Has there any word on how rezzing people in TESO will operate?

Will only certain classes be able to rez people, or will it be like GW2 where anyone can rez a downed person?

Just bumping my own thread.

I haven't seen any comment on this from the various hands-on over the last week.

Has anyone at Pax East had the opportunity to rez or be rezzed? Or seen a rez skill in the skill tree?

Sorry by my ignorance, but what means "rez" or "rezzing"?

It means resurrection , he wants to know how people will be brought back to life when killed. Wayshrines or healers rez skill maybe?

Thanks :)

This is a good question, in one of the interviews/article they said that you can respawn in the wayshrines with no cost, but I don't remember where I see itFrowning

The reason I ask is that it will have a huge impact on the AvA in Cyrodill.

Currently in GW2 any class can rez, and the more people actively trying to rez something, the faster a downed person rezzes. This, as a result, highly favours zerg-centric play, as they a zerg can just continually rez it's downed people quickly.

When you have limited rezzes per class, a well-coorinated smaller group can down the rezzing classes first, and then have good chance at defeating the rest of the zerg if they play smart. Zerging has its place, but the way GW2 works, in the higher levels of WvW, it has almost completely crowded out small group play. (That combined with small maps).

My hope would be that rezzing is a skill in TESO that anyone can skill up, but that like sneak, it would require some dedication.

Yeah this is a concern of mine too for PvP , I read somewhere that once a faction takes an objective like a sawmill or whatever that they can link that objective to a wayshrine but if that's true then how do the attackers manage to wear down the people defending it if they can just fast travel directly back to it when they die? , guess we need more information.

If the map is big enough, the availability of wayshrines should be a manageable problem (especially if you can sever or destroy the enemy wayshrines).

I am currently playing Planetside 2, which has a system of map-wide spawns. Their system works because you can eliminate the enemy spawn in an objective by destroying a generator or flag nearby. This prevents unlimited reinforcements for the zerg. TESO sounds like it will have something similar (severing of connected wayshrines) which will allow for strategic denial of reinforcements.

From what I've heard it sounds like they will have a good balance of map size and time to the action.

From what i understood from intervies, lets use an keep as example, the keep is an spown point where you can teleport to, but if its attacked you cannot teleport in that keep anymore until the battle is over. I am not sure, but can imagine, that this would work the same way also for people who died. You cannot spown in this keep during the fight, but if you have an sawmill near this keep under your controll and this sawmill isn't attacked you can spown there. This is i think a good way to do this, this way you always have to make sure you have enough strategic buildings under your controll near an keep.

(this is just an speculation of corse)

That makes more sense , the idea of an never ending stream of enemies getting killed , respawning and then fast traveling back to the battle seemed silly .

I remember an interview (can't remember which one) talking about specialized skills in PVP raids ... like that scouts can go ahead and give directions on enemy advancement of course; rogues can break into an enemy keep and unlock the gate/door for their side to enter; and the talk of stealing and bringing back the elder scroll to your own shrines. So possibly there will be certain rezzing classes .. maybe the healers or wizards.

TESO - - Multiplayer: "M'aiq does not know this word. You wish others to help you in your quest? Coward! If you must, search for the Argonian Im-Leet, or perhaps the big Nord, Rolf the Uber. They will certainly wish to join you." M'aiq the Liar.

"Va Khaj Dar - Khajiity's united? M'aiq will join!" M'aiq the Liar

hopefully mounted combat will be implemented sometime for some pelennor field type battles in cyrodiil.
