I would love to see a minion with a chest on his back or huge bag, that you can summon with conjuration, of course with limited carry wight depending on your conjuration level or spell level, not to mention you haw alternation to boost your carry wight until you get to your house, or if you are alchemist there's always some drugs you can take XD. I just hope they increase buff duration, i hate when buffs last 60s.

By the way is there a way to make different armors for horses, lets say you want battle horse, he will haw more armor and attack but less carry wight, or you can go for more passive horse that can carry a lot of wight but wont fight battles.

Unfortunately we know nothing Ewan, except that there will be horses :)

Debating with someone on the Internet is like mudwrestling with a pig. You get filthy and the pig loves it

AI companion is a bad thing in an MMO. just look at swtor. they are bad because many same companion. if the game is social. then it must encourage us with a social mechanics. swtor has fail to make social mechanics.

Bosmer Archer, know strategy, and master of surprises.

All Hail Aldmeri Dominion!

I dislike having a companion with me in Skyrim. The only exception is Serana because she's ranged. I always end up swinging my mace and hitting my companion if they move wrong during my weapon swing.

I think the idea can be implemented for A.I Companions, but I'm not sure if I'd really want them. I mean yeah they make gameplay a little easier for certain classes, or they solidify a build by complementing it.. But on the other hand... I also don't really want one because I want to be the lone-hero while doing some of my questing (sure, you can go without a companion.. but if it's there, I will feel obligated to use it.)

However to answer OP's topic.. Yes, I think having an animal companion would be nice for every class to obtain. Wolves, Bears, Birds, the whole normal game-type pets that are really just extra dps and an extra target for ranged classes. If they do the whole pet bar thing, it can make pets pretty well made, I mean if you're the stealthy type, get a pet that can also stealth, or whatever.

I don't know for sure how it would work, but I'm guessing we'll be limited to summons that are Ultimates. If we can actually use our utility spells for multiple summons, I.E a conjurer, that would be AWESOME.

Onto the pack animals.. I think the horse having a saddle bag is just splendid. It can hold a bit of stuff, maybe not too much, but enough to extend your questing. Is it established if we're using a grid-based inventory, or a weight based one like previous ES games? I'm all for the horse because I want two sets of gear, and I'd like it if my horse could hold my inactive set for me, like a champ.
