I never played Skyrim - last game of theirs I tried was Oblivion - but I have played some MMOs. Most of those I've played have been click to move rather than using the WASD keys. Is that going to be possible with TESO? Or will there be an option to configure hotkeys?

As the game has no top down view like for instance Diablo, it is unlikely for the movement to be controlled by mouse clicking. Will be like Skyrim, rather like Oblivion controls:

WASD - movement, SPACE, SHIFT, CTRL - movement modifier

MOUSE - normal attack, strong attack, blocking / camera control

HOT KEYS - your five slotted abilites, like in Oblivion, but in Oblivion you only could 'slot' one ability

Who controls the Septim crown?
Who keeps the Allesian Heresy down?
We do, we do

Who knocked Yokuda off the maps?
Who keeps the Dwemer under wraps?
We do, we do

Yea It's different for sure. It's dedicated to the console still. MMO mix I guess you could call It. We shall see how It works out.

point to click! I am some what horrified that this still exists...unless it is some target move forward option which makes sense for melee combat!

Some would call the FF series something other then a true MMO. It's not considered such by lots. How did you like them ?

Final Fantasy 14 is a fantastic MMO in my opinion, and you can use a controller for it without any kind of problems. Despite that it is most certainly a "true MMO" in my opinion and I would be interested to hear why from someone who thinks that it isn't.

Point being, something can work well on both consoles and PC and not have it "dedicated to the console". The game is in no way "dedicated to consoles" which is something the devs have said quite a few times. It's just that the design philosophy they've had while designing the game just so happens to be a good fit to consoles as well, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. If it was then we would have seen console betas long ago. But we don't, meaning they're focused entirely on the computer side of things.

I have no doubt that we will be able to remap many of the keys.
This is pretty standard in most mmo's these days. Also, don't forget
gaming keyboards and gaming mice. I use a Logitech G700 and
in other situations I have usually remapped ( added, actually)
the "W" key to one of my thumb buttons, the "numlock" (Autorun)
to the thumb button next to it and the Interact with item or NPC
key (usually "E") I remap to the mouse wheel click.
The above I remap using the Logiteck software. For other convience
type remapping I will usually use the in-game settings menu.

So if you are a "Mousewalker" like some of us, I suspect we will have
plenty of adaptability. Here's a thought; if you don't have one yet,
you have a couple of months to save up for a gaming mouse before launch.
They have them on Amazon ranging in price from $10 up to
a couple of hundred.

Just like I hope they stick to not having names hover over avatars I sure hope they don't have point and click to move because it is infantile.

I cannot imagine how click to move would work given the combat system.

Click to move is almost exclusively in MMOs that have a hard target/tab target system, which this game specifically does not by design.

You are required to aim your crosshair at your target for an attack to hit, this is by design and will not be modified according to Q&As, consequently I honestly would not hold out hope for a complete control system redesign.
