Most big name MMO's that are released try to put there name on computer accessories.

Star Wars Headphone/Mic

Warhammer Online Macro Keyboard

I'm considering getting the Anansi keyboard and the Razer Naga, but I'm hoping TESO will release their own branded mice and keyboards right before it comes out. And if The Elder Scrolls DOES release them, then I want them, because I'm just a consumer whore like that.

Whats your thoughts on them doing this, should they? Will they? Would you get it?

If they do it'll be from some random white-label company who throws it together, you're better off getting something quality, like a Razer Naga.

I don't think this will be the case. There's a good chance it will be steelseries as they seem to be the most eager for others. They don't make all that bad a products.

And Razer dipped into the pool.

Notice the Star Wars Naga?

There's nothing wrong with a company like Razer, who's already known for making quality gear, white-labeling their stuff out to other companies, it's when companies use crappy white-label products, and put their name on it. Even if ESO uses a quality manufacturer like Razer, the only difference will be the logo, is it that important to you? Why don't you just buy a Razer Naga and slap an ESO stick on there, then make-believe.

I am aware of what white-labeling is. I have owned razer before so yes it is high quality, and expensive.

You just answered the threads question with a question, my intention was to do exactly this, yes.

If they release a macro keyboard, that would be swell. If the game is all that different from other MMO's, it shouldn't resemble the carbon copys of others games. Shift, Zboard, what-have-you.

My point is, don't bother waiting, just get a firgan razer naga for beta. You'll be beta-master, or a "master beta", if you will.

@Seamus

Razer Naga has great reviews and such but it didn't work for me because it was uncomfortable. My performance in BF3 went from good to bad when I was testing out Razer Naga for over 20 days. I'll explain below:

While the quality and functionality is beyond exceptional, the most important feature that I look for a mouse is the grip type and the size. Finding the correct type will greatly improve accuracy, agility and speed.

I tried over a dozen mice until I found a one that worked well for me and it happened to be Logitech G700.

Check out Linus' video that explains about different grip types:

Yes, actually 5 different pieces for 3 different configurations. None of them work for me but the whole point of my post is to encourage people to try out the products. They give you 30 day return window for a reason, it's not only for defective items. I didn't say Naga was bad, I was actually upset because it didn't work for me.

Well given the amount of buttons you will need to press, it would seem that a TESO setup would be either;
A mouse with a lot of buttons.
or
A mouse with 2 buttons, and a keyboard with like 10 buttons.

There is about 0 need for custom equipment, it would be purely because you are a hardcore fan and just want there stuff, I recommend printing off pictures and gluing them to your current equipment.

Thank you @Tarantadu. That video is invaluable.

I have the Razer Hex and the grip just feels too different. I will definitely take this more into account next time.

Do you play competitively? Are you awesome with macros, scripts and default microsoft mice? If you are, good for you. I'm not saying people need any of this expensive stuff, but people should stop coming here and posting ill-informed. It went without saying that ease of use and especially MACROS are the staple of these accessories. I did put that I'm a consumer whore, but I'm not so moronic to just buy dolled up mice, otherwise I'd glue fake diamonds and shit on them.

While Swifty IS biased as he is sponsored by Razer, could you do as he does here? Could you dominate PvP on that level, manually doing your own scripting, and make people who DO put money into their mice and keyboards go screaming and crying? I very much doubt it.

Besides a mouse pad and headphones, the accessories do provide benefits other than there looks.

So do me a favor and drop the sarcasm, it is noted, thank you. Just do what Sordak did and say you wouldn't buy it.

Eck, a WoW gamep lay video.
Please do not relate WoW game lay to TESO is already abundantly clear that the combat system is very very different in these games.
World of Warcraft has established itself by allowing a lot of modding scripting and macroing, the incredibly large amount of spells you are given to use all at the same time forces you to use more buttons, in which case, the custom equipment in which you speak of is significantly better, I wont argue that.

What I am saying is that the information we have regarding TESO combat system makes having all of the extra equipment redundant, the only improvements you will probably find will be the obvious smoothness, and quality of which a lot of custom equipment in known for..
I'm not having a go at you, so don't get all defensive.

This topic was not even about that, it was about the computer accessories. If you want to discuss gameplay, please go to the proper place @Avidus. Enough slander.

So I think we can wrap that up, get a razor - if it doesn't fit replace it with RAT or something. We'll cross that bridge when we get to it :D
