Backstory: I was born on a dreary day in Necrom. If you have been to morrowind and been up the East coast you may have seen it. The religious importance of this place predates the Tribunal whom my people prize so highly now as their lords and gods. The city is beautiful and terrifying and to this day I love it and miss it. There is no sight like the night sky hanging above with the stars and moon shining down upon the beautiful processions. They bring family to rest here in the towers in peace. The beautiful white necropilis it is so astounding. Do I sound in love with my home? Well in a way I am my youth was a good one. It was a life I miss and one that I still regret losing. The causeway was constantly occupied by the flow of bodies and those that mourn the loss. Soon they rest in the catacombs in the rock beneath the city and in the towers with the priest preforming rituals day and night in endless succession putting the dunmeri who have fallen to rest. The irony is how this "The City of the Dead" teems with life. The hierarchy I was cast into was complicated, dutiful and honorable. All attendants and priest did their job. I because of my father's position in House Indoril was taught much and treated with immense respect. My father was a well respected spell sword and hero in the house and my mother was viewed as a wise women who gave counsel equal to if not better than many others. I was the prized child seemingly from a young age I showed the propensity for my mother's understanding and my father's combat prowess. This combination would prove to be my down fall. I am ahead of myself though. In my first years I excelled at the training. Mysticism, Illusion, and most of all Destruction became the schools I was shown to have an affinity for. In other schools I had little and in some no talent at all even sometimes being completely unable to cast the spells. I admired the priest and was proud of my home and dutiful in my training. I inherited many things from my mother and father. The one thing I had not inherited and would have to later learn harshly was patience, control, and most of all how to regulate my emotions and prevent them from influencing my magic. I try to forget what happened, but a young altmer one who would become my best friend in time was brought in to necrom. He was a prospective Psijic. Mórtas Eagala ah I still remember him entering like it was yesterday if only I knew how he would change my life. He was confident and a little older than me, but he had a stride that matched someone of my father's caliber I was at a loss. So young, but it seem deserved and I had been told of those gray robes so maybe he was worthy of this air about him. The priest did give him much respect, but seemed fonder of me. They never spoke to the men who escorted him they nodded to them and welcomed him for his study period of the dunmeri people and their culture. Over the next few months we studied together he far excelled any ability I had in magic excluding destruction in which we were equal. He had a photographic memory one time was enough for him to learn anything. The priest grew gradually concerned with him for he would seem to disappear from his room at night and go into halls exploring place that usually they forbid we go alone. Eventually every night I was joining him at that time the priest after awhile decided it was time I preform a burial rite on my own. Mórtas was to observe and he did though it seems in our intrepid night adventures we had stirred a few unwanted dwellers of the catacombs. As we preformed a rite the man sprung up and attacked the priest in a panic I incinerated him letting my emotion over whelm me I let the fire flow from my hands. Down the hall it cascaded killing the vampire and the necromancer who had called him yet I had destroyed many bodies. This was not forgivable if the altmer had never come I thought, but in the end it was he who calmed me down with a slide of his hand I was at ease and my magic could not flow. I looked at him distraught and I could see he knew I would be sent away. We were great friends even if in some way I blamed him. All he said is "Kaaos where life may take you in the end it will take me there and I will never let the tides of any push us apart.". I nodded. It was decided by my father and others that I was unpredictable and must be trained in something other than magic and knowledge of cultures particularly the dwemer. It was decided I should be taught survival, ways of the sword, tracking, and first aid. I was to learn discipline as a soldier. I quickly excelled many in House Indoril were glad to train me though being outside Necrom in the smaller towns felt odd. Always moving was not easy on me life felt inconsistent and like it was all temporary. War came to the north and I was sent off. Though Mórtas had left back to summerset he occasionally visited and always stayed in touch. He made sure my life was ok and that I knew I would succeed and only be better for whatever it is that I was learning. He was a voice of reason that told me "All righteous paths will lead to the peak of the mountain in the end the only waste is circling wondering who's path is right or telling others their path is wrong.". When he heard I was being sent to war he came immediately. The psijics were not pleased with this and though I did not yet know it, this was the last staw that put Mórtas out of the order. He had done things while away they see as blasphemous to the old ways. "Chang is inevitable. Indeed, it is sacred." is what they are taught to and told to believe, Mórtas had broken this creed many times trying to make the course follow his path including in the case of my life. The would guide and counsel, but to interfere or get involved directly was against their way. I had been on battle fields for a few months when he showed up. We were losing men everyday and I did what I could with what I learned, but the battlefield taught me more lessons than anything else in life. I know see why the causeway of necrom always flows with bodies I would think. I was beaten and broken and friends I had made were now dead or maimed in a way they would never recover from fully. There Mórtas was with a smile and his hand extended to me "Get up." he said. I replied "We have lost and I have shamed my house." I looked around at the carnage our beaten outpost scorched and broken was all that was left. I said "I was a leader these men depended on me and I failed them. I failed my father Mórtas.". He looked at me with sympathy and a smile. He pulled me up and said "Kaaos today you have lost and in these months maybe you have failed someone, but in the end maybe this is what is meant to happen. We can change the world Kaaos my order does not understand the power and how it can be used on the world. It is ours if we want it. We can fix it." I was shocked he said this with such serious demeanor and confidence. I did not know what to make of it he meant it and some of it sounded good, but my old friend sounded far to ambitious. I seperated myself from him and returned home. When I returned alive and with such great losses behind me my house and my father especially had trouble accepting what was in front of them. I became isolated and lost haunted by all I had lost and seen. Even Mórtas was no longer there and I had lost track since our last meeting he just vanished and no longer did he try to contact or counsel me he was gone it seemed. After time I went to more battles, whether they been internal or house disputes no respect or honor was gained back from my victories. Years passed and eventually it all came to a boil my father confronted me he called me a deserter a failure and a traitor. I was enraged by his worlds the old mans audacity. He struck me for I would not respond. I do not remember the rest, but when I awoke my mother and siblings were crying and my House Indoril status revoked for I was covered in the blood of one of the most respected members and he was my father. There he lie dead destroyed a body barely even left after whatever I had done...I was a monster. That is why I travel that is why I have a mark to symbolize my crime and someday maybe I can return and show them I am better. That was all many years ago and many other things have happened. I am not the man I was that day. I will always wish that I could have stopped, but maybe I just was not meant to live that life.
I am Kaaos Menestys formely of House Indoril. My name and my mark are known to many and someday I will have a family. Someday I will have honor, glory, and loyalty surrounding me. Someday these these things will not be a curse my adopted name is Athas it means hope and now that is all I have.

He was taught a lot about their culture in his youth. He even got to explore and learn about their language and ruins from priest and other scholars.

They're backstory isnt gonna be up, but the rest of the stuff is. Dunno where I should go with the story, but I know where they'll end up, which is a start XD. Just workin' backwards I guess.

Ohoho, if anyone crosses Lurks, they'll be suffering before they could spend a single septim!

Well that is sometimes a good thing to work backwards sometimes when you know the destination its easier to make the journey fit the path if that makes sense. All three of the characters I have planned are in some way connected to be honest. That makes it a little easier though I have not mentioned the third one or used him yet heh. Yea I assume as much. I enjoy that everyone liked kaaos and so far in the ruin everyone is like wtf is wrong with this guy for my other character. Can't wait till I am done with his bio cause honestly It won't help his case probably lol
Kaaos one of his major flaws is revenge and not letting go of the past so people who do wrong by him well lets just say after the cave rp mini story will be kaaos going on a one man killing spree of vampires associated with that order lol.

awesome character, huge bio but i read it all. every word!
one thing, though i will double check, i don't think someone from the house indoril would openly worship a deadric prince! have you seen what ordinators do to deadric worshippers!
worshipping azura even though you shouldn't would be a good story telling aspects and i do love the other conflicts your character is going through and more importantly the conflicts he is going to face!
very good character

The azura worship did not start until a little later in his life so yea that is what fixes the conflict. It is partially something I am working on but I was going to type some more stories for this guy that take place after his departure from the house that would include his discovery of worship outside the tribunal. Like he or I says in the bio he was never feverent which was always a problem. Thank you so much I worked on it a lot I kind of got worried it was to long but I really really like depth. Yea I wanted since I saw him as powerful to have a lot of baggage and conflicts.

i can tell you have taking so much time on this character when we role play haha and to be honest he may be powerful but some characters i have seen on this take that 'power' to new heights it becomes silly.
the reasons i see why planning conflicts is important is because you and the reader (in this case me) can get a hint of what your character becomes.
i haven't written down on my bio the future challenges my character will face so better write that down now :)

haha yea I do agree its why I am considering backing out of the cave honestly. I mean I do make characters like kaaos who may be powerful, but the truth is so far people have already seen him using that power can literally kill him. I try to balance with emotional instability, or physical danger. There are other ways to balance such as people who have ethics not to use it unless against certain opponents but still yea a few instances have basically seemed like well just yea they must be impossible to kill but honestly in elder scrolls no one is impossible to kill not even a god. So yep thanks though and I really enjoy quib. I do still have to get my two other characters up and running with bios but Kaaos is a character I have had in mind for a while. I like balancing acts though it make the character deep. Plus I mean in a way all our characters will be bad ass or are suppose to become bad ass because well they are our characters whether in D&D or Elder Scrolls or anything fantasy your characters you create are always fucking different and special.
