Death Knights in TESO

How do you feel about DeathKnights or as they are called in TESO DragonKnights, i myself have always been a raider and like the idea of implementing something that feels comfortable and natural into my character build, i just noticed this following image whilst going through our website, and after watching the gameplay video i noticed its very similar to a death grip, where the character shoots a chain which pulls the enemy to him.

If makes me wander what opportunities such abilities can play home to in battlegrounds, for example when a wall falls in battlegrounds, being able to pull down the enemies ranged casters or archers from behind there defences, bringing them down to our level and cleaving them in two. breaching the wall and a group could get one character each bringing them down from the wall, whilst there running back up to there defences, weaker members can breach the walls avoiding concentrated AOE.

After seeing this i will be including this move into my pvp style of game play. Has anyone else seen any other abilities from the game play footage, will we be able to conjure or summon a minion, could there be the possibility of spells such as death pact, add on desease spreading and you have yourself a TESO DK.

If they put Death Knights it'll be a WoW clone and I don't even think there are Death Knights in the TES universe

If the range is long, you might be able to pull down archers and casters, if they don't have the stamina to break out.

I doubt you'll be able to do that because the range most likely will be mid to close range for that skill. Even in that picture, the sphere is ~10 feet away. Even if you could pull people off walls, nobody would go on walls anymore, and they would stand farther back.

As for DK in TESO, hell no.

Theyre called DRAGON KNIGHTS, for the starting abilities as you lvl go to. http://www.elderscrollsonlineinfo/dragon-knight Fiery reach, slam, spiked armor, Dragon armor (special ability).

why the poop would they put death knights in? i feel like 1. they would like to be original and not copy WoW and come up with different (cooler) classes and 2. it would be a perfectly good way to get sued.

that chain ability is one i've seen in WoW, and that's whats got me thinking about the similarity of class style. If there called Dragon or Dragoon Knights then i suppose that will be my desired build for my character, a great opportunity to exploit a lot of tactics i have used for years in wow PvP, would be interested to find out the range of the chain pull ability, as this could be a game changer :)

I feel Dragon Knights are suitable for this kind of class. True it isn't an undead template but I think it is good enough. As for diseases I'm sure there will be some spells that the DK can use that will be similar to them. In short as long as you don't mind the lack of the undeath theme the Dragon Knight should suit you just fine. And hey you can still call it a DK :D

You could make a death knight yourself.

Play a Dragon Knight, use heavy armor and big 2 handers, then use conjuration and destruction. Conjure skeletons, steal souls, and use frost magic.

Assuming all of that is possible.

evol, it will be possible (maybe not stealing souls) since theyve said many times there sticking to the lore, and having it still be an ES game. :)

I am not sure if they will have a diseased/posion based melee class or not, but if they implemented it, I would not say it is a WoW clone. Anyone here play EQ1? They had a class called Shadow Knight, you guess it, evil disease/poison based tanky kind of guy.

EQ2 furthered the class, making it a very capable AOE tank, great for dungeon crawls, and fairly decent at raiding. Many would say the SK was OP. But, you get that with many classes depending on the scenario.

Remember how OP "real" bards were in EQ1? IF they were mario skilled enough to twist 5 songs you were dead.
1st: Snare song
2nd: Mana drain song
3rd: Personal run speed song
4th: DoT song
5th Dmg shield song

and if it was PvE forget about it...
Mana battery and Attk speed increase=non stop pulling

Anyway, my point albeit an obvious one is that a life sucking disease/poison based melee/tanky guy is not a TM of WoW. This type of character goes back all the way to DnD on the kitchen table:)

You could just roll a dragon knight and kit it out to feel like a death knight, without trying replicate all a death knights abilities.

They're not putting Death Knights in TESO, read the OP. The OP wants to make a dragon knight that plays similar to a Death Knight from WoW because it has a long range grab move.

Which, outside of the pull move, is completely different than a Death Knight. Seriously, it's just the pull move. You all are better than this.
