Guilds get their own continents.

There are several continents opposite to Tamriel on the other side of Nirn, they will be accessible via boat and instanced. Each guild has their own, and if you're in multiple guilds the Continent you zone into is decided by the guild tag you are currently displaying.

I don't remember where I heard it. I know there will be no player housing at launch. But I feel like I remember them going over the idea of adding it later on. After release.

As ive mentioned in another thread: Phasing.
Get a blank space either in a city or outside, thats phased to you, you can see it when you are in the overall area (but nobody else unless you invite them) and let you either have a house there (you can also do that like EQ as an instance)
OR do it like heartfire.

WoW is already doing something like this in MoP with a farm you can have. So why not do it in TESO. Basically its like heartfire. Youll acquire this piece of land and build a small house on top. And throughout the game you will add more and more to it till you almost got a little manor once you hit max level. or it could be a goal to attain after max level.
And probably the possibility to grow ingredients and some crafting goods. like a farm of sorts.

And of course full customization of the interior, like you can do in EQ2 (if a game that old trumps you in housing, youre doing it wrong)

It would be cool if housing actually meant something in TESO, rather than just a place to store your crap and put up trophies no one will ever see.

For instance, if you work hard at building up a domicile you could earn income from it, or temporary buffs for resting at home, cooking, etc.

In General, that is how Sony used player housing...

You could call to it from anywhere in the world...

Store gathered items in a crafting chest.... While crafting in your home, you auto consumed the crafting mats out of your crafting box..

There were several fast travel items to different regions of the world that could be placed in your home..

People that visited your home were able to save the broker fee (ah FEE) when buying items from players.

Also there were items that had function besides appearance...
A plant you could grow and feed that yielded consumable items..

A mail box so you could check your mail there...

A guild door, when clicked on, takes you to the entrance of your guild hall..

I agree that if a game that is almost 10 years old has a better housing system than you... either get rid of the housing all together... or give us some features!!!!

But it wasn't funny.
This is how misinformation and rumors are created, which are unappreciated when there's so much we still don't know but want to.

This sounds like a relatively good setup, but I wonder why Zenimax chose to not include player housing on the launch of the game? It's going to be very difficult being forced to have a slotted inventory without a place to store our items.

I guess that means no more hoarding items!
