This may seem stupid to ask but I'm in a big dilemma cannot choose between Dunmer and Altmer. So I ask for your help fellow Elder Scrolls fans. I plan to play a Warrior.

Altmer make the best meat shields in the game, it's a well-known fact.

Well, with what we know right now, in TESO will don't have race's attributes, so is indiferent the race you will choise.
But, if you use the previous games data, to be a Warrior I will have to say Dunmer
Altmer has all their race attributes to magic, but the Dunmer are a versatile race, with proficiency in warriors skills, like "blades" and "blunt" (Oblivion), stealth skills like "marksman" and "short blade" (Morrowind) and battle magic like "destruction".
To a warrior type, the Dunmers are the best elf race to play.

There are other factors you should consider, like population, do you want to be on a heavily populated faction? Also, what areas do you want to spend a lot of time in, Morrowind/Skyrim/Black Marsh, or Summerset Isles/Valenwood/Elsweyr?? Also, which faction's philosophy do you agree with the most? Who would you rather have for allies? etc.

the population is irrelevant. due to the megaserver that is completeley out of the equaiton.
It realy comes down to: wich race do you like, wich part of the world do you want to be in and where are your friends.

if you want the logical choice based on those races lore than Dunmer is the choice. Altmer are know for magical prowess not necessarily tanking. But what Qallidex said is what should really matter. Do you want to be an Elf that feels it should rule all races because they were here first? or do you want to be a Dunmer that are known for enslaving other races and worshiping the Daedra.
There are of course other factors but those are some that stand out.

If 42.5% of players are playing EP, and 32.5% are playing AD, and the last 25% DC, then you'll generally see this equation in Cyrodiil, as well, the Megaserver isn't going to change that...

untrue.
the population of PvP players is usually around the same.
Keep in mind most of those people that flock to one faction are casual trash.

Oh really? They'll be split down the middle, 33.3333 (vinculum over the 3)% each? A higher percentage of Ebonheart players, means a higher percentage of ebonheart players in PvP.

Well I like Morrowind with all it's pretty volcanoes and ashlands but I also do not like the fact that too many people will play Dunmer and EP

Well population is relevant but you (or your Guild) will be choosing your "server" after you create your character so.... if population matters to you it will be more a matter of which server to choose based on your preferred faction, the opposite of what is typical in MMOs.

I wouldn't count on the overall playerbase being equal across factions, but I'm sure the Cyrodiil severs will even out as much as possible. Not too worried about even factions in a three faction game.

If you want to be a warrior, your best bet is Redguard or Orc. The Daggerfall Covenant is where it's at my friend.
