Mini-games in ESO?

I know many a player find mini-games a waste of time. However, for me tavern mini-games between real players was always a fun way to pass time while waiting for my friends to get online. Possibly win a little coin. Chat with some new people. I'm not a big RP-er, but as a rogue character, I'd imagine RPing in a tavern while kicking tail in dicing would be fun. Get some boasts out of the way.

I don't know what kind of games would "work" in an ES game. But I wouldn't mind seeing some gambling games. I feel that dicing games would fit into the lore well. There's dialogue and books that mention dicing in ES games. Sorry guys, no source, but I'm fairly positive.

Maybe some slight-of-hand games. Darts, knife throwing. Farcry 3 actually had decent mechanics for a knife throwing mini game. Against another real life player, could be quite the challenge. Heck, even have a leaderboard of high scores from the last 24 hours. (to be immersive, have the players names carved in a wood plank for the leaderboard, placed by the throwing area) Archery range could work too. Like a Fable-esq style range. Moving targets for added difficulty, and so players won't as easily memorize the exact way to get a bulls-eye. Play against a timer, or have limited arrows.

mmmm...what other games... I'm hesitant on cards. Doesn't seem true to lore. Maybe a hunting challenge? Suggestions and thoughts??

Sounds cool... Maybe arm wrestling, where the one who can tap a combo of buttons or whatever the fastest wins. :)

I'd fail at that, but the archery sounds good, hope they do do something like it.

Archery range would be cool , hunting too , get told what wildlife to hunt down and go off into the wild to track it down, could do that with a wanted type minigame where you track down and kill bandit NPC's too I guess xD

A game of darts at the pub? Haha. It depends on the game really. I don't mind solving puzzels in dungeons.

hah I don't even think that would have to be a mini-game, players would just do it.

Lore friendly ones mentioned above? Absolutely!

Farmville and pokemon? No, thank you very much!

I'd like to see a version of the brawler's guild from WoW in TESO. Or maybe a Gladiator Arena like in Oblivion. Maybe a public place where people can fight beasts or even each other. Maybe we could place bets, I dunno.

Dueling would be cool, but I dunno about betting, that would just end up in massive gold-farming.

Maybe limit the arena betting in the same way you would any other quest. Maybe each person gets a small(1-10 septims), medium(11-50 septims), and large(51-250 septim) bet per day. That way you couldn't use it as your sole means for making money, but it would add the benefit of getting to know the fighters so you can decide how you want to place your large wager. We're talking about mini-games here so it's just for fun. Maybe some just like to watch people die to beasts in the arena, some like to watch and bet, and some might like to participate in the arena.

Let's take it one step further and allow this to be the means in which we have our arena style fights from WoW. All sorts of possibilities. Instead of simply betting on a simple duel, allow us to bet on actual scuffles with members of an opposing faction. Even without the betting it would be cool to watch some 1v1 or 2v2 fights as they're happening. It's lore friendly. It promotes PvP. It falls under the mini-game(game within a game) rules.

Yeah, pretty much what @Rage said. Drinking games? Archery? Tests of finesse? Betting in an arena? Sure, why not?

Cards/slots/god-help-me-the-Zelda-Bomchu-game? Bleh. No.
