Faction & Race:
Daggerfall Covenant
Redguard
I didn't make this multiple choice simply to see how many of us are starting off in each different faction. I'll probably end up trying different races, and I'm sure many others will as well.

My first choice, as of now, is Redguard with the Daggerfall Covenant. I like that the Daggerfall Covenant is explained as more "democratic" than the other factions. That, and I like all 3 of the races as well.

What are you choosing at the start?

As a start, probably Ebonheart, because it feels like home and gives me the chance to compare TESO to the single player games. Eventually I'll have character in every faction though - where I'll PVP depends on where my friends will play.

Good to see you here Faulgor.
Definitly going to be on Ebonheart Pact. They just have all the Races i am interrested in. However i will check out the Aldmeri Dominion because i want to know if there are actually buildings made of Insect Wings.

The Daggerfall Covenant definitely. I have always played as a Redguard since I began with Morrowind, as their skills always seemed to fit my play-style. I am also intrigued by the Daggerfall Covenant's approach to democratic values as well as using trade and business to build their legitimacy. It's also nice just to explore a part of TES that we have not witnessed in quite some time.

I will go for the Daggerfall covenant, Tes 2 was on of my favorite in the series so i'm really looking forward to se Zenimax take on the realms of Iliac bay.

Is Wayrest already beeing known as not beeing in the Game? As far as i know nothing states it is not in.
The only City from wich i know that it is not in the Game would be Winterhold.

nothing have been said about Wayrest, but it is one of the three largest cities in the bay so it should be in, but i have a feeling it has been substituted for Orsinium.

Faction & Race:
Ebonheart Pact (Dunmer)
Hello people!
As all my characters since Morrowind are Dunmer... I will play as one, once more. In the Ebonheart Pact of course (Despite I hate argonians and nords haha )

I am going to be Breton as I really want to explore High Rock and Hammerfell, and the Wrothgarian mountains. I will also choose other races later on probably to see the rest of the continent in more detail.

Usually I play a healer as my main and for some strange reason I think it's going to be an Argonian this time, so Ebonheart Pact for me. Lays-On-Claws or something. And a Dunmer magic user and a Nord tank sound intriguing as well.

I'm actually rather surprised that the Daggerfall Covenant is currently in the lead. Granted our community is still rather small, but I expected some votes for the Aldmeri Dominion and a majority leaning towards the Ebonheart Pact because of the recent TES games. I expect the Daggerfall Covenant will likely be the underdog come release when people choose their factions.

I have to agree with Redguard King. Redguards and Orcs were always the least liked Races and Bretons were not picked for their flavor but for beeing the best Mages in the Game.

I however never thought the Aldmeri Dominion would come out on second Place. The Daggerfall Covenant would be the Faction alot of non TES players would go. As they have both elements a regular Fantasy Fan knows (Standart Humans AND Orcs) the setting is less confusion than the one of the other Factions.

I mean i dont think i have to explain the weirdness of Morrowind, and good luck explaining to a WoW player why the Elves in this game only eat meat, and brew beer out of it, or what these huge banners listing the Names of the ancestors are all about. Or why the crazy Catpeople only talk about sugar.

I always figured the Dominion would be the Faction that does best in PvP, from a generic fantasy Standpoint they are the least interresting. Ok they have your Standart Elves (Bosmer, you can kinda make a legolas Character with that) but they are (if done in the TES way) short and not considerably more attractive than Humans, sometimes alot less.

The Covenant has Bretons (Standart Humans) Orcs (Zug Zug) the Pact has nords (everyone can relate to vikings) and Dunmer (and i swear there will be alot of DRIZZTS running around)

So if im right, the Dominion will come out to be the TESO equivalent to Pre BC Horde. It will have the dedicated Players in it, that actually play good and dont care about the buttocks of their toons.

Ebonheart Pact for me as I really like the Dunmer as a race.
I'm tempted to create a Altmer on Aldmeri Dominion as well just because I think it would be fun to RP a really snide and stuck up mage/fighter.

I do have the feeling that the Ebonheart Pact is going to be somewhat of a bloated faction though just because in general people are always Dark Elf fans and with Skyrim being the latest game in the series I think it might push some more people towards playing Nord.
