Faction & Race:
Daggerfall Covenant (Breton)
Firstname - Robert
Surname - Vandon
Title - None
Sex - Male
Race - Breton
Age - 25
Occupation - Researcher and scholar
Faction - Daggerfall Covenant
Appearance - Those who have seen him describe him as being extremely tall and skinny, even towering over most Altmer. He has short messy blond hair and bright blue eyes.
Personality - He is a humorous character and often makes jokes, no matter how dire the situation. He enjoys collecting books and scrolls to increase his knowledge of the world so much that it verges on obsession. He is generally kind to everyone who is kind back to him, and does not judge someone because of their race, but because of his background he is slower to trust nobles of any race. Robert does not own a house, instead travelling Tamriel in search of more sources of knowledge and sleeping in inns. Although he values information very highly, he values life higher, and will temporarily give up his search of knowledge to aid anyone who deserves help.
Social Background/Backstory - Robert Vandon was not always his name. He was the child of nobles, but was disowned when he refused to become a politician like his parents and live a noble's life. He fled his hometown and changed his name, pursuing what he loved, which was collecting information and increasing his knowledge. He knows more about Mundus than anyone he has ever met, and has been contacted by Hermaeus Mora several times. Each time he has been contacted by the Daedric Prince of Knowledge he has been offered more knowledge than he could ever get himself, in exchange for servitude. Robert has turned him down every time, knowing full well the dangers of serving a Daedric Prince, and although he wants the information that Hermaeus Mora has to offer he would rather be alive and less knowledgeable than more knowledgeable then dead.
Best Memory - Finding a rare book holding information on the Aedra.
Worst Memory - Being disowned by his parents.
Skills - Robert is an adept summoner. He is much more intelligent than he seems, and he seems very intelligent. He is also an excellent tactician and is skilled in the art of diplomacy.
Challenges for the Character - The skills of stealth and combat.
Birthsign - The Mage
Religious Views - He does not worship any deity, Daedra or Aedra. He acknowledges their existence, but after finding out that the Aedra were tricked by Lorkhan into creating Nirn he decided that they were too foolish to deserve to be worshipped.
Politics Views - He does not usually think wars are necessary, preferring the use of diplomacy instead, but he realises the importance of the current situation and therefore assists the Daggerfall Covenant in any way he can.

Looks like an interesting character. I only have a few suggestions:
1) The backstory seems intriguing; perhaps you should go into more detail.
2) His religious views- In TES, I think it'd be very rare to find someone who doesn't worship any deity. Does he still recognize their existence? Is there a reason for his lack of worship?
3) I feel like this whole bio could do with some expanding. A bit more personality in particular: How does he get along with other people (or even other races)? What are his personal flaws? Does his obsession with learning lead him to alienate other people? Does he now dislike the High Rock's system of nobility?

Thanks for the feedback. I was going to write quite a bit of information but I was worried about it being a chore to read. You have put my worries to rest, I'll expand on a few things. I know it's rare to find someone who worships no deity, but Robert acknowledges the existence of Aedra and Daedra, he just does not worship any of them because of what he has found out about them. He knows that the Aedra were tricked into creating Nirn and therefore believes they are too foolish to be worshipped. I'll add that, and a bit about how he gets on with particular people and races. As for his backstory, am I correct when I say there is an area on the site where I can write short stories about TES? If so then I'll put a little story about Robert on there that will explain everything in greater detail. Thanks for the reply.

Sounds good. I'm no expert myself but I do believe there is in fact a fiction are on this site. (I've been thinking about writing some things myself). I don't think detailed backstories are really a chore, unless they're so long as to be a story unto themselves. In my opinion, the more info the better (although others might disagree).
Your explanations for the Divines makes sense, at least within the context of the character: someone who is so obsessed with knowledge would be quick to judge anyone easily fooled, god or not.
