Okay, so some have debated in other threads about why TESO will be different, and why you should not want to race to the end. I happen to be one of those folks, I think TESO should not be rushed through.

Unfortunately (for those like me at least) the game has not even launched yet, and I have already seen an ad for a ESO game guide, promising to show you how to get to level 50 in 7 days. Naturally, it has tips on making gold, PvP tactics, and end game walk through.

So how do you feel? Is this the kind of thing you have been dreading, or is this right up your alley?

The fires burn. Our supplies are spent. Axes are dull, and armor is rent. The enemy approaches, our doom, they seek. We are Daggerfall Covenant. We are Orcs. Our comrades, they come, for glory they seek, at the side of our iron and steel. We will not fall.

If people want to skip the storyline and just rush to end game that is there decision. I think in games such as ESO with a strong storyline it is more enjoyable to actually play the game to it's fullest.

Although, there are the people who have already played ESO through to end game so they may skip a lot since they have already done it previously.

I will be trying to level as quick as possible but without skipping through anything, and trying to get the most of the game at the same time.

I've never enjoyed a game by rushing through it.

Doubtless there will be people getting to veteran ranks within the first week of play, that would not surprise me at all.

The first level 50 I see I will make a public mockery of them!

It was fun beating all my guildies to 90 in WoW with the most recent expansion. They only had to gain 5 levels, I started with a fresh, new character and got it geared for raiding in a week, before any of them had even reached the new cap. Hell yeah.

But Elder Scrolls isn't just a game. It's a way of life. I plan to RP through my leveling whenever possible.

I'm looking for a recreation that is not all about proving my superiority. I want to have something of an experience living in an alternate world, but that is more interactive than reading fiction. ES rocks better than any other alternate universe I've encountered, with respect to its instantiation in interactive media.

i dont think this game rewards power leveling to max level. if you dont talk to every npc, you may miss out of quests, also you gain skill points by reading the lore books, power levelers will skip that too. and sky shards, i mean it just makes no sense to power level

Thanks for all the feedback guys and gals! I didn't figure we had many power levelers on this forum, and from the poll I was right, but it would have been nice to at least hear their point of view.

Rickter, I agree with your comment, I think if you try to blow through this game, there will be a lot of important stuff you miss out on, not just fluff.

Of course I'm not going to rush it, but then again I've yet to find a game where I've not been accused of rushing to max-level by someone despite having leveled at a casual pace.
