I feel like this is a topic that is not talked about enough; the topic of The Alliance War and the cool feature that will be the use of Siege Weapons and even better, the chances of becoming an Emperor/Empress!

Most of the topics I have seen regarding Cyrodiil have been about what everyone intends on doing in the heat of Battle and such, but I haven't really seen much talk about what they expect and/or hope certain things will be such as being Emperor and the use of Siege Weapons.

Are you excited about the fact you can actually become an outstanding Ruler of the Imperial City?

What do you intend on doing in order to see your Guild Master or Yourself as the Emperor?

What do you think you will be able to do AS Emperor and how long do you suppose you will remain such?

Will you participate in the use of Siege Weapons and how do you think their use will be utilized and to what extremes?

Do you expect battle to be as shown in previews; A Flood of Warriors suddenly crashing through enemy defenses and bringing them all sorts of hell?

What type of Warrior do you intend on being in the Battle and how do you plan on fighting?

And now to answer these myself...

I am more than excited. It's the first time I have really seen something like this; where you can actually be someone of significant importance above everyone else even if it is for a short period of time. It makes me eager to reach that status, and even though I do not intend on trying to be the Emperor, I will do my best to make sure my Guild Leader will reach that title so that not only they, but our Guild can reach glory!

Being someone who intends on being a pure Archer, I will try to keep my distance whilst remaining close enough to protect my Guild Master by eliminating nearby targets around them and my Guild Mates so that we have a higher chance of success.

Bragging rights, for one! Haha but I also believe that as Emperor, as posted on TESO Official Website, you will gain certain special abilities and perhaps an increase in certain skills. Not only that, but I assume if you are a Roleplay, reaching the status an Emperor could also make for some excellent Roleplay thereafter. You never know. Although on the topic of longevity, I don't suppose you can be Emperor for that long. Perhaps a Day at most. I would say a Week, but that's pushing it. There will probably be a Leaderboard/Highscore List on the Website that will list all who have achieved that Status as well.
Quote:Will you participate in the use of Siege Weapons and how do you think their use will be utilized and to what extremes?
Oh most definitely. The use of Siege Weapons will probably be a very key thing in the battle in order to reach victory. As an Archer, I will not only be doing Long Range Eliminations with a Bow & Arrows, but I will use the famous Catapult as well. Flaming Balls and Heavy Stones to break enemy lines and walls. It's all exciting to me!

You know, when I saw the video introducing the idea, and I saw dozens of warriors pouring in through the wall... I was completely sold to this game. The fact that it is so realistic and closely resembles Movies like Lord of the Rings and Braveheart etc. makes me all the more excited to play in PvP. Nothing is more amazing that breaking through enemy defenses along with dozens of your teammates and attacking your enemies all at once. In my opinion, it's so much better than Shooting Games where people are all scattered about as individuals, hiding and camping and sniping. No. In this, You're in their face and you are rushing at them with everything you got with only one thing on your mind; Victory.

Quote:What type of Warrior do you intend on being in the Battle and how do you plan on fighting?
Archer, Siege Weapon User and every once in a while, I will do close combat with Daggers and such. Primarily, I expect to be on high ground, sending off arrows at my enemies with precision. Acting as reconnaissance for my Guild Mates and letting them know everything I see on the Battlefield in order to help them. Think of me as their Eyes of the Battlefield in a way. :)

Unfortunately, we don't know a lot about the emperor feature yet, but I think its definitely gonna be interesting. Ive seen a similar feature done in a game before but Im sure Bethesda will make sure its done better than that. Personally, I don't plan to try for it. If I just happen to rank up there, then so be it.

I don't know that you can actually help anyone become emperor, since its gonna be based on your battle statistics, from what I understand.

I suspect emperor will have control over certain assets and the anility to levy taxes and such. In order for it to mean anything, I think it'll need to last a while, maybe a month.

As for siege weapons, Im looking forward to seeing how theyre implemented. It makes for a new variation to war in games that use this. I like them and absolutely intend to utilize them in any attacks Im involved in. A leader would a fool not to. I also suspect that many places will be virtually impossible to take without siege equipment.

Battle is never quite like the trailers show it. There may possibly be big clashes like that in open ground or after a keep's defenses have been taken down, but I expect a large majority of battle to be small to medium conflicts over certain locations or assets. (At least Im certainly hoping it doesn't become another zergfest, like other games)

I usually run a scout type char stealthing around and keeping the leaders informed on enemy movement, or a melee char right up in the front of the battle.

Yes.

Making life difficult for legitimate competitors and mostly ignoring those who aren't.

What do you think you will be able to do AS Emperor and how long do you suppose you will remain such?

I don't expect a reign to last long, as I expect much boasting to ensue. Mechanically, I can't really say; not a lot of information is out there.

Will you participate in the use of Siege Weapons and how do you think their use will be utilized and to what extremes?

Yes. I believe their use will be at the early phase of battle in a given area, mostly to break fortifications/force fighting instead of skirmishing.

Do you expect battle to be as shown in previews; A Flood of Warriors suddenly crashing through enemy defenses and bringing them all sorts of hell?

Rarely. Most battles will be on a smaller scale.

What type of Warrior do you intend on being in the Battle and how do you plan on fighting?

Are you excited about the fact you can actually become an outstanding Ruler of the Imperial City?

I think it's a cool idea to incentivize being the best PvPer out there! Though it seems mostly for bragging rights than actual ruleship, but bragging rights are fun too.

What do you intend on doing in order to see your Guild Master or Yourself as the Emperor?

I don't believe I'll be able to commit the time to become an Emperor, but if I wanted to elevate another to the top-- I would just be objective oriented and be a team player. No one on my faction would be Emperor if we can't win the Imperial City!

What do you think you will be able to do AS Emperor and how long do you suppose you will remain such?

Besides bragging rights, I'd imagine there to be a few buffs you could contribute to your fellow teammates. Supportive advantages, like a small percentage increase in health and DPS to allies around you. (Though nothing is confirmed, this is just a thought.)

I think I've read that Cyrodiil campaigns last a little while, around over a month. So I'm guessing that's the term for Emperor as well.

Will you participate in the use of Siege Weapons and how do you think their use will be utilized and to what extremes?

I think Siege Weapons will be pretty integral for capturing large keeps and command points, so yes I will be participating somehow with them. I envision myself defending the Siege Weapons when enemy players try to rush it to disable them. So I'll be eliminating or delaying any threat so that the siege weapons may destroy what they're aiming at!

Do you expect battle to be as shown in previews; A Flood of Warriors suddenly crashing through enemy defenses and bringing them all sorts of hell?

I think it's natural in MMOs for players in large battles to "ball up" on their sides, and go with the flow of the group. Crashing through walls and charging the defenders is a part of this! I'm just hoping the battles feel exciting and natural.

What type of Warrior do you intend on being in the Battle and how do you plan on fighting?

I'm a bit undecided on this at the moment, but I'll definitely have some healing ability. Thinking about going with medium armor Templar, and be a bit versatile in what I can bring to the fight. But specialists tend to be what's needed on the field, so we'll see.

I vow that I WILL be the Empress of Tamriel within the first year and like Groundskeeper Willie would say, as my first act I will kill the whole lot of ya and burn your towns to cinders!! :o

Then of course I will declare that Tamriel will be known as Kashyyyk 2 from that moment on!
