said you can use more then one class at same time, just the ability to "trade" 1 class for another, and start to lvl that class from lvl 1. Dont know if you played TSW, but they done it right, you may lvl 1 skill tree then one day switch to another, and not "mix" them.
I dont know if they will limit "amount of ability's you can use from certain tree", 3skills from class is a lot of space considering class will only be 3/19 skill trees you haw. I know we dont know that yet, but it is possible it was alpha idea and they change it by now. Dont forget you will haw Guild Skill Tree PvP Skill tree Weapon skill Tree World skill Tree, and to fit all that in 2 action slots is A LOT.
Also playing low lvl vs Playing at lvl cap or in a raid is totally different experience, and when game comes out there wont be "guides" or players experience to rely on, I wont even mention playing PvP vs Playing PvE. So to lock you down, and then eventually say to be the most effective you haw to re-role your tune is dum. But i guess this is one of those thins we haw to put trust into devs.
Oh btw, think about when they releas new classes with future expansions, then you will "haw" to role new character, and my point mantains, "why?" hawing the ability to swap 1 class to another is simple mechanic and has no downfall. Its not like you will keep ability's from your old class or you will be able to switch them any time you want, also the fact that you need to lvl new class from lvl 1, so you haw to put in game time into it any way, just think of that.

If you'd have to level the new class from level 1 as a level 50.. I see no point of having that mechanic at all. You might as well just level an alt of that class and get over the fact you need to get achievements again, assuming they have achievements. The point of having classes is to have a choice on what kind of playstyle you like, so there is no "This Class > That Class" at endgame. If they bring new classes in an expansion, thats an incentive for people to make an alt of that class, its kind of the whole point in doing it. They have said this whole time they are very much about people making alts.. Whether it be to see all factions stories and perspectives or just for more classes.

@Ewan even switching between classes is mixing them. What's the point of making you choose then if all of them are available? And yeah if you hafta level the skills up from 1 to 50 again anyways I'm with @Tyrvan. You might as well level an alt. And yes endgame is a different experience from levelling. But once you get to the endgame you WILL NOT find out your class sucks. This isn't WoW. There won't be a cookie cutter way to experience endgame, like there won't be cutters for how to play a class. If you want you can jump into being emperor, or quest in another faction's zones, or work on skills and maxing other lines. Or finish quests. You won't hafta 'reroll' your character. You work to make him stronger. Yo won't needa change anything unless you maybe like a random skill line and want to advance it (ie maybe once you hit fifty you wanna see what the mage guild offers, and end up really liking one of the top tier spells. then you use that to replace one on your hotbar).
Where are you getting all these skill trees? there will be mages and fighters guild trees yes, but what's a world skill tree? there are a few trees I'm sure that we don't know yet, but I don't know about a PVP tree...I might be wron but I haven't heard about one, so source that please. Anyways, yes there WILL be a lot of skills to choose from. And you only have 5 slots. 2 of which i think are weapon skills (if you read of any of the Ask Us Anything's, you would probably know this). So you have a lot of choices to make as to which will fill your skill slots. That's the point. You'll be hard-pressedto find some one with the exact same load out as you. It helps it feel like this is actually you, you are unique.

And IF they add more classes, who said you HAVE TO make an alt to play it? If you prefer your main then don't play that new class. Expecting to be able to get that class's abilities just cause you don't wanna level an alt is unfair. That's what alts are for, trying new things. You can't expect to be able to master everything, essentially becoming a god. Then everyone would hafta be able to do that, do be fair. Then whats the point of it because we'd all be the same. The point of classses is specializing. making us individuals. You prefer a certain playstyle, you pick a class which makes a good match. Or you can be a rebel and mix up playstyles and clas. It might be effective and it might not. Point is, this helps keep us different from one another. Don't expect everything to be handed to you.

@Tyrvan and @Ferroc it makes me sad that you fail to see my point.
You say "This isnt WoW", but when its suggested a new mechanic that is proven to work in other games, you say NO! because wow did with lock classes so you haw to make alts to play different class.
And making a new alts is just not the same, just because i want to experience 3 different skill Tress i need to lvl all 16 of my other skill trees from the start, AGAIN.
Then i guess you guys dont feel as bound to your toon as some do.
Yes there will be 3 AvA skill Trees that you lvl by doing PVP.
World Skill trees are Vampire Skill Tree and Warewolf Skill tree, and you get to chose one of those, or none, buy during World quest, that was the way Matt Firor refers to it.
I never said 1 class will be bather then another, i said i might enjoy playing 1 class more then other, By locking classes you probably will think "eh i lvl this one and i just play with it" and missing the chance to enjoy more of the game buy trying out difrent class, not to mention wasting all my progress to switch from my main to an Alt is stupid in this age of gaming.7
"They have said this whole time they are very much about people making alts" If that is the case then why open Other areas at lvl 50? If so they would keep faction lock and force you to play alt if you wanted to see different part of the game. But the fact they open it, and like you said let you experience other faction, why not do the same to class system? Which is fundamentally pointless.

And yet you dint tell me a single Negative thin about "switching classes if you lvl them to max", same system they did with factions.

Oh yes, btw i dint want to make any fail statmens, so i took my time with them, but here it is : "The shortcut bars switch when you switch weapons, but again, you can populate either bar with any abilities you like."
Source: http://elderscrollsonline.com/en/news/po...g-combat-2

SO YES you can put any ability in your bar, so you arent limited to "3 class Skills"

I never said I dont want a knew mechanic because WoW didnt do it.. I said I dont want a class reset mechanic because if you'd have to level all of your abilities over again then its the same as making an alt, which makes it a futile mechanic. I understand it's frustrating to make a new character on a limited play time schedule, but it's selfish to want a mechanic like that because you decided you like another class better. I dont see the big deal of making an alt even if you cant play hours on end.. because you have to redo achievements? Big whoop that's part of it and what makes you feel tied to your character(s).

"just because i want to experience 3 different skill Tress i need to lvl all 16 of my other skill trees from the start, AGAIN." No, you reset your skills and get to assign the skill points you've earned where ever you want.(Assuming they have a skill tree reset) And they've said there are enough skill points in the game to unlock every ability, which would mean you have to spend more time on your main to make him more powerful, which is your point exactly. They already fixed what you're upset about.

As well, they are opening up other content so you can experience other areas ON THE SAME TOON, with the same class. It isn't about changing play style or anything. It's about getting to see more of the game. Adding to what uve built already. You're right on that. You failed to see my point as well. Classes keep us individual. If I had all the same abilities as you what would make me or you special?
