Faction & Race:
Ebonheart Pact
Argonian
Race - Khajiit

Name - Jo'Rakha (No first or last)

Sex - Male

Age - 28.

Occupation - Healer, Mage

Faction - Aldmeri Dominion, Mages Guild.

Appearance - Light brown coat, no really special markings on him. He particularly looks like a less furry Liger. His eyes are green, but strangely shift to blue occasionally, especially after a big magical episode. He always walks around with his staff, one tip with a shining blue crystal, the bottom with ebony, the middle is adorned with engravings of small claws. He almost always has a gentle smile and open eyes, looking kind and accepting.

Personality - To his friends he is kind, and loyal. If he sees that they are hurt, he will try to heal them to ensure their survival. Sometimes they say he is so willing to help others, that he forgets himself sometimes. To his foes, he attacks them with his Destruction spells. He treats them with scorn, and most find it strange that a kind Khajiit would have such stinging comments. To others, he is pretty much like a friend, though won't sacrifice himself for random strangers. He can treat others like children (as in, patronizing) while giving a speech about magic, which can be annoying.

Social Background/Backstory - At first, not much was expected of Jo'Rakha (Known then as Ma'Rakha, as he was a child). He was expected to at least take over his parents merchant business, find a house, and live happily. His mother looked like a Tiger, but was thin and caring. His father looked more like a Lion/black Panther mix, which looked threatening yet majestic and kind. At a very young age, he showed the ability to levitate slightly, and that proved he was destined to be different then most other Khajiit. His mother sang songs to him at night, while he lay sleeping, in the native language Ta'agra. He never really knew the lyrics, as he was too young, but she seemed to be respectful of them. Eventually he learned of magic, and tested out a spell that he learned in the library. Healing Hands. He healed a small, young mongoose that was fighting a rattlesnake, and felt revitalized as well. He was a Healer, and now he knew. He told his parents this, but they didn't react the way he expected, as he did not expect sadness and sorrow. He grew up to being a teen, and his father often worked on a staff of his. Shortly after, his father died of Knahaten Flu, but on his deathbed gave Jo'Rakha his staff. His mother was distraught, but Jo'Rakha seemed to take it the worst. He could not use his healing powers to have helped his own father. He, with the permission of his mother, set out to the Mages College in Cyrodiil, the one in Anvil, and did most of his studying there. Before he left, however, she told him that some in his family are like him, feeling pain of others and having the urge, and power, to help them. Both of his parents had that power, which is why she and him were sad that Jo'Rakha needs to also go through with it, but she also feels proud of her son. Now with the war starting, he locked himself in a room of his, only coming out to work at temples to treat the wounded. He talks of trying to learn how to cure diseases with spells, even the supposedly uncureable Vampirism and Lycanthropy. He is acquainted with Lurks-In-Shadows, having met in situations unknown, but even though he disagrees with his illegal route, he is still a friend to him.

Best Memory - Learning his first healing spell, and healing a mongoose fighting a snake, saving the mongoose and allowing it to flee, as well as letting the snake survive the ordeal.

Worst Memory - Losing his father to the Knahaten Flu, being unable to use his new-found healing powers to save him. Feeling like a failure to those he loves.

Skills - Particularly Restoration and Alteration, with Destruction, and some Illusion (To make the patients feel calm pre-healing). Vampirism is a nice asset too.

Challenges for the Character - Trying to keep all things around him (aside from his enemies) alive, though it is sometimes beyond his power. Trying to find a cure for the supposedly uncurable diseases, such as Lycanthropy and Vamprism (I know there ARE cures, but I mean cures in spells or potions, not complex rituals or a secret way).

Birthsign - The Mage.

Religious Views - Not very religious. He respects the Divines, and even the Daedra with all their power,

Politics Views - More wars make more soldiers to heal... which makes his job harder, but more profitable and fulfilling.

i like it, and with the cures for the dreaded vamprism and of course Lycanthropy i think at the time period ESO is set there might not be a cure yet (apart from like you said) and anyone who might know the cure will be few and far between.
i liked the conflicted your character faced not being able to heal his father. internal struggles like that i find appealing.
i would like to know more about this character and i have made a thread a while back. its just full of 'what if' questions and you would answer them how you think your character would tackle the situation. i hope it helps in giving your character even more depth :)

You've certainly put a lot of work into Jo'Rakha. The part that despite his healing powers, he could not save his father, is certainly good for building the character and motivating him as a healer!

Two minor things you may want to look into though...

The word hospital might be too modern of a word, I can't say for sure if the term would be used in Tamriel. An alternate way you could state it is, "...only coming out to work as a healer..." This is just for world consistency purposes of course!

It also seems strange that he is a Priest, but not very religious and only a slight follower of Arkay. Perhaps you could explain that more on that?

He's a solid character though! I'll look forward to seeing him in action.

Thanks for the help :D
I didn't even notice I put hospital o.O, it must have been my subconcious, XD. I'll fix it.
And... I guess he's not really a priest. More of just the average, skilled healer. He relies on his own power over magic to heal others, instead of following the gods, though he does acknowledge and respect the divines (of course). Again, I'll fix.
Thanks :)
