are there any mmos that have a larger price tag and subscription fee? i'm not talking about games with micro transactions. just games you buy and pay a subscription.

This lists subscription prices but I don't know of any lists that contain the retail costs so I can only answer part of your question.

Although according to the list $14.99 is the highest subscription rate with several other MMO's charging the same subscription price.

SWTOR was full retail + $15/month

SWTOR collector's edition was $149 - $49.99 MORE than ESO's

so yeah, ESO isnt the most expensive. nice try though. i admire the effort.

No is not. It has the same subscription as every other game, including WoW.

And if we factor inflation, TESO actually is cheaper than any other P2P MMO that came out ever.

That is a very broad statement, also untrue considering the chart in the link provided.
and yes inflation included - $1 in 2013 → $1.02 in 2014 http://www.in2013dollars.com/

First of all your sample (USD) is tad useless, since it only represents one year, especially after 2008.

2005 (WoW) to 2014 (TESO)

$14.99 2005 is today $18.14, 21% difference.
£8.99 in 2005 is £11.71 today. 31% difference.
11.99 Euro of 2005 is 13.73 Euro today, 14.54% difference.

If we go back to 2001 (DAOC) (same sub costs)

USD ($) $20.01 today, 33.5%
GBP (£) £12.98 today, 44%
Euro 14.94 today, 24.62%

All way back to UO 1997

USD ($) $22.07 today, 47.2%
GBP (£) £14.28 today, 59%
Euro 15.82 today, 31.92%

I just wanted to see if eso is really so overpriced compred to other mmos. A couple days ago I watched angry joe and francis video reviews just to see what all the fuss was about. They both got blue in the face about what a poor value eso is. But along the way they made some valid points. with those guys the truth can get buried under an avalanche of hyperbole. I just wanted to hear more about the subject from people that do not earn their living getting blue in the face over video games.

I feel like I'm getting a good value so far.

Tasteless as only using the examples that fit what you'd like to be true? What about the 6$ per month games that came out in 2012??

You made an extremely broad statement and touted it as fact. Which it isn't.

"TESO actually is cheaper than any other P2P MMO that came out ever."

No, it's not.
