From what I understand, TESO will have five professions which you can chose from... The list includes:

-Provisioner
-Alchemist
-Weaponsmith
-Armorsmith
-Enchanter

Personally, I think I'll be going to Enchanter if only because it fits my future-characters personality and back-story. I'm sure weapon and armor smiths will be in high demand but I feel like alchemists and provisioners will be left in the dust. Thoughts?

Haven't really considered it. I will be more focused on combat skills, but the guild I am in is going to be a organization based in the skooma trade, so I suppose it would make sense to be experienced in alchemy. On the other hand, as a combat heavy character, it might be more rp friendly to build survival skills and thus go provisioner.

I would expect nothing less from the Archmage!

I'm hoping to go Armor smith and Enchanter. I see this as a great combo for self use and selling.
Alchemists and provisioners are going the have it the best though, according to how significantly different their items would be compared to what the shops are selling, they should have a higher turnover than all other items.
Also I wanted to point out that armors might have damage after fights so I think there are chances of them either breaking or becoming unusable after a certain amount of fights this would be good for armor smiths because then people would have to come back to you for new gear or repairs after a certain amount of time.

Great points, but I'm not sure if you can do more than one profession! I'll have to check that out.

Well you cant really be an Archmage, atleast not from the start, the title "Archmage" is just a formality since I am leading a Guild ;)

Last time I checked, you can only max out a single profession and go partway in a second until your profession skill is capped. Keep that in mind when deciding! I'll probably be maxing armorsmith or weaponsmith, then go partway with provisioner.

Yeah, you can take up a total of two professions.

EDIT: read what vigk vagk v2 said above ^^

Dont you agree that the enchanting is so much better an dcooler now than it was in Skyrim for example (or Oblivion for that matter that was even more worse, Morrowind was even more worse)? Now you are holding in a book and waving with your hand, and in your hand is a magic light. In Skyrim you looked down on a table with some glowing magic symbols on... in Teso it actually look like you are doing something magical...

Oh absolutely. It will actually feel like I'm enchanting the item rather than just staring at it, willing some magical properties to randomly be bestowed upon it!
