As most of you will know, purchasing the Imperial Edition of The Elder Scrolls Online will allow you to journey through Tamriel as a native of Cyrodil, an Imperial. However many dislike this and won't be buying it and many who do probably won't be playing as an Imperial even if they do get the Imperial Edition.

To this, I must ask, are you planning to/have you purchased the Imperial Edition and if so, shall you play as an Imperial?

My further questions include:

Has the fact that the Imperials are an exclusive race tempted you to play as one?

If playing as an Imperial, what faction shall you choose?

Has your main character build/bio changed so as to become an Imperial?

Thanks for your time.

Already bought imperial edition. I will play as an imperial simply because I think the armor looks cool, not BECAUSE it is a vanity race. That being said, the imperial won't be my main character. Also, your build should't change simply because you are playing as an imperial, there passives and such will be no different than other races. Imperials are simply an aesthetic option, as is their armor. As far as a bio, that sounds like a rp aspect and I dont care too much for it

Ps - I'll probably throw my imperial in the ad or dc because it seems like they will be significantly outnumbered by the ep, and balance between the factions is the most important thing for this game to succeed in the long run. Thats my favorite thing about the open race decision by zos, I can now be my favorite race and still contribute to one of the smaller factions

It is not that I lack loyalty, in fact it is one of my stronger traits. It just seems that I have a much deeper, more poignant sense of betrayal.

this poll is not indicative of what hte game will be like. this is an Elder Scrolls ENTHUSIASTS web page. of course a majority of its members will consider if not outright purchase the collector's edition of the game. we wouldnt be here if we werent abnormally excited about this game.

there are less than 10k members on this webpage (approx 9200). now consider this game will sell around 2 million copies: this site represents AT MOST 2.1% of the overall population of the game. and honestly, not all 9k members even post on here anymore so that percentile is much lower.

polls like these just reaffirms what i've stated.

@Rickter

If that's so, then why have 2 people voted that they won't be purchasing the game?

Also, I didn't say I was taking the results as solid, all around results, I was simply curious.

Will not play a Imp. Don't like the pay to element and what seems like a cash grab. I bet switching factions and PLAYING A Imp will become a pay service later on. I did order though and will play.

The biggest thing to me about the Imperial Edition is the ability to be 'married' to another player, granting an exp bonus when we play together.
This would be a big thing for many of my guild members as they are couples, including myself and my fiance. 90% of the time that i play an MMO, it is with the mrs.

I also like the look of Imperials.
