I am planning on being a mage kind of Altmer, but i also really like archery and duel wielding. when i create my charcacter is ESO and i choose to be a mage, but then i decide to be a stealthy archer, is there a way in which i can change my combat style? or do i have to make a new character?

Quick totorial on changing play style: change playstyle.

Seriously though, you should be able to excell at almost anything with any race/class. Granted for stealth a night made might have some very useful skills you wouldn't be able to get as another class, but I don't think it would be to the point that you would be crippled because you are a different class

i believe for that you would have to make a new character, but with any class you can use any weapon or armour.

You can't change your initial choice of 'class', if you pick Templar you will have those skill trees always... as far as I know. However you CAN use any weapons and armor that you want, including magic staffs, so in that way you are able to build the play-style you want out of any class or race.

As @Do'Rakk said, even if the Nightblade skill tree might have some unique skills for archery that you can't get, you can still be a badass archer if you pick another class. ^-^ Especially because, if I'm recalling correctly, the different weapons have their own skill lines as well.

Edit: Apparently I don't type fast enough. XD lol

You can't change your class (as far as we know so far), but you can pick up and start using any weapon or armor and simply start using it. Grab that medium armor, grab that bow, grab a couple swords and off you go!

*Holy crap, I rhymed without meaning to!*

hahahaha i like what they're doing to the game, at first i wasn't sure that an mmo is the right way to go, but im actually looking forward to this game. im just curious about the armor, will each faction get to have their own armor, like for instance the armor has the same stats and everything but it just looks different on each race, so we can distinguish between each other and every race can have their own style.

i am not entirely certain on this but i believe that all the armour types from the TES series are in and there are also race related armour looks. If someone know more and can elaborate that would be really awesome :D

I don't recall hearing anything definate about race specific armors, but I will say that I strongly hope that Khajiit and argonian character models provide TAIL HOLES

I heard something about that, in an interview i think not sure, but im positive they wont make a mistake as silly as that. now i wonder if theres going to be capes, and if so, how will they manage to make the capes go with the tails of the argonians and the khajiits.

yeah like i said i am not positive on this, i do remember that the elven and orcish armours will be in and will be more commonly found in their respective factions, but someone can get the armour in their faction through a random drop or a skilled smith ( i think that is right anyway )

I think they said that people will be able to craft their racial armor before others, but all racial armors can be unlocked.

From what I remember, they said something along the lines of "We have the armor that people are used to seeing in a TES game as well as armors that are racially influenced" or... something like that. It was a long time ago. Either way though, the general consensus on this website is that SOME kind of racially inspired armors (other than just chitin and such from Morrowind) have been confirmed to be included in the game. As for telling each other apart on the battlefield, I think you'll just have to see what race they are. They also said something along the lines of costumes/disguises that might fool someone (they used NPCs as an example, but might apply to players as well) from a bit of a distance.
