Daggerfall Covenant (Breton)
These are some features that I would like to see. This thread is more about UI, menu, miscellaneous type features.

What I would like to see:

Keybindings/Controls

* Fully customizable key bindings

* Strafing - This is a definite must. For those you who do not know what strafing is, it its moving from side to side.

UI

* Name above head - option to have to name displayed above your character's head as well as other players. Also your guilds name will be displayed underneath your name, If you choose not to display your name that does not mean that people who have the option turned on will not be allowed to see it.

* Name colors -

Players of same alliance - Bright green
NPC's of same alliance - Darker green
Party/group members - Blue
Guild members - Gold
Enemy players - Bright red
Enemy npc's - Darker red

Miscellaneous

* Dungeon Finder - a key feature for finding a group quickly for dungeons/raids
http://www.swtor.com/blog/guide-group-finder
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=91EPw9TOKSk

* In-game Calendar - allows you to set reminders/schedule dates and such for yourself. Also it would list any upcoming TESO in-game holidays and such. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OqxrMPr0omQ

* Player to Player Trading - allow you to trade with another player by opening a trade window.

* Auction House (an AH is confirmed) - sell, auction, and buy items. Also the ability to instant sell items to people who have placed orders for an item similar to GW2. Also you have to visit an auction house in order to sell, auction, buy. So you won't be able to use an an auction house to by merely opening a window. This should keep your immersion intact for all you RPers.

* In-game Mail - allow you to send mail(items, gold) to another player by visiting a mail box.

Guild Features

* Guild Calendar - Guild leaders and officers can schedule guild events and send invitations. Players can specify whether or not they will be going.

* Guild progression/leveling - allows you to level your guild. Gain exp for your guild by completing quests, guild dungeon/raid runs & boss kills, capturing objectives in cyrodiil in a guild group, player kills in cyrodiil while in a guild group. Each level gained unlocks a perk. It would be very similar to WoWs guild perks.
http://www.wowwiki.com/Guild_perks

* Guild logo - with wide variety of symbols and such to choose from.

* Guild tabards - with customization of colors and designs

* Guild warhorse mount - a guild mount that displays colors and logo. Also with customization of colors and logo size/placement. unlock-able when your guild reaches a certain level
Something like this
[Image: mount_10072_3.jpg]

Also have your guild banner/flag displayed on the guild warhorse mount

I would like to see player-designed&submitted guild emblems & colors for, as you say, herald banners, shields & horse cladding. If not designed by players, then a really extensive multi-options of emblem shape, border colors, background design & foreground figures - so that there would be virtually no repeats of guild emblems and each guild will stand out immediately by sight.

TESO - - Multiplayer: "M'aiq does not know this word. You wish others to help you in your quest? Coward! If you must, search for the Argonian Im-Leet, or perhaps the big Nord, Rolf the Uber. They will certainly wish to join you." M'aiq the Liar.

"Va Khaj Dar - Khajiity's united? M'aiq will join!" M'aiq the Liar

jeezuz where to start, tbh with me the less UI the better, when i play a game i want to become that character so minimaps, hotbars and pop ups are things i dislike and break immersion. saying that an MMO like eso seems to be having no UI will be terrible. as long as they dont go overboard and i can hide what is not needed i'll be very happy indeed.

i agree with you on the name colours, games that don't do it become pretty confusing
guild customisation is a must and showing everyone that you are a part of guild 'X' by just being looked at i feel is important.

pretty misleading title though, In-Game features! (but not gameplay or content) still UI is Very important and needs to be discussed and i do hope that eso does have most of the features you have suggested

I like most of these, even though I dont think we'll see some of them (ie. guild mount banners). In-game mail and plyr to plyr trading are a must, but I think will have to be limited to within your faction obviously. Ive seen customizable guild logos and tabards done and they work well. The calenders (both game and guild) are very good idea.

I would add the ability to look up individual guilds within the game for research etc. Its nice to be able to go check out that guild you just saw, and see what they're about, how big they are, that kind of thing.
I also hope there will be plenty of chat window customizability. I like to set up my own windows/channels, according to what char Im on and what Im doing atm. Its nice to be able to establish your own private/public chat channel.

FULLY CUSTOMIZABLE KEY BINDINGS! I can not stress this enough!!
I MUST be able to set ALL the Key bindings.. I am talking about movement keys, Hot Bar keys, Menu Shortcut keys, Attack Keys, Block Keys, Cast Keys, ANYTHING you press a key or button to do, I want to be able to assign what key or button to press to make it do it. And I want to be able to set anything to any key or mouse/joystick button. So I can set (for example) "Move Forward" to any key on the keyboard or even set it to the Left Mouse Button if I want to!! Don't worry about why I want to use my left mouse button to move forward or what button I will use to attack, LET ME SET IT FOR ME! DON'T Limit the options just because you wouldn't set it that way.. NO "DEFAULT ONLY" Key bindings for ANYTHING... After all it is the Individual End User that is using the key bindings, so it is about what works for the individual End User, and who Knows what Key Bindings work for me, better than ME? (NOBODY DOES)

Customizable UI. I am NOT talking about making your own UI Widgets or anything, I am talking about being able to put my mini map or compass where I want it on the screen, (or remove it completely).. and not just the mini map, the chat window and EVERYTHING on the UI needs to be movable and re-sizable by the individual player to suit the individual player... The ability to Re-size the individual UI components is important because I have found that on my larger monitor the UI is usually to small to read or see properly (or to find).. To large a UI for a small monitor takes up to much of the screen, to small of a UI for a large screen and you have to take your eyes off the action to find and clearly read the UI..

And the ability to change the UI "Skin"... by that I am talking about the color, style etc of the UI (again, I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT ADDING WIDGETS OR ANYTHING ELSE. I am talking about only changing the look, color, shape or design of the existing UI).. maybe I want roman pillars for borders, maybe I don't want any borders at all.. maybe I see my UI better when it has a red hue or maybe I like my UI with a Blue Hue... etc...

Oh, and Color Coded Overhead Names with Guild Names and NPC Titles (if the user checks the box to see this stuff) IS SOOOO Helpful on the games that have it... and SOOO Frustrating when games Don't have it... Actually I like all of what Artarius Aetius suggested.

I WANT TO SEE MY WEAPONS ON 1st Person View!!!!!! they don't have to take up a lot of the screen, but just the bottom 2% - 5% showing the Shield, with animation to show I am blocking.. and just the Tip of my weapon(s) and an animation to show I am drawing back or swinging.... its nice to know if I have my weapons drawn, what weapons I have in my hands at a glance, and to see my actions.... just saying... Did they take the weapons out of the 3rd person view?? I doubt it....

I am Dyslexic! Please don't flame my posts because I can't spell or have poor grammer. Being a Spell Check Troll or a Grammer Nazi takes away from the topic, and makes you look petty. Just because I can't spell does NOT make me stupid or my point less valid.

It's been a LONG time since I invested a lot of time in an MMO so I dunno if this is pretty standard already, but I'd like to see a Guild Chat option in game so we can communicate regardless of distance without having to use skype or something.
If this is already a guaranteed thing, please tell me.

from one interview i think the hot bar will be mainluy focused on it being hidden cause they want you to be immersed and it will just be based on hotkeying which I mean I like and will work for me just fine. but everyone is saying pretty much everything I would suggest so lol just wanted to say good job.

Yes guild chat is in. Guild chat is a standard feature in mmos.

From what I heard and seen I believe you'll have the option have it visible or hidden. I would personally have it visible at all times.

Upon release I would like a feature for the game to be as different from WoW as possible..
Pretty much most of what I am seeing here is people wanting/expecting features from WoW.

Some things seem kind of obvious, like guild chat.

Personally the only thing I want the game to feature is Quality.

If we take a look at WoW, guild the format is pretty simple. You can see who is online, calender and basic stuff. I would really much like to see a improvments and additions to this.
Like:
Voicecom(From EVE online, however it is not a MUST)
Ingame Forums and Discussion boards(Would be really nice and maybe make the browser based aswell, so you dont need to be online to discuss the situation):

not sure on ingame forums but VOIP would be amazing.
well actually mandatory. Vent is gonna be used regardless but for random groups having ingame VOIP is a HUGE plus.

VOIP support. Both local & group / leader(s) order channel. Similar to Planetside 2. Nothing more amusing than to taunt your enemy in voice chat and he responds. The most epic fight I've had was a knife fight (both out of ammo) and we literally fought in a building for 3 minutes laughing at VOIP.
