PvE Endgame?

Hi guys, this is pretty much my first post here (excluding the introductions thread) and I know there have been topics on here previously discussing the chances of them including instanced PvE raids in ESO, however those topics and the information in them is quite dated now. I know some people will have been able to scrounge information which hasn't been publicly released yet so i'm wondering if I could pick some of your brains a little? Would be good to compile all the information we know about Endgame dungeons and raids into one place.

Some of main pointers I am looking to get information on are:

-Will there be any raids at all? (10+ player content)

-If there are raids will they be instanced or open world?

-Has there been any talk of what size the raids will be? 10 man? 16 man? 20 man? etc..

-Will there be bosses and long duration encounters?

Feel free to add any other information you may have gathered as it will be much appreciated.

Endgame raiding will be the determining factor in whether I decide to play ESO simply for it's leveling and lore or move to the game permanently, so I really hope zenimax have provided something for the raiding MMO player base.

Not much is known yet, all though raids will be in, and there will be end-game open world group PvE as well.

So far I've heard groups will be 4 man. And raids will either be 16 or 20 man. But nothing official has been said. We'll have to wait to find out.

However, the developers said there will be open world dungeons, instanced dungeons, heroic dungeons and raids. Plus adventure zones that will have a variety of content possibly including raids. But they haven't really said that much on the adventure zones.

About the only thing we know for sure on raids is they will start at level 50.

Yea like @Tabbycat said, theres 4 man and they did say that there will be larger group raids for sure, but I dont remember if they said for sure the exact number on the larger group. Ill go try to find it in a bit here, unless someone beats me to it.

I'm curious if there could be no limit on some pve events. As the philosophy of TESO in pve is to have groups fighting groups where pve is simulating pvp. Of course dungeons will have a small person cap but adventure zones or certain raids that don't have a large boss at the end may have no limit. Of course this is speculation based on the concept of groups fighting groups.

well, the public/open world dungeons would fit that description. Theyre open to whoever or however many want to go into them

Well they did say there would be an endgame pvp system, a realm rank system like daoc had. Which i always thought was the best endgame because it kept people building their characters and making them better after max level for years. I think it took someone 8 years to finally hit that realm rank 13 cap.

As for PVE..... dont know

There will be PvE Raids and it will arguably be isntanced.

Also Zenimax has also strongly implied PvE progression - which arguably means that there will be progressively harder content that players would need to collect gear in order to complete. Of course it is possible that they have developed a completely different progression system than the usual gear grind but I doupt it. If they had thats something the would have advertized already.

I would really like to know about Raid sizes. I hated 25 man raids in WoW because you needed 2 hours just to put them together. Heck even 10 man raids took quite a while to form unless you were in a very organized guild. Personally, I would greatly prefer 8 man Raids, but again, thats personal preference.

16 or 20 seem to be the 2 numbers people are talking about at the moment and personally I'd prefer 20, raiding is all about organization, making it a size as small as 8 would just make it a dungeon group rather than a raid.

I defenetly remember when they said that in Cyrodill you will haw dungeons, open dungeons, and raids, and that in open dungeon you will still be bale to do PvP, that means you will haw to fight vs NPC and may be vs Players at same time. I find this very exiting the choice of helping the enemy kill the boss or kill enemy and finish off boss, or even combines streghts, since looting is phased to character there is no "ownership" on the kill, as long as you in combat you will haw the reward, or somthin like that.

I wonder if i was 13+ what stooping me seating my self as 20+? this kind of stuff makes me cynical about this new system, sure if that what they answer at questioner was true, but there will always be troll or jerk who will go to random "phases" to screw around. Ummmm may be they will haw ignore system, that makes it so that you wont get in same phase as people from your ignore list.

considering we might get a darkness falls like expirience after launch, id say we will see some raid sizes above 20. at least id hope so.
But probably not in the *Regular* PvE endgame.

This article was released today from IGN after they played the game a little bit and talked with the designers last week.

If you scroll down and look under the section titled "The Right Moves" they kind of make it seem like there will not be any raids in the game. Everything else I have read said there would be raids for endgame PVE so it's probable that they just misinterpreted what they heard. It doesn't really affect me either way. I doubt I will have time to participate in raiding, but it would be an interesting decision to not have any.
