Helgen, 4E 201

The mid afternoon was warm, for Skyrim, that day in Helgen.

Parents had their children indoors while they themselves craned their necks to try and see the Imperial soldiers escorting two carts full of men and women wearing the colours of the Stormcloak rebels with their leader Ulfric Stormcloak himself in the rear cart along with one of his bodyguards, a common criminal in rags. And a Nord with longish black hair that seemed to have just woken up.

General Tullius parted from the convoy and went to speak with Elenwen, the Thalmor ambassador to Skyrim.

Soon the wagons were stopped and the prisoners unloaded then, one by one, they were called off to the headsman's block. The common prisoner in rags made a run for it to the gates but the Imperial archers were faster and shot three arrows into his back killing him on the spot.

The prisoners were all in a circle around the headsman's block. The priestess of Arkay giving them their last rites...

Leondril rubbed his hands quickly. Thankfully these new Robes were thick and warm, well warmer than his regular robes. The weather here was awful, why, oh why did they re-assign him from Daggerfall to here. And how long are they going to keep us in the Courtyard and the cold. He shivered. Well atleast this will hopefully be a quiet posting.

Enlenaril sighed drawing her hood. It was deathly cold...nothing unusual for Skyrim, she cursed silently why they re-assigned her here was a complete mystery. Though at least they had the decency to provide thicker clothing for those posted here, though it tended not to make too much difference especially during snow storms. Perhaps this would turn out to be a relatively "cosy" assignment, like she had previously in Cyrodill.

Leondril looked around the Courtyard, the main Gate, the bulk of the guard barracks and the main Emabssy. There were Guards posted at the walls and patrolling between the watchtowers and outside the walled area. There was a Female Justiciar standing some distance away, probably also waiting to be assigned. Leondril stepped from foot to foot a couple of times yearning for some heat.

Enlenaril noticed from the corner of her golden eye, a male justicar who appeared be stepping from foot-to-foot. She acknowledged him with a slight nod, and returned her gaze to the main embassy building. Perhaps he was fairing worse with the bitter cold then she was? Compared to Cyrodill however this place was just ice. She folder her arms trying to conserve what small heat their was, how could these savage Nord creatures live here?

Leondril glanced at the other Justiciar and though he saw a movement of her head, but dismissed it. He looked down at his feet and stretched his now pale hand out of the long sleeve of his Black robe and tried to create a small flame in the palm of his hand. It gave little warmth and despite cupping it in his hands it blew out quickly. He sighed and retreated his fingers into the sleeve in dismay. He cast a weak healing spell on himself and felt the momentary warmth flow through his body, it wasn't much and faded quickly but was good enough.

Enlenaril glanced at the male justicar, she assumed that her nod wasn't acknowledged either due to ignorance or just that he was bothered so greatly by the cold. She looked at her now rather pale hands, and almost gasped the cold had literally made her once golden skin seem almost off. She rapidly clenched and unclenched her hands, trying to get the blood in her hand circulating.

Third emissary Rulindil strode into the courtyard with his chin high eyeing the two new justiciars. Despite the fact that he would only be in the courtyard for less than a minute he had taken the precaution to ingest a potion of warmth to cancel out the cold. "You two. Your orders are to report to High Justiciar Nilandriil in the main barracks. Your task is to see to rooting out heretical Talos worship in the settlement of Dragon's Bridge and bring those responsible to justice" he said then turned on his heel and re-entered the embassy.

Beorn hated this damned waiting.

He had been waiting two days since his capture to arrive in Helgen to be executed and now he had to wait still for this priestess to read them their last rites before they could be executed.

One of his comrades interrupted though by demanding he be executed which the Imperial captain seemed happy to oblige with.

He watched as the red haired man was put on the block and the headsman swung his axe down severing his head. "Next, the Nord in the rags!" the captain called out referring to the black-haired prisoner with a somewhat scruffy beard.

Enlenaril nodded and saluted, it was mainly pointless as he was inside the embassy before she did but it was a symbol of respect. She turned to the male justicar and said in her normally harsh tone "Come, you have your orders" when she had finished her sentence, she began walking to where she presumed the barracks were.

Leondril glanced up as a well dressed Altmer briskly walked out of the Embassy and gave them their orders. Leondril bowed at the waist and staying so until the Altmer left. That must be the Third Emissary, Leondril though as he took one last glance at the insignia on the robes, before lifting his head up and turning around to walk off to the Barracks indicated.

Raalskr was made to stand guard in the palace of kings and had been there for five days now. It had normal and boring for the most part until he overheard that Ulfric Stormcloak hadn't been seen for two days. There were rumours of how he was ambushed by imperials and taken away as prisoners to some imperial controlled land. It couldn't be true! Ulfric was too great to be taken by weak imperial scum. Or was he? Either way he was forced to stand guard in this boring position...

Cyngawr was in his tent, sharpening the crude points on his traditional swords when he was told to get ready for a raid on some mine. "Can't wait to kill some nord dogs!" he thought to himself as he grabbed up his bow and sheathed his two swords. Before they headed out he stopped to practice his archery, he hadn't done so in weeks but his father always said to train daily... That was until the bastard nords killed him and his mother. They would pay.

Hannibal drake drew his weapons. At last he would get to kill off some of the Nordic tyrants.

He was part of a raid ordered by his briarheart at the Druadach redoubt among eleven other fellow reachmen and women to attack and capture Kolskegger mine. It was a gold mine so, while it was impractical to the Forsworn other than as a defence, it would definitely impact the Nords and grow the Forsworn's reputation and instil fear into the hearts of the Nords.

The group neared the mine where they joined up with a briarheart who was to become the leader of the mine and his two Berserker lieutenants each wielding a sword and an axe.

The combined force formed up with weapons drawn and stormed the mine.

*ping* Inglof the Tall's pickaxe hit hard on the rock around the ore. "Well, thats my shift done. Gutadr, drink in five when you're done." Inglof was on his way out when he saw figures run into the mine. "Forsworn." he yelled to his fellow workers while running back to the end of the mine. "Forsworn."

Hannibal charged with his brethren to the mine entrance where a lone guard from Markarth stood. One of the berserkers threw their axe at the guard which flew straight into the Nord's chest and killed him.

The group charged past and into the mine noticing a miner who yelled "Forsworn!" but then Hannibal was upon him and took a running leap off a rock and planted his axe in the Nord's neck letting the crimson liquid flow freely.

He pulled his axe out and bellowed a battle cry and swung his sword and axe in the direction of another Nord as the rest of the party charged deeper into the mine killing off the Nords.

In the midst of the battle one Nord and an Orc managed to slip past running in fear towards the exit "Hahaha! flee and spread word! fear the Forsworn!" the briarheart yelled after the fleeing miners.
