So I was watching a replay of ESO coverage during E3, and noticed something that looked kinda cool.....

http://revision3.com/e3#player

Right around 1:43 or so...players on a boat fighting a sea serpent. Possible Endgame large-scale pve content? Random encounter? Hmm...this is interesting!

For viewing the video itself, it appears you have to look around the website a bit for the video titled, "The Elder Scrolls Online New Gameplay Walkthrough with Adam Sessler!..." You can find it in the "E3 2013" category on the red bar. I took the image from the video for convenience, though sorry that its quality hasn't translated well!

It's definitely a cool and deadly looking monster to fight! I'm guessing it'll definitely be a group battle as it'd be sort of disappointing if a solo player could defeat it was ease. If it was a scripted event it'd be cool, but I'd like it even more if it was some sort of dynamic random event. Would add that sense of danger when traveling at sea.

In terms of fighting it, I'm guessing players will have to jump off the ship and engage it in the shallow water; much like the fight in the link below.

But I hope that it'd actually attack the ship, and you could fight it from the deck. (There's a bit of coding complexity with that no doubt.) But in the video itself it is standing there passively while fireballs are raining down on the ship.

Huge snakes attacking boats? o_o This keeps getting better and better.

Talking about snakes I wonder what this could be?

I'm guessing Molag Bal has a few different daedra of his own to throw at us! Previously I believe only the Daedroth was a daedra that was primarly aligned with Molag Bal, so it makes sense to add some new evil defiling creatures to rival the diverse legions of Mehrunes Dagon from Battlespire and Oblivion.

That's my best guess at least.

@Horizon Seeker Thanks for the screenshot I never know where to find things like that. Yes I'd hope it'd be something random, but I can see some sort of instanced dungeon or something where you are escorting a boat perhaps with a dignitary from your faction and must defend it? Possibly even one involving the ship we'll find ourselves on after Coldharbour.

@Nerevarine from the looks of it, it is a daerda from Coldharbour. Notice the environments, and general aesthetic of the shot. I'm betting its a new daedra made for the game :) exciting! good find

Just remember beta isn't actually the game. It's a prototype. There won't be everything included, and some things won't work. Don't go in expecting ESO because it'll only be ESO's skeleton.
