Appearance
Curls of crimson hair frame (Nord Pale) Breton features more elf the human, with thin features and almond shapes eyes and the slightest point to her ears hidden beneath her locks draping in a messy wave to her collar bone. Jade colored irises are often alight with warmth akin to her inviting personality.
Her build is more Breton, very slight and small that man mistake her for much younger, for she stands at only 5'2".
She dresses in simple tunic robes, but always with a cowl. Many recognize her as the Lady Literacy by two things. The necklace she wears, a simple string from which hangs a small bone and a few other things, and that she always carries a large bag full of tomes that looks as if it might fall apart at any moment.
She often carries a staff of twisted oak, serving little purpose but as a walking stick. She prefers a to use the ancient nord shortsword strapped at her hip to defend herself. Her feet are clad in simple stitched leather boots, worn from much walking. Her clothes are in a similar state of disarray.
Her bag is mostly filled with books, but also always contains ink pots, quills, a needle and thread, two furs, and various small things she may need on the road. Her bag is often very heavy, which explains her slow pace. It is a miracle she can even continue walking with it, but years of doing so have forced her to adjust. Needless to say she suffers from chronic backaches and migrains.
Personality
She is very open and friendly, though self concious and tends to avoid talking about herself. She outright refuses to speak of magic beyond a scholarly subject, even becomes angry and afraid when pressed.
She is easily distracted by books, and can obsess over them. She can become quite berating when it comes to the state of disrepair of a tome. She can be quite nuturing and motherly at times. Family and trust is very important to her.
Not only is she self concious but also somewhat seems to hate herself. She believes despite the name she has made for herself she is still an 'ugly creature' on the inside. Trauma has left her with deep emotional scarring.
She enjoys music and often visits the Bards college personally to hear them play, and wishes she was musically talented, but satisfies with listening instead.
Social Background/Backstory
Morgyna was born an unfortunate accident, a simple coincidence between a noble Breton man and a simple Altmer woman. Morgynas mother was unable to manage the simple funds to sustain ger own life let alone a childs, and knew that trying to convince the father would be to little avail. So she simply left the child with him and hid away, returning to her homeland.
Morgynas father had no interest in the child, and so she was handed off to an orphanage. At a young age the girl showed a quick aptitude for both magic and mayham, and was passed from family to family, until finally a teacher from the mages collage took her in.
The man was an Imperial, skilled in Conjuration and saw an opportunity to meld a true practitioner of the arts in her. However it was uncovered that he was actually a ractitioner of necromancy, a forbidden art, and was subsiquently banished. The arch mage permitted her to remain, as a proper student. However there were many times she felt the same call that beckoned her step father. The call of dark magic of forbidden.
She found herself drawn too deep, and when she fell deeply in love with her mentor, a Argonian, she was to discover it was a love unrequited. Upset she sought tomes and words of dark power to give her what she wished.
It was to be a simple run through the runes, or so her mentor had said. The two of them alone to study the ancient place. It was the perfect time to try her new spell. Yet instead of doing as she had wished, the spell threw her magicka out of control. She was forced to watch as her mentor burned before her eyes by her own spells.
When she was finally discovered she was unable to move, comatose yey wide awake due to the harsh magicka drain and possession the dark magic held on her spirit. It took months before ashe could move again, her pace sluggish and weak.
She was banished for her deeds, and ashamed she gave up magic for good, afraid to ever use it as her magic might become unstable or so she felt.
Instead she took to the sword, and the books, but there was always that lull at the back of her mind begging her to return to magic she once loved.

Challenges for the Character
*Her skills in magic are useless as she is terrified of magic. The only spell she uses generally is Mage Light but only if she is alone and desperate.
*She is also terrified of fire, deep bodies of water, heights, bees and horses...
*Painfully self concious
*Can't even stand talking about magic unless in a scholarly subject such as an analysis of the Origins of the Psiijic Order.
*Is distracted by and easily bribed with literature.
*Friendship easily won in the above manner. Offer her a rare copy of a piece of text and she is forever under your wing. The only thing unbribable is to get her to use magic... then again perhaps for a first edition of Sheogaroths Journal....

The
Religious Views
She has no particular Diety though she does hold interest in some Daedric Princes... from a scholarly view of course.
*Sheogaroth: She finds most of his written exploits particularily entertaining, though some are less endearing and some downright terrifying. Still, she enjoys the ideal of a diety that has fun.
*Hermaeus Mora: Perhaps one of the only god-like beings she truly revers. He represents a cool and stoic ever calm perception of knowledge, and she dreams of seeing his great library and exploring the numerous tomes at random. She does not fear going mad searching for specific knowledge. She'd be having too much fun flipping through it at random. However the image of a mass of tentacles and eyes is just... creepy. She personally prefers imagining him as a grey robed and coweled man, stooped but radiating great powerful knowledge as he leans lightly upon a twisted staff. Perhaps incorrect, but still better then.. tentacles..
*Molag Bal: The very name terrifies her, but she does have some slight intregue, especially as he is one of the more difficult Princes to find referances of, and as Kehkmah is allied with him and speaks much praise of the Daedric Prince.
*Azura: Her knowledge is limited on the diety but Azura has seemed as more motherly of the entities and for this she likes Azura well enough.
*Sanguine: Sinful perhaps but, like Molag, Sanguine also holds a slight intregue if only for lack of subsequent knowledge.
*Mehrunes Dagon: Not so much about the Daedric Prince but she believes he has likely been warped in his image by Man and Mers natural resistance and dislike of change. She even began writing a text about the subject.
Politics Views
Politics. Another terrifying concept. She'd rather read about a war than participate. Its better to just nod, smile and obey the law and hope the next ruler doesn't lay heavy taxes or start handing out fines like candy.
Being half Breton and half Altmer has put her between the two factions and as such she chooses to take neither side rather than be pitted against her own blood. She keeps her eyes down and does not partake in any talk of politics or the throne.
*Rumors*
Did you hear? Lady Literature is apparently looking for records of her birth parents.
I heard Morgyna has a bunch of nasty burns on her back.
Apparently that Woodwing girl is a terrible cook... burnt butter! Now how does one manage such a thing?
Theres a rumor going around that a few suitors proposed to Morgyna Woodwing but she turned them down. Something about needing only her books...
I heard Lady Literature made a deal with Herma Mora! She exchanged her soul for all her books!
Do you think its true that Morgyna Woodwing was once a member of a group of necromancers? And that she sometimes nibbled on the corpses??
