Well met stranger. Welcome to the Shadow of Sorrow Trading Company. We are an artificer's guild which operates in High Rock, but we don't concern ourselves with the partisan politics of the war, in the sense that we don't have an official standing in the war as a guild. We have placings for people of all walks of life, and we don't discriminate over race, religion, gender or creed. We operate with the business practices of a trade federation with the unity of a brotherhood. We employ guards, artificers and businessmen from all corners of Tamriel and also deal with Daedric, Ayleid, Dwemer and Falmer artifacts, as well as Skooma and Moon sugar (But you didn't hear that from me). We plan to open a Meadery, a Winery and official kiosks later on, but for now, we will rely on shady back-alley deals and trade caravans. Our uniform colours will be red and yellow, and can be anything you choose. Our primary aim is to be able to trade from all corners of Tamriel, from High Rock to Black Marsh, from the Summerset Isles to Morrowind. We recognise that we aren't the only trading company in Tamriel, but we seek out to be the most unique. Like I said before, the professionalism of a company with the security and strength of a brotherhood. We are only unequal in rank. Otherwise, we welcome you for you, and nobody can place themselves above anyone else in spite of rank.

The Shadow of Sorrow Trading Company was set up during the Akaviri invasion of Morrowind (led by Ada'Soom Dir-Kamal) and the creation of the Ebonheart Pact in 2E 572, on the 19th of Last Seed. The creation of this company was in response to the need for weapons in the east. The company profited so much that they continued to operate long after this event. Shadow of Sorrow was created by a golden aged, dragon-obsessed, half-cast Redguard man by the name of Azani. He was a successful smith, and an even more successful businessman, but all of that has changed since his mysterious death last year, in 2E 582. Reallocation of power in the guild was difficult, and was only now settled upon finding Azani's lost will. His business had degraded to the point of infancy upon reallocation to his illegitimate (more Breton than Redguard) son in Daggerfall, High Rock. Peryn Moorcroft, son of Evelyn Moorcroft and Azani, now owns a company with barely 2 employees left: a Khajiit and a Bosmer. Not only that, but Peryn is too young and inexperienced to bring this business back on its feet. Then again, he is 3/4 Breton, and lives in Daggerfall, the place windier than the Imperial City itself (heh, political humor). Maybe he does have a fighting chance. Will you help bring this company to its former glory? Will you spread our influence from Summerset to Morrowind; from High Rock to Black Marsh; from the Throat of the World to the deserts of Elswyr, or from Stros M'kai to Vvardenfell? Will you help mold Vokun Do Krosis and spread its banner across all of Tamriel?

We have few rules here at Vokun Do Krosis, but all are important nevertheless. Here they are:

1) Don't be a big dick. You can be a dick, just not a big one. This rule encompasses courtesy, respect, not being racist or sexist etc. Punishment can range anywhere from temporary muting to expulsion. Being racist in an RP sense is fine, i.e. Altmer are all pompous, or Bretons are all bastards, that sort of thing. Telling a racist joke is tolerable, but so long as everyone's fine with it. Personally, I'm fine with racist jokes, but I'm not so sure about other people. Being blatantly racist is off limits.

2) Learn how to grammar. If English is your first language, then I want you to use it, not completely screw it up. We will be lenient if it is a few mistakes once in a blue moon, or if English is not your first language, so please inform us if English is not your first language beforehand. This is only if you're typing, and is a minor rule with a minor punishment, and will only be voided if the incident was intended to be ironic, if you have made a simple mistake, or if English is not your first language. Otherwise, use Skype. Punishment can be anywhere from a temporary mute to a guild tax on future sales.

3) Share your profits evenly with everyone who has contributed to its creation. If one person has created the item using another person's resources, and was sold by yet another person, you will need to share the cut between each other in a way all three of you deem fit. This is voided if the components were sold to the artificer, or if the artificer has sold it to the trader etc. Punishment can be anywhere from forfeiting your cut to a moderate guild tax on future sales.

4) Don't excessively swear. It's fine to swear and rage, but don't go too far overboard. This is just a courtesy rule and incurs the same punishment as rule 2.

5) Never place yourself above another guild member. Just because you are the head mercenary doesn't mean you are better than a caravan guard. You may be seen as more important in a certain situation, but you aren't better than them. The only thing that comes close to this happening legally is if you are officially in the inner circle. The function of the inner circle is for guild administration, counseling of the future of the guild and to prevent guild takeovers. Failure to recognise this will result in anything from demotion to the placement of a hefty tax on future sales or jobs.

6) Never wrong the guild. If your actions prove itself as a liability to the guild, its members or its clients, you will be punished severely. If you are found guilty of being a liability to the guild, you are stripped of all titles, publicly humiliated, expelled, then executed. It is imperative that you are paraded around as such so everyone in the guild will know who you are and what you do.

Extra things to keep in mind are:
Idle limits for guild members before being removed will be 60 days on launch,
It's highly encouraged that you wear your guild colours in Cyrodiil,
You should join other trade guilds in conjunction with this one for your own gain, their gain and our gain.

Our rank system shows the importance of a guild member, but not a measure of how much better you are. This doesn't make anyone better than anyone else, but is only in place because of the fact that we are a company. A Dwemer isn't seen as better than a caravan guard. The ranks that are attained normally fall into 3 categories: trader, artificer and security. When you are first recruited, you won't have a rank, and will have to discuss with a member of the inner circle about which category you want to be in. The ranks are as follows:

Trader:
1) Caravan Trader. Lowest level. Travels from town to town selling guild wares to anyone who wishes to buy it. Usually accompanied by a Whelp or another Caravan Trader.
2) Kiosk Operator. Set up in a town or city and sells guild wares without moving. Not necessarily accompanied by anyone.
3) Store Owner. Operates in a permanent building selling guild wares.
4) Franchise Manager. Manages certain stores in certain towns.
5) Provincial Overseer. Oversees all stores in a province.
6) Corporate Executive Officer. Manages and oversees the company in almost all respects.

Artificer:
1) Student Artificer. Lowest level. Studies smithing, alchemy, enchanting or cooking. Usually learning from someone else.
2) Adept Artificer. Shows proficient knowledge in artifice. Creates the bulk of shared guild items.
3) Shady Dealer. Creates and deals with regular items as well as some 'questionable' items. // Meadery/Winery Operator. Owns/operates a meadery/winery
4) Peculiar Collector. Not only creates items, but collects them. Sometimes deals with Mages Guild items.
5) Ayleid. Cultured individual who dabbles in the fine arts. Deals in historical artifacts, unique utensils and china (like Ysgramor's Soup Spoon (which is a fork)) and Daedric artifacts.
6) Dwemer. Your ingenuity in fabrication and collection is now rivaled only by the Dwemer themselves. Creates and collects whatever you wish.

Security:
1) Whelp. Lowest level. Does basic security work for the guild. Normally protects supply lines and trade caravans.
2) Guard. Guards guild structures/kiosks. // Militia. Soldier of the guild Militia.
3) Commander. Commander of the Guard // Sergeant Major. Sergeant Major of the Militia.
4) Major General. Major General of the Militia.
5) Lieutenant Colonel. Lieutenant Colonel of the Militia.
6) General. General of the Militia.

Guild progression will be finalised further to launch.

To join this guild, you must coherently and correctly write a comment in the section below, or you can fill out an application on the website. If you apply by comment, you need to follow these guidelines:

1) Comment your name you hope to have in The Elder Scrolls Online. It must be lore friendly, or at the very least, a name that seems lore friendly. No "#swagyolo420blazeit1337" or something along those lines.

2) Give a brief description of this character. Include what you intend for them to look like, a brief story of their past, their general age, their guild path (security, artificer or trader) and especially their faction and race.

3) Describe yourself IRL. Give a general age (early teens, late teens, early 20s etc.), your maturity level from 1-10, your first language, your personal focus (PVP, PVE, RP etc.), your time zone (NA, EU or Other) and whether you prefer voice chat or typing. Optional details to include would be a name, an exact age, a gender, your country etc. It's fine if you wish to suppress certain details, but we need to know your general age, maturity, first language, personal focus and method of communication.

4) Describe yourself in a bit more depth. Are you a 'casual', a moderate or an elitist? Are you a bit of a snob, or annoying, or a bit antisocial? This is separate from the last one because we want to know what we're dealing with, instead of an excess of cause and effect to find out 'who' our guild members are. Answer truthfully. You may want to talk about your love of the drums, or your Dyslexia, Autism, Depression etc. or even what offends you.

Key:
Pale Goldenrod = Inner Circle Member
Fire Brick = Ranks 1-3 in any field
Forrest Green = Ranks 4-5 in any field
Royal Blue = Rank 6 in any field
Lime = New Recruit

Peryn Moorcroft - 3/4 Breton, 1/4 Redguard. Illegitimate son of Evelyn Moorcroft (full Breton) and Azani (1/2 Redguard, 1/2 Breton). Fair-golden skin, cut on his lip, rough beard, short, slender build, scruffy, black hair and a slightly more distinct point in his ears. He inherited his father's business, the Shadow of Sorrow Trading Company. He is around the mid to late 20 mark and is a member of the Inner Circle. IRL, Peryn is Dylan Jackson, a male teen from New Zealand whose maturity varies from 4-9, the median being a 6.5. First language: English. Personal focus: commerce. Method of communication: both.

Pythadeous - True and honourable Redguard. Born from a great and glorious clan in Hammerfell. Raised with a sword in his hand and exploration in his heart. Tall, muscular, wears medium armour, and is never without a weapon. Consistently seen duel wielding, but won't hesitate to use destruction magic. He is 21, and specialises in smithing. IRL, Pythadeous is Tama Whata, a 14 year old male from New Zealand whose maturity varies from 4-8, the median being a 6. First language: English. Personal focus: PVP/All round. Method of communication: both.

Theodosius Ironfang - Proud and staunch Breton. Born from a mighty family hailing from Wayrest, High Rock. Talented in many areas of combat, his specialty is his sword and shield capabilities. Short, average build, is adventurous with his armour, and hates pottery with every fiber of his being. Consistently seen with a sword and shield, and thoroughly enjoys burning the flesh off of people. His age is indeterminable, but he thoroughly enjoys smithing. IRL, Theodosius is Isaac, an unoriginal, teenage male from New Zealand whose maturity is between 5-8, the median being 6.5. First language: English. Personal focus: PVP/All round. Method of communication: both.

Vryaer - Hard-knocked Dunmer. Orphaned at a young age, Vryaer has been drifting Tamriel since day 1. Learnt the Smithing trade during the Battle of Stonehalls, and has grown accustomed to the trade ever since. Years of fending off bandits have taught him how to wield his blade skillfully, and would eventually bring him to the allure of enchanting and spell-casting. Never shies away from a battle, especially if the coin is good. Enjoys exploring the deep, twisting dungeons of Tamriel. IRL, Vyraer's name is undisclosed, as well as Vyraer's age and gender. Vyraer vehemently hates trash talk, and would mute or ignore those who do so. Vyraer's maturity ranges between 6-8, the median being 7. Vyraer's personal focus is on crafting and PVE, but would probably help with city and fort defense. Vyraer's first language is English, and prefers to use voice chat.

Nivek - Non-traditional Dunmer. Grew up in the streets of Balmora with a sword in one hand and a smithing hammer in the other. Nivek would normally be seen either bashing hot iron into long swords and pieces of armor or using that same sword and piece of armor later to fend off skirmishers looking to rob him or his neighbors. Smith by trade, Soldier by nature, his above average strength is coupled with a sword, a shield and heavy armor. IRL, Nivek is Kevin "Kev" Matthews, a 15 year old male from the United States. Kev's maturity ranges between 4-8, the median being 6. Kev's main focus is on Military/Security. Kev's first language is English, and can use both voice chat and typing.

Phinis Hawkston -Phinis Hawkston is a kind hearted, young Breton, who has a love of artificing. When he was young, he lived in the poorer regions of High Rock. There was where he crafted his first staff, made of fallen branches and simple stones. Although he had no desire to learn magic, he was inspired in the art of artificing. When he is older, he will adventure out into the world to seek his fortune in artificing. IRL, Phinis is Eric Stroope, a 15 year old male from somewhere in the Pacific Standard Timezone. Eric's maturity places in at 9, doesn't like offending anyone or cussing. He considers himself more of a moderate, and his main focus is PvE/RP. Eric's first language is English, he prefers typing, but doesn't mind using voice chat.

Edward Hawkston - Edward Hawkston is a green-eyed, brown-haired, and a friendly young Breton. He unquestionably would purchase local goods and delicacies, then adventurously jaunt north to the next town over and sell them to other traders to make a miniscule profit. Edward enjoyed the art of bartering his goods for better profits than he distinctly had previously. The Shadow of Sorrow Trading Company is the next great leap to gaining his fortune. IRL, Edward Hawkston is Parker Brunhaver, a young teen from somewhere in the Pacific Standard Timezone. Parker's maturity places in at 7. Parker's main language is English and his focus is on PVE(Player Vs. Economy), PVE(Player Vs. Environment), and RP. Parker prefers typing, but he does have Skype.

Ra'josaar - Ra'josaar, a khajiit raised in the warm sands of Elsweyr by his mother, Dahnrassa. Ra'josaar's father had deserted his mother shortly after birth when he was born under the moons as a Suuthai Ra'at, instead of a Kathai Ra'at like himself an his father before him. There lived a merchant named Ab'iq once caught him trying to steal food from his stall to feed his mother and himself. Instead of beating him or reporting him to the authorities, he saw potential in Ra'josaar. Ab'iq taught him everything he knew, from his wise haggling techniques to his cunning ways of acquiring "less-reputable" goods. Ab'iq was like a father to Ra'josaar up until he was called to Summerset in order to compensate for the demand of weapons needed for the Dominion troops. Ra'josaar now lives to better the Shadow of Sorrow Trading Company as well as his own skills as a trader. Perhaps he will meet Ab'iq once again. IRL, Ra'josaar's name and gender is undisclosed. Ra'josaar is 14, with a maturity level between 8-9. English is Ra'josaar's first language, and will focus mostly on PVE and RP as well as providing for soldiers participating in PVP. Ra'josaar's time zone is Chicago(NA) time, and prefers typing for the most part.

Mathus Malades - Mathus Malades, a 25 year old Cyrodiilic Imperial merchant. Mathus comes from a merchant family that have been displaced by the war and are continuing business even though a lot of their stock is in the Imperial City. Mathus is cunning, professional and always strives to better himself. IRL, Mathus' name is Mathew, whose maturity ranges from 5-8, 6.5 being the median. Mathew's time zone is the Oceanic Time Zone and will focus on RP. English is Mathew's first language and he prefers typing.

Zana - Zana, a young and beautiful Breton warrior. Zana's lore beyond this is currently unavailable, at the moment. IRL, Zana is Zana Yiu, whose maturity is about a 7. Zana's time zone is EST+13, her personal focus will be on PVE but will engage in PVP where necessary and she doesn't mind voice chat and typing.

It's cross faction. The guild takes no sides, but it's based in High Rock because I will be playing on the Covenant side.

My name is Pythadeous, I am a True and Honourable Redguard serving under the Daggerfall Covenant flag, and fighting bravely for my home of Hammerfell. I am only young, 21 and my head full of dreams of adventure, but will push them aside on the field of battle. Tall, muscular, and armed I come as. My story is but one that many of my Redguard brothers would tell you, born and raised in a good environment with swords in hands, and thinking and hoping of seeing the world around me. I specialise in Blacksmithing, dual wielding and favour the medium armour, and sometimes burn my enemies with the force of destruction magic. My overseer is Tama Whata, 14 years of age and hails from the lands of New Zealand, he can be quite mature, and sometimes not, around a 4-8. His first language (and only) is Tamriellic and prefer either typing or voice chat. He likes all focuses, but would like to get more into PvP, and of course, he's a male. His friends think him antisocial, but he's just getting shit done, he's pretty nice most of the time, but doesn't like trash talkers. Thank you for considering my request for joining your guild, long live King Emeric!

Around 2 months, maybe. I'll have it finalized closer to launch, so not everything is set in concrete.

So, quick question before I declare allegiance, I still want to be a loyal and fervent citizen of the dominion and participate in raids and AvA. Could guild brothers located in the Dominion assist me with that?

Of course! That is, assuming more AD members actually join the guild. As is explained, the guild takes no sides in the war, but its guild members can. Hopefully we will get to the point where guild members will honorably fight alongside and against other guild members with respect and ferocity.

Hello,

let me introduce myself.
I am Corvus the grey, son of Gallus and Karliah. I am named after the Grey Fox, the most wanted thief during the oblivion crisis. Thanks to some great research my parents discovered the true identity of the grey fox.
While my mother was planning the fall of Mercer Frey, I was adopted by nobody less than Nocturnal herself. I dedicated myself to the twilight sepulcure. At my 11th birthday i became an agent of Nocturnal. My mother gave me the Nightinggale Blade which once belong to my father. After I became 14, I were invited by Brynjolf to help him take care of guild bussiness. I became a legendary thief under the street of Riften. After a while i became traveler. So now i am 20 asking if thid guild can use my service as a Shady Dealler.

I am a gamer from europe, my first language is dutch my second is english i prefer chatting without skype. But if you want to i can skype

I can guarantee success into joining this guild, but I need you to answer a few questions first.
1) Which race do you plan on being?
2) Considering these events happened with people from 4E201, how will you compensate for this time difference? Does Nocturnal send you back in time? Sorry if I sound pretentious, but I want to make sure the guild doesn't break a lot of lore.
3) What is your general age and maturity? Are you a teenager, or young adult etc. and how mature are you on a scale of 1-10? You don't have to tell us your age, but it would be preferred if we knew your general age. Maturity is something which cannot be avoided, because we want to maintain light-hearted, but professional without having to worry about a sex joke every 3 seconds. Saying a few every now and again is fine, but saying them all the time is just too repetitive.

In any case, welcome aboard!

Dude like DJ said those events are century's after ESO and it is impossible to determine the identity of the fox and there is no way a Daedric prince would adopt a kid so you character is completely impossible to exist.
