Inspired by the RP Vorago.

In the RP Vorago, a lot of it was about trying to protect a target of the Dark Brotherhood from assassination. This RP would be similar, but nobody would start out in a coma. There could be Morag Tong members, a target or two, some friends. It could span all of Tamriel.

Name: Foriel Barkwing

Sex: Male

Race: Bosmer, Werewolf

Age: 25

Occupation: Spy, Scout, Soldier for the Aldmeri Dominion. Adventurer. Thieve's Guild member.

Appearance: Foriel is by all means a normal looking Bosmer, if a little short. But, if you look closely you might see two quivers underneath his cloak, along with a satchel full of all types of potions. And the hard, intelligent look in his eyes.

Personality: Foriel is smart, loyal, and brave. He is also a little arrogant, has a bit of a temper, and has some attention problems.

Backstory: (Optional)

Skills: Archery*, Swordsmanship (Dual handed* and one sword), Sneak*, Lockpicking*, Pickpocket, Medium Armor*, Speech (Tamrielic and some Beast languages), Acrobatics, Unarmed. *=Major Skill.

Religious Views: Foriel is a devout worshipper of the Bosmeri Pantheon. He however does not believe that prayers get through but rather actions. Thus, he always helps beggars, gives food to the poor, etc.

Equipment: Foriel has some Bosmer medium armor, two glass swords, multiple daggers hidden on his person, a glass bow, some potions and poisons. He wears a cloak over his armor, and always carries around a journal, book he is writing, and a book he is reading.

Companions: Foriel has few close friends, lying to others that are close to him does not appeal to him. As such, the only people he truly feels close to are his parents, Thaeril, and Anrelri (the friendly side). He also owns a black horse named Midnight and a brown-white falcon named Aria. Thaeril also has a few messenger birds, mostly falcons, that he allows Foriel to use.
2. @SinisterPledge (Target #2) (http://www.tesof.com/topic-zella-murkwat...-innocence)
Sex: Female

Race: Nord

Age: 16

Occupation: Outlaw

Appearance: Lush red hair, usually uncombed, adorns a face of smooth surfaces and gentle details. Many men have had her face printed behind their eyelids for a long time after seeing her, yet her guarded personality has kept them away from her. Dark blue eyes tell a dark tale of a battle inside her own head, and her slender and delicate body reveals a woman who does not take more than she needs.

Personality: I don't like to write down a personality because it's impossible for me (both logically but also because I simply don't want to) to say "this is how she is". You don't know how you're gonna react in any situation. She's still 16 and developing biologically and mentally. I'll give you a few guidelines though, that you can notice at a first glance: Shy, suspicious, nervous and kind.

Backstory:

She tightened her grip of the hilt as she plunged the dagger through the chest bone. It was hard and thick, the last line of defense to the man's heart. He gasped and looked at her with surprised and helpless eyes. The blood rushed to lay like a thick moat around the puncture wound as she removed the blade and wiped it on a rag in her hand. She glanced at the body as it gave it's last sign of life. Her mind was calm, focused – but her heart was racing with adrenaline from the kill. The excitement filled her body, while her doubt lay in the background, brooding...

Zella Murkwater comes from a family of outlaws who lives beside a lake the locals call Murkwater. Brought up along with her brother, she was introduced to the criminal acts of her elders at an early age, as pick-pocketing led way to burglary and scams evolved to conspiracy. She was the quiet one, often working in the shadow of her brother's extravagant behavior. Where he would punch down the victim, she would search the unconscious body. Where he would charm his way into a house, she would poison the food. Her brother would later find comfort in his Daedra worship, while she was once again left in the dark. She liked it that way, yet a certain crude emptiness would take a stronger root each time she was left alone.

One day she was approached by a friend of the family with an urgent matter that needed to be attended. He was a city official with strong ties to the underworld, and someone had found out a bit more about his unconventional habits than he felt comfortable with. Zella had never been offered a contract to murder someone before, but she knew what this was. She had heard countless of conversations like this during her lifetime, as she would eavesdrop outside her father's study. Countless of bedtime stories about the Dark Brotherhood had kept her up at night, yet for her they were just that – stories. The only murderers she knew were her own flesh and blood. Her parents, uncles, aunts and cousins. There was no sacrament, rituals or mystery. Just a promise of payment for blood to be spilled.

Her mother had told her that day would come when her life would change. It would start in her own body. Something would change. She would feel it in her gut as she contemplated the act, and it would spread it's way up through the body to her head. When the act was done, the hardest battle would be fought in her heart. Should she win that one, each time it would be a little easier. It would numb her down. Her mother was wrong. It wasn't that simple, she wished it was. She wished she had never accepted that contract, even if it meant being shunned by her own family. She wished a lot of things to be different, but they weren't, and she had to live with that for the rest of her life.

Sheathing her dagger, Zella crouched over the body and removed his belt pouch and a signet ring she would need as proof of the kill. A gust of wind took a hold of the house and the windows gnashed in agony, reminding her that her time here was done. She quickly checked the room to make sure she left no sign of her presence, other than a dead man on the floor, then hurried out through the door. The night greeted her with clear breeze and she huddled under her cloak as she ran into a dark alley of a rotten town...

Skills: Her nimble body and years of experience, combined with her young age and awareness makes her an excellent thief and burglar. The dozen or so victims she has left in her wake has given her a basic knowledge of the pressure points and anatomy of the humanoid body. A number of confrontations along with the tiresome sparring with her brother has given her a somewhat competent sword arm as well.

Religious Views: She cares little for the deities, other than the fact that she acknowledges their existence. There was a time in her life when she wanted to believe the Eight Divines had some sort of plan for her, but since then that foolish naivety has been ripped from her in the most cruel of ways. She does not judge others for their faith, but makes little effort to show appreciation or respect for those who come to her with their gods will or favor in mind.
3. @Danaris (Target #3)
4. @Isilmo
Name: Linor Aethiel

Sex: Male

Race: Bosmer

Age: 29

Occupation: Alchemist

Appearance: Short thin-limbed Bosmer with shoulder length brown hair and slightly tanned skin. Quite pale and sad looking.

Personality: Somewhat withdrawn and careful to trust others, he is actually a very gentle soul inside and a faithful friend. He is generally the more calculating, intelligent and logical of the two twins.

Backstory: (Optional)
He was born in Valenwood to a tribe of Bosmer living near the Cyrodiil border neighboring the Strad river. His tribe was surprisingly unfriendly towards the nearby Cyrodiiliac settlers however.
He spent most of his childhood in the woods with his twin brother Linis but unlike him he never liked archery and was more interested in plantlife.

He had trouble understanding the Green pact rules and didn't see the point in not making use of the greenery of the forests and at the age of 9 he was caught mashing leaves into pulp and was exiled from the tribe.
Linis seeing the injustice of this harsh sentence despite growing up to be a promising hunter and source of pride for the whole tribe chose to also leave with his brother into exile.

Linor and his brother ran off into Cyrodiil and made it to Anvil where they worked in a warehouse at the city docks to make money and begged in the streets to make enough money to get food while still sleeping in the streets and eating scraps.

By the age of 10 they chose to leave the streets of Anvil and go North towards Chorrol. After crossing the Imperial reserve the two brothers settled in the woods of Chorrol making a meager earning from Linis' hunting and Linor's potions at which he turned out to excel. For the First time since leaving their tribe the two were happy and had shelter and food on a regular basis.

This went on for 10 years and by the age of 22 Linor persuaded his brother to leave their simple lives in Chorrol to go further North. Linor saw his now substantial skill in Alchemy could lead them to more prosperous lives than Linis' hunting and so the two brothers left for High Rock through Hammerfell along the edge of the Dragontail mountains.

Their journey through Hammerfall was slow as they saw no hurry and had plenty of money to lead a simple travelling lifestyle for a while. Spending 2 years in Hammerfell altogether from Elinhir to Skaven and also travelling to Sentinel despite it not being on their way they much enjoyed the warmer seaside climate. Finally choosing to leave and travel by the coast they crossed the Bjoulsae river into Wayrest.

From then on their lives went on and in fact they did make more money and managed to open a small back alley alchemy shop where Linor made his potions with ingredients supplied by his brother. However Linor soon found out that in the Aristocratic world of Wayrest there is a much larger market for Poisons and antidotes than general remedies aswell as Linis finding out that his hunting is of no use here in the big city he was hired as a guard and marksman to keep unwanted visitors off property and making some more disreputable acquaintances. Going into the business of poison brewing Linor made substantial amounts of money and even greater in antidotes needed by paranoid nobility that didn't want anyone to know of their purchases.

Unfortunately after a few months of shady business in Wayrest's underground someone whose relative was poisoned tracked down the twins and gave them up to the city guard. Luckily due to Linis' contacts the brothers fled the city during the night and made it into the country.

They spent the next 5 years in the Wrothgarian mountains working as mercenaries or out in the wild with bandits and outlaws. Linor would work as a healer while Linis was a bow-for-hire. The two somehow made ends meet having lost their homes, jobs, their gold and above all their prosperous lives.
By 28 Linor and Linis chose to travel once more staying in inns and taverns or just under the open sky in search for a new home somewhere in Tamriel.

Skills: Very skilled at Alchemy. Has extensive knowledge of Potions and poisons. Is intelligent and has good business sense. could be seen as streetwise. Knows how to use a dagger well.

Religious Views: Worships no gods in particular having lost the belief in the Green Pact long ago. He hardly believes in divine powers seeing that all that matters is money and to be lucky.

Name: Linis Aethiel

Sex: Male

Race: Bosmer

Age: 29

Occupation: hunter/Bow-for-Hire

Appearance: Short Bosmer with well muscled arms and shoulder length brown hair. his skin is moderately tanned. Seen as handsome in a rough and wild way.

Personality: Funny and open unless he is in a dangerous situation or hunting in which case he closes in completely and concentrates solely on the task at hand. He loves his twin brother dearly. He is the more impulsive and physically impressive of the two.

Backstory: (Optional)
He was born in Valenwood to a tribe of Bosmer living near the Cyrodiil border neighboring the Strad river. His tribe was surprisingly unfriendly towards the nearby Cyrodiiliac settlers however.
He spent most of his childhood in the woods with his twin brother Linor. Being very skilled at archery form a young age he was seen as a very promising hunter for the tribe in the future.

At the age of 9 his twin brother, Linor, had broken the most sacred green pact and thus was exiled from the tribe, his own parents feeling disgust for him and marking him as a outcast. Not being able to stand loosing his beloved brother he chose to also leave his tribe and future behind and accompany Linor into exile.

Linis followed Linor to Anvil where they worked in a warehouse at the city docks to make money and begged in the streets to make enough money to get food while still sleeping in the streets and eating scraps.

By 28 Linor and Linis chose to travel once more staying in inns and taverns or just under the open sky in search for a new home somewhere in Tamriel.

Skills: An amazing Archer he has mastered marksmanship to the utmost. He is strong, or atleast stronger than Linor and knows how to defend himself and use a shortsword or dagger.

Religious Views: Sees Y'ffre as an important god despite his brothers past and his own lack of abeyance to the green pact.

Story:

The story of Alator Virane begins in Arcanea, a small city hidden away from those who did not belong to the Council, in the mountains close to Daggerfall. Arcanea was the home of the Council of Arcanea, and ancient order wich provided an excellent education in magic and had one of the largest libraries in Tamriel. While Arcanea wasnt a very large city in the center stood a great and glorious citadel about in the same size as the college of Winterhold in the white stone that the Council preferred to use.

Alators father was the great wizard Agrastyr Virane, Agrastyr was the lord of the Virane family and a master wizard of the Council. Alators mother was Julienne Belamont, she was a skilled healer and had some skill with flame spells.

The young Alator started his education at the Council at the age of five. His teachers noticed that he was his fathers son indeed, for he reached the highest grades in magic, with the exception of illusion, and in lore. Alator was also fond of writing, poetry and sword-practice. He eventually found out that he wasnt just a skilled student, but a powerful one aswell when he could cast spells that no-one else in his age at Arcanea could do. His father had then explained to him smiling that the Viranes had been blessed with a great arcane gift in their blood. But he warned the young Alator to never grow arrogant since that would only lead to his death. Alator heeded his fathers advice and did not grow arrogant, but at the same time he developed a despise for those who were.

He eventually became the Archmages personal apprentice at the age of fifteen, the Archmage back then was Thorley Ashford. Alator found the man harsh but just, and the two came to be good friends after a couple of months. Alator learned much about leading during this time, and the thing that he found the most fun was practicing magic duels with the Archmage.

Though the peace would not last forever... one night when Alator was only eighteen an Arcanean scout came running to the Archmage and reported that "A great host of undead is nearing the city, they are led by Necromancers from the Order of the black worm!" That order was just a small order yet that the Inner Council had decided was too small to prove to be a serious threat, and as the Coucil already had destroyed a great ammount of those kinds of orders that practiced dark magic they thought that it would be easy. The Council eve thought that they had been wiped out after the Council had sent a large part of their mages and guardians to destroy the cult. They was wrong. The Archmage gathered all members of the Council that could fight and manned the citadel after calling everyone that was outside it inside it again. The army of undead swarmed into Arcanea, the Council tried to fend them off with their magic but the Councils mages numbered only in dozens, and were too few to fend them off. The undead army reached the citadel and attacked the gates. The Necromancer groups leader during the assault, a vampire Altmer nmade Cirion togheter with the other Necromancers managed to weaken the defensive enchantments enouh for the undead army to ram through it with a battering ram.

Alator joined the fighting in the courtyard, it was a confused and bloody battle. The Necromancers started with sending waves of undead to weaken the defenders. When the Necromancers entered the battle themselves things went ill. For every defender the Council lost, they gained another enemy as the Necromancers raised them as undead. Alator saw how the Archmage dueled with several of the Necromancers Before getting hit by an arrow in the chest and taken inside. Alators mother fell as she tried to rally the rest of the defenders into a counter attack and was struck down by Cirion. His father fell not long after that when he tried to take revenge on Cirion but got engaged in a duel against three other necromancers before he even reached the Cirion.

Alator and the rest of the survivors had to retreat inside were the Archmage named him the new Archmage on his deathbed. A small Group led by the lorekeeper defended the gate of the citadel to give time for Alator to lead the last survivors, around a dozen, out of Arcanea. As the survivors ran towards the forest Three frost atronachs was summoned infront of them. The huge magical beings charged right into them, five more lay dead on the ground before the last atronach was destroyed.

Then out from the shadows behind them someone appeared while clapping its hands, Alator regognized that it was Athar, a former wizard of the Council. Athar said "That went well... goodbye my friends, may you rot in... whereever you end up!" as he finshed speaking two others came up next to him and Before Alator or anyone else could react they started sendig spells at them. Alator just got up a ward in time but with no time to charge it up wholly and thus it was destroyed and he was knocked to the ground. As Alator struggled to rise he saw how the main tower fell into the burning ruins of what had been Arcanea a few hours ago. Alator would never forget that sight. Athar laughed and said "So the mighty Archmage rises again... must I kill you myself?" Alator replied coldly "You can try." Before he quickly got up and sent a thunderbolt that hit Athar in the chest and killed the two other necromancers with magefire.

Alas a great deal of Death was dealt that night, and it evolved into a narrow escape from Arcanea for Alator with the Necromancers not far behind. Alator managed to reach Daggerfall were he got protection from the king, the Viranes were after all nobles loyal to him. Despite all his losses Alator stayed true to the ways of the Council and did his best to safeguard High Rock. After a couple of years he revisited Arcanea and found that the Necromancers had not been able to breach the defensive magic of the library and took the more important and advanced of the books of magic there and returned to Daggerfall. Alator was very fond of the nature and travelled much. In one of his travels he encountered a mage that had found a way to manipulate life itself through the school of restoration. Alator learned the secret from him and started using it to prolong his lifespan.

During the following century Alator was focused on becoming as great as he could. That pursue took him to places such as the Crystal Tower were he spent years learning its secrets, then later on he travelled to the Arcane University that was newly established and spent several years more studying. He eventually returned to High Rock and built his own tower not so far away from were Arcanea was. It ended up as a wide five-level tower with a large library. This was were Alator holed himself up most of the time when he wasnt on travels or buisness.

One day however he heard the rumors of a very powerful Necromancer spreading death to the people of the Wrothgarian Mountains, Alator quickly journeyed there and his pursue took him Deep within the Mountains, there however he was ambushed by a werewolf that was hunting. Alator managed to slay it with his longsword as it jumped at him, but some of its blood fell poured into Alators mouth and Alator became a werewolf himself. Determined to destroy the necromancer he didnt turn back because of this.

After pursuing the Necromancer for a week he found him in a tower ruin on a mountain, and to his suprise it was Cirion, the vampire who had assaulted Arcanea so many years ago. Alator and Cirion engaged in a duel without a word. The conflict was fierce and so intense that the ground between them started to glow of all the magic that clashed over it. Alator dueled with Cirion for hours, neither side seemed to gain an advantage. Alators wrath boiled inside him as he unleashed a lighting storm at Cirion. Cirion answered with sending a beam of frost magic at Alator. The two beams clashed between them and for the first time in the duel Cirion said something, he yelled "You'll never prevail pathetic human!" Alator did not answer, instead he clenched his jaw tightly togheter as Cirions beam was pushing back his own. He threw himself aside as Cirions beam was about to reach his hands, the beam flew out in the air instead and Cirion stopped casting it. The elf laughed and prepared to finish him with a spell. Cirion said "Any last Words Before I send you to your parents... "Archmage"?" Alator looked up at him and answered coldy "You will pay for what you did at Arcanea, in blood." then Alator raised his both hands and pointed them towards Cirion, and with a wordless shout he unleashed a wave of pure light-magic that his Cirion and flunged him backwards with a scream.

Alator collapsed of exhaustion and the wounds he had gotten in the fight against Cirion and woke up a few hours later and managed to heal himself. He found Cirions corpse laying on the ground, he left it there.

Alator journeyed back to his home and did not tell anyone what he had been up to despite all the questions that he got. He spent several years were he practiced to gain Control over his wolf-spirit inside him. When he had succeeded in gaining Control his focus returned to his duties as the Archmage of the Council of Arcanea, such as eliminating threats such as vampires were they appeared, and to the learning of magic. He has taken several apprentices whom he ha tutored in the arcane arts.

When the Reachmen invaded High Rock Alator when realising that they would have no time to try to aid the other kingdoms, helped in strenghtening the already great defences of Daggerfall. When the Reachmen reached Daggerfall and was engaged in battle by Emeric Alator joined the sortie that the king of Daggerfall sent to aid the young Emeric. Alator used his magic to help to completely break the Reachmen's lines and defeated dozen's of Reachmen mages in duels that day, when the Daggerfall Covenant was signed and the king of Daggerfall bowed his head to Emeric, Alator gladly bent his knees to the Young king.

Even years Daggerfall Covenant was formed he still stands as a fierce supporter of it, around the time when it was signed he officially started recruiting for the Council. With the Council and its allies Alator will do his best to fight for the Covenant in the war that is undoubtly coming.

Using inspiration to make another RP is pretty cool. I actually might try to get out of my comfort zone and be an antagonist, if possible.

Well the Vorago RP was good and I figured that it would be nice and polite to invite you all as this RP is inspired by it. Would you like to join?

Exactly what characters we're allowed to be as in faction allegiance and so on... As well as a bit more detail on the plotline if possible.

Interested, yet wondering if could be on the side of the DB in this one since the character I have just made would not be of the kind to do the saving of someone.

@Aaxe, I would prefer if the DB assassins are not PCs but if there is enough interest in that then the RP could get "reversed" and it instead could be about hunting a target of the DB. Also, @Isilmo, the plot line is basically just running away from the DB and not getting killed. Any faction could be used (as long as you mean AD, EP, and/or DC) and pretty much any character could be used.
