Before I get into this I would like to refer to a map of the 3 factions -

Basically - my concern is that while the game might be very large, that "largeness" is going to be completely centered towards EP. In that sense - they will probably scale the map differently faction to faction. If not that - they'll leave out a LOT of areas for EP at the launch of the game I imagine. My two questions to everyone else is if you think there will be different scalers for each faction's area & is it a bad thing if they do?

I believe the amount of playable area the factions have will be about the same. While EP might have a geographic advantage in terms of amount of land, much of it is quite inhospitable; I expect this harshness to manifest itself with less playable land.

this again? as rage has noted. the zones are of the same size. western skyrim, house telvanni and most of black marsh for example are *not* part of the pact.

What I'm afraid of is how small the world actually is. There's been a glance on a world map in one of the leaked footages and from what I've seen, the Daggerfall city occupies almost the enitre southern tip of the High Rok peninsula. Either the city is pretty huge, or the High Rock province is disappointingly tiny.

What suprises me is that we already have over 150 Hour gameplay for each faction.. just imagine them finishing the whole map.

If western skyrim ever gets added I wonder if there will be border quests and such. I notice how geographically the DC and the EP are the only ones with connected borders. Could make for interesting content.

On the second map shown, the true ESO map they've given us, EP actually appears to be the smallest landmass of the factions.

@ The Rogue Knight, I wouldn't worry about the world being small - they've said that Cyrodiil is bigger than all of Oblivion. Hopefully the faction areas will be in scale to that as well. Don't forget that only parts of Daggerfall are playable, so that may be why Wayrest appears to take up a large amount of Daggerfall area.

Playable areas in game will be comparable to sizes in previous TES games. That's what they have said (Don't ask for a link cause I'm not sifting through tons of videos, but its there lol trust me). Anyways, as far as playable areas go it will be big (otherwise exploration wouldn't be as emphasized) and in terms of balancing it will have to be equal. Its just gonna happen :)

Yeah, but High Rock is small, compared to other provinces. If Cyrodiil is of size comparable to its Oblivion version, than High Rock will end up being pretty tiny.
