So my headset had a nasty accident after a run in with my cat and I now need a replacement. Was wondering if anyone had recommendations on a good set. Hoping to get something wireless this time around.

Honestly, I probably have te worst advice, especially given most players are looking for low to mid price stuff that's still good quality. I am personally getting a pair of astro a50's soon so I guess that's my recommendation?

I would be willing to pay the 300 those are, but my main question is is it worth it? I mean if i'm only getting something 5% better for an extra 100 I'd just get the 200 dollar pair if you get what I'm saying.

Personally i recomend seriously Roccat Kave's 5.1 - headphone. Durable, amazing quality ... And what is best that these are quite "cheap".
And i also have Logitech G430s .. Quite comfortable and good quality, 7.1.

Totally understand. From what I've read bout them, they are great quality, and I think they look sweet as fuuuu.

http://www.gamesradar.com/best-gaming-headset/. A pretty neat little review on gamesradar, and it's even split into price ranges. If anything, you could use it as a good starting point

I have a decent Turtle Beach headset I got for only $50. It might have been I sale, but I know full price wouldn't be much more then that. I really like them and they are very comfortable.

That's what i had last time, though I was wondering if there was something better or equal but at a better price point.

I got the Astro A40 with the mixamp. My reasoning for it was, I watch a lot of movies/shows on my computer so I wanted a nice sounding headset. Also they look nice and are comfortable, although every few hours I find myself removing em for a couple minutes. I also liked how it is compatible with consoles as well, although moving the mixamp from pc to console is a pain if you do it a lot.

I was looking at maybe going for the A50, but a lot of reviews say when comparing wired headsets to wireless headsets that the quality of the wireless is definitely not as good as the wired, that's why I went with the A40.

However, is it worth it? I'm sure you can find headsets that are also good for cheaper, but if you got the money then go for it. I think Astro headsets are the best overall quality though.
