The Lions of High Rock was founded in the end of the First Era by a wandering Breton Warrior Monk known only as the Lion. He picked that name due to his heritage, as it was his homeland's symbol. The Lion established an order of Knights dedicated to protecting the homeland of the Bretons, High Rock, safe from any threat the Daedra may pose upon it.

For many centuries our Order has stood strong, defending High Rock from the pressing and invading Daedra creatures. It is now well into the Second Era. The Imperial Empire has crumbled with the assassination of the Emperor. The Ruby Throne is now up for grabs and three alliances have formed. The People of High Rock and Hammerfell (Bretons, Orcs, Redguard) have established their alliance between nations and have named it the Daggerfall Covenant.

The Lions of High Rock has been sought out by members of the Covenant to join in on the war effort, to defeat her enemies and ensure peace and security for the peoples of the Daggerfall Covenant.

>>>>Ranks and Structure<<<<

The Lions of High Rock are an order of Knights and thus our ranking system reflects upon that. Below is how the guild works top to bottom, what each rank means, and/or its responsibilities.

Grandmaster: (Agendor)
The head of the Order and Supreme Commander of the military forces. The Grandmaster is in charge of the guild as a whole. Working with the Officers to maintain the guild and keep things running smoothly.

Knight Commander:
The Officers of the Order. The Commanders lead our troops in the battlefield, as well as assist in maintaining order within the guild. They will enforce the rules, and code of conduct at all times. The Officers will be held to the standard of an Officer, respecting the rules and code of conduct at all times as well as setting the example to our other members.

Among the Officers are the Council members. These are the ones who run the guild through making and enforcing policies as well as assisting in creating guild content. There are five Council seats including the Grandmaster. The Council still holds the rank of Knight Commander but will bear a title along with it.

Grand Seneschal (Edwistyr): (Second in charge.)
The Grand Senechal will assist the Grandmaster with all guild affairs.

Grand Marshall (Vacant): (Third in charge.)
The Grand Marshall is the war chief/council to the Grandmaster. They will be in charge of [maintaining a strong PvP pressence within Cyrodiil as well as planning PvP events/battleplans. They will work with the Grand Senechal with recruitment as well as setting up guild meetings.

Grand Chronicler (Vacant): (Fourth in charge.)
The Grand Chonicler makes sure that the guild follows the already established The Elder Scrolls lore as well as maintaing the integrity of the Roleplay within the guild. They will work with the Grand Senechal with developing the guild storyline (Outside of Cyrodiil).

Grand Treasurer (Vacant): (Fifth in charge.)
The Grand Treasurer will work with the Grandmaster and Grand Senechal with maintaining the guild bank and guild store.

Knight:
The bulk of the guild. This represents actual Knighthood within the Order. Upon completion of an in-character knighting ceremony. The Knights of our Order are expected to uphold the very core values of what makes up our Order: Honor, Justice, Chivalry. As with all members of the guild they are also expected to follow the rules and code of conduct.

Squire:
The entry rank within the guild. Not a full fledged Knight yet within the Order. May be taken as an apprentice to a Knight if desired, however the promotion to Knight will depend on activity and participation levels within the guild. As with all members they are to follow the rules and code of conduct.
Our Order has a few rules that need to be respected and observed at all times:

1.) No Out Of Character Drama (In-game or out-of-game) Violators of this rule will receive one warning, if it is broken again it is removal from the guild.

2.) Members must be In Character at all times when Roleplaying

3.) Members must treat one another with respect and observe the Golden Rule: "Do unto others as others unto you" (No harassment, racist remarks, derogatory comments, or offensive language in guild chat)

4.) We are a Roleplay Guild and we follow established Elder Scrolls Lore and we expect you to do so as well. (With that said if you need to brush up on your lore: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Main_Page All In Character actions warrant In Character responses)

5.) We are a mature guild, and only allow members who are 16 years of age or older. (Some exceptions can be made. Speak to a guild officer)

6.) Character name must be a Roleplay name. (Your name must be something that would be seen within Elderscrolls. Names cannot be L33t speak i.e. Anh1l4tor or De4th. Keep the name in realistic terms for roleplay. A name such as DeathGod would not be realistic.)

>>>>Code of Conduct<<<<

Out of Character Conduct

1) All members will treat each other with respect, regardless of any socio-economic status. This includes but is NOT limited to: race, sex, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, religion or political affiliation. Failure to do so will lead to a reprimand or immediate dismissal from the guild, depending on the severity of the incident.

2) Anything that is a sensitive matter (member conduct, major guild developments) should not be broadcasted outside the guild. We expect members to respect the guild's internal affairs.

3) RESPECT ALL OFFICERS AND THE GUILD LEADER. If they tell you to do something, it is purely for the benefit of yourself and the Guild. No Officer will make you do something unreasonable, and if they try to, bring it to the Guild Leader. The Guild Leader has an open door policy. If there are ANY issues, you can always talk to him.

a) Members have no need to fear repercussions from the officers for reporting code of conduct violations he/she observes. The leadership offers full immunity to any person who comes to them with reports of violations of our rules.

4) Leadership does not condone the unprovoked harassment or griefing of other players, friend or foe. All friends and allied partners/guilds will be treated in a cordial manner. Reasons for betrayal can be role-play in nature and/or for more literal reasons. This rule applies to diplomatic relationships only.

a) Griefing: In online gaming where one repeatedly killing the same individual or individuals over and over again, or camping their corpse to prevent them from retrieving it, or otherwise performing actions in a game to prevent the player from enjoying the game.

5) No bad-mouthing in the game. Lions of High Rock will not tolerate it's name being tarnished due to a bad experience. Our Raidcall channel and guild chat is for that.

In Character Conduct

1) Lions of High Rock does not allow the following:

Metagaming: The use of out-of-character knowledge in an in-character situation. A character played by a metagamer does not act in a way that reflects the character's in game experiances and back-story.

God Mode: There are two subtypes of godmoding. There is creation-relevant godmoding, where a character is given inflated statistic or has a lack of vulnerablity, and there is action-relevant godmoding, where a player writes his or her characters' actions in a way that is unrealistic or attempts to exert control over another player's character, also known as powerplay.

God Modding: Godmoding where a character's creation is dealt with. When a character is unbeatable, given that free-form roleplay allows for a lot more freedom in character creation, this has become a common problem. The problem with this behavior is that it spurs others to follow suit.

2) All character chat and actions must be said in /say and /emote respectively. The exception to this is when those role playing are in a group.

3) All out of character chatter must be with brackets when done in /say. Example: ((Haha you got pwned))
Our PvP Campaign is Volendrung. Our keep is Castle Brindle. All PvP events will be staged from Castle Brindle

(When The Daggerfall Covenant owns it)
