Which gaming platform(s) do you prefer? What do you like about them?

Let's make a comparison between a gaming console and a proper gaming PC, not a PC that was built from old left over parts so some grandma can use it to print out coupons.

#1 Gaming PC
- Proper gaming PC would be 10-100 times more powerful than any gaming consoles
- I prefer keyboard and mouse over gamepad especially for competitive gaming
- Stereoscopic 3D Vision 2, I wouldn't be able play games without it. Consoles uses fake 3D that makes me nauseous
- Multi-display setup
- Upgradeability
- Can tab out and switch to different games instantly

#2 Xbox 360
- I kept my Xbox 360 because of the Kinect sensor
- Dance Central is fun

I like every gaming platform(PC or Console, Xbox or PS3, doesn't matter).

Console/Platform wars are pointless to me!

PCs have their superiority in many ways, but I still love a controller in my hands. Only exception are RTS games, although Halo Wars was a hell-of-alot of fun, and it used a controller.

PC are the best but that's just IMO, but I'm the guy who chew his fingernail off after scratching his ass.

To be honest, It depends entirely on the game.

I prefer ES games on console, partly because i feel more immersed in the game and partly because I can sit in bed playing until i fall asleep.
Games with typing chat functions i prefer on PC.

Games with 100000 different buttons with 6 functions each, i don't play at all so the need fora keyboard has never been major for me.

PC, for everything, except batman arkham games, devil may cry games and assassins creed. Because for some reason I need to have my ps3 controller in my hands when playing those games to enjoy them.

PC's are better, but not everyone can afford a gaming rig Winking_grinning

& although I prefer mouse+keys I still find myself using the xbox controller for PC when im feeling lazy (theirs nothing like sitting back & killing things) Laughing

Batman games had problems with DX11 and that was the reason I didn't play it when it was released. Running it with DX9 was fine though but I think my setup would be overkill even in DX11.

I have a wired Xbox 360 controller hooked up to my PC. I used it for games like The Witcher 2, Dark Souls etc. But any games that have cross hairs I prefer the precision of my mouse.

For racing games, nothing beats the Logitech G27 steering wheel set.

"Can tab out and switch to different games instantly"
so you play two games at the same time?

"Stereoscopic 3D Vision 2, I wouldn't be able play games without it"
what ever happened to the good old nintendo days lol

I prefer console gaming, mainly because of familiarity, but some games only feel "right" on console, like metal gear, GTA fifa/pes.
When it comes to RTS games well it has to be pc.
Unfortunately I played skyrim on xbox and ps3 but not pc, and I am sure that the pc version is better, and soooo modifiable.

I prefer consoles. They are much more easier to transport, in my opinion. Also, I just prefer physical copies of games. Call me old-fashioned, but I feel like I am only "renting" PC games since a lot moved to cloud servers like on Steam.

I'm gonna try an remain as neutral as I can, because I know how bad I get if I start on the whole PC is superior train. So I'll say this. Hardware powerwise, pc is hands down superior. Controller versatility and accuracy, pc is hands down superior. Consoles are easier to make games for though.

More than 2 games at the same time:

Crysis 3 Open Beta
TERA Online
Dirt 3

I grew up playing Nintendo but I can't do flat gaming anymore, I gotta have the depth. If the object I'm focusing on is supposed to be 100 meters away from POV then I better be looking at it 100 meters behind my monitor. Not playing in stereoscopic 3D is like catching a ball with one eye.

There was one game I didn't mind playing in 2D though and that was Diablo III, because the game play depth doesn't really make much of a difference even when 3D is on. the HUD is the only thing that appears closer.
