Rare Items in TESO? Market/Auction House?

Do you think TESO is going to have rare items, say like Diablo 3, where there is going to be a want for some items over others?

Or do you think its going to be based strictly like Skyrim, where all armors and weapons are preset and can be enchanted.

I'm just wondering this because I'm not sure how TESO is going to have a market if its based off skyrim, because everyone can just craft armors and weapons on their own. There is no real "rare" item because everyone has equal access to all armors and all weapons.

Any thoughts?

I am sure there will be trash equipment, slightly better equipment, even better equipment, and the top tier stuff and anything I missed in between. Also Skyrim had Deadric weapons and armor like Dawnbreaker, etc.

There will most likely be the generic armors that you can enchant, but I'd also bet that there will be some rare items, or maybe even some daedric artifacts that you can obtain.

I would like to see an AH. Having a char dedicated to AH is fun and can be your money maker. I alson want an AH for my main chars to buy stuff that I don’t want to grind for.

As long as it's an actual place ingame, and not some stupid popup menu, I'm fine with it.

i would like for it to be both a popup window & an an ingame place. I liked how guild wars 2 did their ah system. People were able to place orders for an item that they wanted a slightly lower price for. Players could bring up a pop up window and buy, sell, & place orders. Players who were out questing and such could bring up this pop-up window and sell their current items to people who had placed orders for them. It resulted in more profit than selling it to an npc vendor and was more convenient. If you don't like the pop up window idea at all i suggest they add auction house npc in each zone in a town or something.

Also the ah icon would have a red exclamation mark if you had something waiting for you at the auction house. You still have to visit an ah vendor to pick anything up.

Remember Zenimax has to accommodate mmo players too. Not everything will be as immerse as skyrim.

Hmm, I know that I want no auction house, or stat system controlled by mall, etc. As people said earlier I think there's going to be trash equipment, slightly better equipment, even better equipment, and the top tier stuff. Also that's the way I would prefer it to be since it seems to offer more balance between players.

I see where you are coming from, but the thing I love about AH is that it gives you pride in achievement. I'm afraid that TESO is going to follow the same play-style in all other TES games, where all items are basically balanced. If it is just the basic Daedric armor/Dragon Armor, by the time everyone hits 50, every player is going to be the same. They should implement something that gives you the wan to keep grinding and find better stuff. Anyone with a brain can just youtube "how to find Chillrend or dawnbreaker" im sure they will do the same in TESO. I just hope that there will be swords and armors that are extremely rare to find, such as a daedric chest plate that is enchanted to regen magica 150% faster. Stuff like that keeps the game interesting, because you can ALWAYS make your player better and it becomes somewhat of a competition amongst every other player.

i really want to know how the auction house would work if they are going to have one because why would people buy stuff when they could just go rob it and how will pick-pocketing work with real players what i think they should do is have it so you can trade with other players and then the players will make there own prices and set a location for where all of the trades will happen this happens on other games that have this quality

It was said in an interview that pick-pocketing isn't going to be in the game. Because all of the factions are split up, it wouldn't make sense to pick-pocket your own faction.
Plus it would just cause general annoyances if you're stuff keeps disappearing all the time.
