So, not to bring up another game, but in World of Warcraft you would have zones where people of the other side could kill you. You might even have places where two factions will have quests in and also will kill you while questing, etc etc.

Now, I know a looooooooooooooot of people hate dying during questing. . but personally, I think it's a fun distraction at times. There again, I'm sure I'll love the quests in TESO as much as the PvP, but I still love the aspect of there being enemies near by and I must be on my guard.

So, to my question, will there be contested zones where perhaps the Ebonhart Pact and the Daggerfall Covenant both do quests, Or any other mix? I can imagine a lot of frustration on the idea of trying to do a quest then having to deal with a nord or orc. However, maybe there be a cooldown that gives you invulnerability to players or something after you die via player outside AvA? Idk. . perhaps that'd be odd & take you out of the game.

I just think it'd be really dumb to be running around as an Orc, then I see a Nord and I can't lop his head off or he can't stick my head on the end of a spear because it's a "pwetty wittle peace zone."

I'm going to guess that there will be limited contested area's upon release, but id imagine when they add more content, those areas might end up being contested.

Each Alliance will have its own area in Cyrodiil and in that area will be the keeps that have their Elder Scrolls and the keeps will probably be known as Elder Scroll keeps. I think each Alliance will have at least two Elder Scroll keeps and the Scrolls in those keeps will provide a bonus to your Alliance in PvP.

However you can, as an alliance, go to an enemies Elder Scroll keep and break in and steal their scrolls. Then you will have a 2 hour time limit to get that Scroll back to one of your Elder Scroll keeps and when you do the bonus from that Elder Scroll will provide your Alliance with a bonus in both PvP and PvE.

These areas might become known as "contested zones" though the whole of Cyrodiil is really a contested zone.

I think the OP is talking in regards to Faction zones not Cryodill.

I know that but there won't be any faction zone areas that anyone can go to except the faction members that belong there...

Yah, I was meaning areas outside of Cyrodil. . like the borders of Hammerfell and Skyrim will have areas which both sides can kill each other. Something like that.
