Faction & Race:

Firstname - Melwyn.

Surname - Montrellion (abandoned his name - see backstory).

Titles - Melwyn the drunk, Melwyn the mercenary, Melwyn the fool, ser smiles, the bloody mummer, kinslayer, self proclaimed god of wine.

Sex - Male

Race - Half-Breton half-Redguard (calls himself a Bretguard or Bretonic Redguard).

Age - 33.

Occupation - Sellsword, pirate, sellsail, drunk, brigand.

Faction - Follows himself alone, or the highest bidder.

Appearance - Melwyn is a moderately tall man at roughly 6'2 and is gaunt with wolfish and somewhat handsome features. He has coarse dark hair done in a flow with a gruff stubble of a beard that covers most of his face below his cheekbones. His eyes are blue-grey in colour. When he's drunk (which is most of the time) he has a permanent smirk etched on his face and is usually grinning like an idiot and his face is generally very merry. When he's sober however, his smirk curls into deep frown that seems carved into his face and his expression is always grim and solemn with a dark look on his face and in his eyes.

Equipment - Melwyn prefers to wear a full suit of chain mail over top of green linen clothing with a black scale mail hauberk that covers his torso, thighs and biceps with a rough hide vest with steel studs and a pair of brown leather gloves with metal plates covering the joints and a pair of brown leather boots with metal plates covering the toes. On his belt he carries two wineskins with him at all times. One of which is more bottle shaped the other of which is larger and runs horizontally along his right abdomen (like the one you see on some fur armours in Skyrim). he arms himself with a Dunmeri scimitar (like the one seen in the Tribunal expansion for Morrowind) on his left hip with a golden woman for a pommel, a long dagger with a matching pommel on his right hip and a fine steel longsword (like the ones seen in Oblivion) strapped across his back so the hilt stick above his right shoulder.

Personality - Most of the time Melwyn is a merry drunken fool that has a tendency to boast and flirt shamelessly and will often act cocky, rude and often will offend quite a few, especially if they're bigger than him. When he's sober however, he can have drastic mood swings from being always angry, hateful and cruel to just being hateful and moping about to the occasional bout of madness. He likes to describe his odd bouts of sobriety as "a very tedious and dull affair". He is also something of a philosophical drunk, occasionally getting very deep. He also has very little regard for his own life and for honour and will fight to win, not for honour meaning he will often fight dirty. He also fights best when he's drunk because he claims to have nothing to lose whereas when he's sober he stands to lose his sobriety.

Social Background/Backstory - Melwyn was born to a troop of mummers located at the time in the area where the Hammerfell, High Rock and Skyrim borders all joined. As a boy he was schooled in the troop's craft and learned it well becoming a good actor, minstrel and jester. However he brought a lot of unwanted heat on the troop by getting drunk with thieves and insulting people when not mummering. Finally his family's tolerance for him reached its peak when he slept with a nobleman's daughter that was to marry another and the nobleman drove the troop out.

His parents decided that that was enough and so cast him out to fend for himself.

Melwyn was left entirely dumbfounded by this. His parents had always told him that family came first above all, yet now his family was abandoning him. His confusion turned to grief and his grief turned to rage and his rage turned to murder. He picked up a carving knife and went mad, killing the troop and his family.

He didn't realize what he had done until after he had done it. He went mad with grief and self-hate and sought out the only cure he knew. A bottle of wine.

He turned himself into a drunk and tried to drink himself to death multiple times. It became a habit of his to try and drink himself to death during his sobriety but he always passed out first. The worst part for him though wasn't the fact that he had killed his own family, it was the fact that he had somewhat enjoyed it while he was doing it. The thrill of ending a life allured him and so he became a mercenary so he could kill legally for the most part and tried to join the Dark Brotherhood once but quickly failed because he was a drunk.

He formed a mercenary company that he called the "Bloody Mummers" that also acted as brigands and pirates as well while between contracts.

He also left behind his family name because he deemed himself unworthy of it and instead uses several aliases instead.

He died at the age of 44 after opening a keg of wine and attempting to drink the whole keg all at once by placing a drinking horn that would serve as a funnel to his lips while pouring wine from the keg into the other opening. He literally drowned in wine but he died with a smile on his face.

Best Memory - Considers all his memories spent drunk to be good memories.

Worst Memory - Killing his own family.

Skills - Getting drunk, making people mad, causing distractions, swordsmanship, mummering.

Challenges for the Character - None that he can't drown in wine.

Birthsign - Coming soon.

Religious Views - Follows Sanguine.

Political Views - Doesn't follow politics, he just kills whoever he's paid to.

Other - Coming soon.

Quotes:

"Men like me don't deserve the mercy of death" - Melwyn during one of his more philosophical moments.

"I am the god of wine and women!" - Melwyn whilst thoroughly intoxicated with his bloody mummers.

"I will pluck out your eyes and use them to stopper my ears to muffle your screams as I head-butt you into a fine paste then spread you on bread" - Melwyn to the captain of the Sentinel city guard.

"Killing's the sweetest thing there is" - Melwyn to a Daggerfall jailer whilst imprisoned for competing in a drunken horse race through the city.

"I am your father!" - Melwyn to one of his illegitimate children whilst drinking at his mother's tavern.

Rumours:

Melwyn has a cousin in Daggerfall that wants his head for his crimes.

Melwyn once won a ship from a pirate in Stros M'Kai in a bet.

Melwyn once owned a great varla stone but threw it into the sea during a fowl mood.

This seems like a meshed up version of ASOIAF characters with some ES added to the mix... It is a nice combination.

Thank you and yeah I did put a bunch of ASOIAF stuff in there. I was on an RP forum for GoT for a few months so some stuff kind of stuck I guess.
