Please note any Veiled Heritance knowledge is strictly OOC, unless you are involved directly and know IC. This has now officially taken place of what I had here previously for the EU server . Feedback for the new profile is very much welcomed.

General Information

>Race

Altmer

>Class

Sorcerer (OOC)

>Age

51

>Birthsign

The Lady – Hearth Fire.

>Place of birth

Mathiisen, Auridon - A small town south of Skywatch, best known for its forge which produces some of the best weapons and armour on the Summerset Isles. Rumours travel the isle that Mathiisen is also one of the more harsh places to live if not an Altmer, for their views are that of the traditional Altmeri supremecy.

>Place of residence

Veiled manse south of Skywatch (Valano's manor) - where she more often resides and the headquarters of the Veiled Legacy.
Shattered Grove, Auridon (Iranye's house) - where she sees to her apothecary and healing business, however she rarely now resides here.

>Profession
Member of the Veiled Council
Assistant to Thalmor Archon Sarinteal Ralleidril
Apprentice healer and apothecarist.

>Hobbies

Reading tomes of knowledge and fictional books, exploring the forests and ruins of Auridon and searching for herbs and flowers for her shop, creating and experimenting with potions, raising Morwinyon, furthering the cause of the Veiled Legacy.

>Titles

"Miss Faer'veren".

>Social standing within the Altmeri community

Kaetlyn Faer'veren's business as an apothecarist and healer has been blossoming since her re-appearance into society. She receives several customers, although it could be suspected there is a deeper layer, as it is certain she does not receive enough business to maintain herself financially. How else does this Mer support herself..?

Kaetlyn Faer'veren is a modest and humble Altmer - as much as they can be, at least. She may be known on the Summerset Isles for her healing talents and apothecary services, however she has been mostly isolated the last two-three years and thus perhaps her name is no longer familiar to the pointed ears of the residing Altmer.

Some however may recall she was involved with a scandal when it appeared the infant she had laboured long to bring into the world, was not in fact of the same blood as who she had been intended to wed. Her former betrothed fair haired and fiery-eyed, and she herself is blonde and golden in colouring; the child was born with curls of dark hair and piercing, emerald eyes.

Cyrandion Faer'veren, Kaetlyn's father, is a retired, respected Captain of a small unit of High Elves that served for many years as part of an Auridon garrison. He was severely wounded many years ago but it is only rumoured of how serious his injuries are and how he sustained them, retiring from any form of combat thereafter with little notice. He is very old.

Alnimril Faer'veren, Kaetlyn's mother, is less accomplished and spent her younger days as an alchemist of moderate talent. Also old.

>Religion

Vocal of her worship to Auri-El, otherwise unknown.

>Alignment

Covertly: The Veiled Heritance
Overtly: The glory of the Altmeri people; she rarely speaks of the Dominion itself, but when she does it is with a passive expression and a tongue that has since learnt the eloquent art of lying.

>Loyalties

Isirion Ilvanesta, Morwinyon, the legacy of the Veiled Queen, the Altmeri people.

Appearance and physique

>Aesthetics

This Altmer of youthful beauty is often clad in fine dresses and robes of natural colours. Her long hair is fine and blonde, often pinned to her head in an Elven knot; yet unruly wisps of sun-kissed hair will not always be so well confined and fall and tumble to frame her exquisitely pointed face.

She decorates her golden-skinned features with natural coloured make up, paints her thin, shapely lips with a shade of delicate rose and her high, sharp cheekbones are accentuated further with blush-powder. Within her large, angular eyes is a golden radiance and a thirst for knowledge, a warmth and compassion and a longing to bring enlightenment to her fellow Altmer.

>Build

Kaetlyn is a tall and slender High Elf although her curves are nothing too significant, childbirth has since offered her a little more of a flattering and womanly body shape. She retains her femininity with the graceful bearing of her people. Her hips sway with a touch of sensuality as she walks that is pleasing to the eye.

>Trinkets and jewellery

Rarely seen without a decorate headpiece or earrings that appear too intricate and embellished for her status to afford, otherwise she wears little jewellery.

>In their bag:

Most noticeable is that a bag is never at first apparent to be on her person; yet when needed one can be seen attached to her hip and there have been times when onlookers have been bewildered when she pulls out a thick tome or some other such object either too large or too awkward to carry.

Within the bag is usually: a leather pouch containing a few small vials of healing salves, herbs and flowers (crushed and uncrushed), scrolls of some sorts, parchments, a quill and sealed ink pot, cuts of linen cloth akin to bandages and probably a few books/tomes.

>Other details

Beneath modest cloth wrapped around golden skin are Elven markings, whether painted, tattooed or natural is unknown unless closely inspected; her entire body from neck downward is covered in these markings, a shade lighter than that of her skin and so if sunlight were ever to catch it her skin might appear to be shimmering.

Often, a small child is seen walking at her side. The child cannot be more than three years of age, yet there is a deep and mystical understanding in his large, wide emerald eyes. His hair is dark and shoulder-length, a few ringlets curling just by his jaw. He is often clad in tiny robes to fit his child-like frame, that still appear too extravagant for such an age yet he wears them well but he may be seen tripping over them at times.

The Character

>Personality

Kaetlyn Faer'veren is an Altmer that possesses the insatiable curiosity of youth and the sharp intelligence of her people. A complex and deeply layered individual, her true intent and opinions shielded by carefully chosen words spoken with an eloquent and sophisticated tone, her voice mellifluous and light. Like most Altmer, her face is somewhat of a facade, often an expression of mild disdain apparent when she visits the populated towns of Auridon. Though lacking in years, her manners are well practiced and her elegant movements disciplined. However, something softer can be seen beneath her guarded caution by those who are keenly observant; betraying that which she attempts to portray and occasionally falling prey to inconsistency.

Friends and family would have the privilege of witnessing that beneath the passive exterior she is a placid and gentle natured Mer. She radiates a compassionate warmth to all she deems worthy of her time - particularly her own kin. Her tender heart is guarded well, these days, reserved only for her family and those closest to her. She is attentive and kind to Altmer she considers herself blessed to know, perhaps even she could be thought of as tender and affectionate. Kaetlyn surrounds herself with flowers and herbs with healing properties, tomes of magical knowledge, Altmer of 'true' bearing and her family.

When observed for a longer amount of time, one may take note of the fact that her every move carries an undertone of allure; whether this is intentional or not on her behalf is difficult to discern prior to further interaction. One might have few doubts that any satisfaction Kaetlyn may earn from her personal appeal has much less to do with the carnal rather than the outwitting of those otherwise blinded by enticement.

>Talents and weaknesses

Kaetlyn is a healer, her 'talents' being those of the restoration skill. She also has some knowledge in alchemy and the use of herbs for healing and 'other' purposes and even has a small establishment in Shattered Grove for customers to buy herbs or potions from her, or if they require healing and respite.

She is fiercely protective of the child that is nearly always seen with her, and this can give way to some possessive behaviour.

To be updated.

>Motivations

To restore the Veiled Heritance to it's true legacy and see an end to the child-queen that sits on the Altmeri throne, and to keep her young child safe from the harm that she views the Dominion will bring.

Friendly? OK, here it goes...

Very nice, and very different. I like it.

You've really gone into detail, with the items she carries reflecting her personality and demeanor. Her healing abilities set her out as different from most other bios here, since they are nearly all designed for combat. This character would be a welcome break from that in an RP.

Are there any stories or RPs that involve her? I'd imagine they would be quite interesting to read.

One thing I would ask is: what are her motivations for traveling? I mean, a search for knowledge is one thing, but that could be found in the great libraries in the Summerset Isles without endangering herself. Perhaps she has a curiousity for more than just knowledge, but also experiences? I don't know honestly; that was the best I could come up with on the spot.

Also, speaking as the child of an overenthusiastic psychologist, people who put others first tend to have a stockpile of emotions building up. This is- speaking on a non-scientific point here- because they're keeping it in, not seeing it as useful to helping others. Perhaps Kaetlyn could have the same issue. There's usually a single point which makes them flip, so there must be something close to her which she feels strongly about. If this is put in danger, she becomes filled with rage. Again, up to you. I just like the idea of 'Beware the nice ones...'

Thank you for the very kind reply! Kaetlyn was my main from World of Warcraft years ago, although very much refined as a character now for ESO and I feel very comfortable playing her, although it has been quite a while - this time around I went a few years back that I never played on WoW in her apprentice years.

I do have stories and roleplays with Kaetlyn, but not the ESO version of Kaetlyn (WoW or Guild Wars 2 related) but the character concept is very similar with her, but at different stages in her life with certain developments, etc. I would be more than happy to share, if you wish! On the roleplay note, I am looking to start some forum/personal (mails/skype etc) roleplay so anyone on Aldmeri Dominion or that might be happening to wander Auridon at the time I would be delighted to interact with!

Her motivations for travelling, which I did not specify at all in the character sheet as it is still sort of a work in progress is her interest in alchemy and herbs, picking flowers etc so she is often wandering the forests of Auridon or the Summerset Isles with her nose in the grass - so to speak! She has not yet left the Summerset Isles, and with the war now raging she does not have any true reason (her experience as a healer is best for domesticated purposes for now, in her eyes - she is not very brave) to leave her comfortable homeland!

With your last paragraph you were very, very much spot on with her - but I will say no more on that! Some things are best left to be discovered IC!

Well done, I like the originality of her being a healer and the air of mystery you're keeping about her that you mentioned in your last post.

One quick note though: the Altmer generally don't worship the same pantheon the humans do (the eight divines). This should give you all the necessary info about the Altmeri pantheon if you like (specifically under "society and religion").

I also like how you added some info about her family as a whole, most people will only give a quarter or so of a sentence about the family of their character and this is a nice change.

Argh right, I am a little uncertain with Altmer lore and religion is something I am really uncertain about! Is the Pantheon and the Eight Divines different? I've used that website before but it still hasn't cleared anything up. I want to elaborate on her religious beliefs but until I know for certain I shall not write it up - but I would very much like to learn because I have always had it that Kaetlyn is devoutly religious.

Thank you for the family comment, too. I actually struggle to come up with a character with so much depth without giving thought to her family, and her family (father specifically) will give way to some development in future story plots and roleplay!

There are some differences in the pantheon but some of the deities, in a way, are the same.

For example the Altmer worship Auriel whereas the humans worship Akatosh. Same deity, different name and a different "backstory" to fit Altmer culture.

The pantheon, that I know of, that the Altmer worship are Magnus, Auriel, Trinimac (which I'm not entirely sure of, given the whole Trinimac-Malacath thing), Y'ffre, Syrabane, and Phynaster though I'd imagine there's more. Those are just the ones I can find fairly easily.

Thank you, Took an arrow in the knee, but I finally have my religious understanding with many thanks to the delightful and all knowledgeable Isilmo.

Still looking for feedback and constructive criticism for my character sheet (yet to update it)!

Also, for those interested to roleplay with an Altmer... http://www.tesof.com/topic-an-invitation...i-dominion

Hello and apologies for not replying sooner, I was inactive from the site! I did not do the artwork, a friend did and he does not take commissions unfortunately.

Updated and edited to suit the NA megaserver version of Kaetlyn.
