Conflicted on if I should get a XB1 or not, given the massive failure MS has been lately...

PC here, as many of the people on here will be, As the forum was created before the console announcements.
I myself might also play on the PS4, way down the line as a casual ALT character.

I myself am a MMO noob, the MMO community is primarily a PC thing so this will be a nice transition for console gamers and TES fans to get into MMO's. Although, the most players and better experience will be on PC.

My experience with console players are that most people do not take the game seriously or take it too serious to the point of cursing and vexing at everyone else (CoD player stereotype), I have met great gamers on XBL before though. My point is if it is a great MMORPG experience you are looking for, go for PC.

1. I don't see why people shy away form the Xbone the DRM has been fixed
2. Both the Xbone and PS4 networks are in SHAMBLES!

Anyway ranting aside, PC and one if the consoles, not sure which one (likely Xbone just for the added entertainment it gives)

I like company integrity and I want to buy from someone that wont stab me in the back. Imagine if you were an Xbox fan, which I'm not, and you find out all this DRM shit, you would be disappointed.

The shop won't have pay-to-win items, just convenience and probably cosmetic. Although I must agree with the greedy side; it's like they have all this cool stuff and it will be a really good game but then they show a pretty annoying, darker side of bleeding money out of us. I'd say if they are making it subscription based then they shouldn't have a shop (lets not forget the price of purchasing the game which will be the highest they can make it), but if they make it a non-subscription/1 time fee then they could implement a shop. A lump sum, a continuous subscription and a shop will be too much for some, I already know several fans who are now rethinking getting this game.

I'll be playing on PC like all my other MMOS. I will most likely buy a PS4 at some point though, just to get the latest shiz.

Uh oh, I hope you fan boys don't invade TESOF. Both consoles are great, get whichever one interests you more.

And it isn't necessarily about being greedy, it's about being able to put out a high quality game.

If you can't afford the monthly fee then I don't think you should be buying a ps4 or X1.

I am going PC, a mmorpg on console just seems weird to me. Unless it's... DESTINY! I will stick to single player rpgs on my x1.

I am also DC, just invading your thread.

EDIT: I just saw this thread in the DC section but oh well too late.

People are still bringing up the DRM? It's gone! And wouldn't the fact that they took it out be a good thing since it means they listen to the customers? Personally I don't really care. I think all this console wars is stupid, and every game should be cross platform so everyone gets to experience great games. Just get what you like and stop trying to convince the world your system is better.

I'll be on the PS4 console and I can't wait. It's my first MMO so I'm learning as I go. I've found forums much like this one incredibly welcoming and an invaluable resource for newbs like me.
