So whats your take on the five professions? Do you think they are good professions? Many say that the provisioner or "chef" will be just as undervalued as it was in Skyrim. It's also said that there aren't nearly enough professions, whats your take?

What makes you say that there aren't enough professions? What do you want? Dog-trainer?

I think it's yet to be seen how useful the chef will be; will the available buffs scale appropriately and will there be a variety of buffs and some that can only be obtained through provisioned goods? I think it could definitely be a useful profession, if implemented correctly.

Regarding the number of professions - how many are really needed in a game like this? I would rather have a handful of well rounded, valuable professions than have an enormous number of professions with minimal utility and broken mechanics.

There are definitely enough professions.

If you have too many they start to invade into each other territory, and you get arguments over who should be making what, in which to compensate they have to add in stupid things to balance them..

I am actually going provisioner due to games such as WoW, cooking was absolutely vital and had potential to make large amounts of money, I'm also putting it with Alchemy as I intend to be a healer/support. And I can gear my crafting towards it too.

In terms of Skyrim, Cooking wasn't even a skill, it was just an added thing to do for fun/RP. Imagine if it had a skill line similar to Blacksmithing.
