How about that we try this out again, but we use more powerful characters so that we really can engage in the Game of Thrones? Minor nobles wont be able to affect a thing. With a Martell or Lannister for example things would be different...

The leverage between lower politics and higher politics is the same. The effects might not be as disastrous on the country, but we're not looking at the effects. We're concentrating on the same things as the higher houses: alliances, blackmail, assassination.

Also, lower houses have more variety to them, and leave it open to originality. Higher houses have already been created, and so there are very few options to take.

Why exactly do you want a RP between the higher lords

Well lets say if I were a Vale Lord that are the Lord over Gulltown, or a Manderly. Something like that. Someone far more powerful than the very small lords and ladys that we were playing as Before.

I like it more when one step wrong can be more disastrous, also as a higher lord you would have larger funds to use, people at Court would give a carp what you were saying and listen, something that they wouldnt to to a small lord.

The higher politics are much more intense and you have a larger influence over the World, that is why i want to try this out as a higher lord :)

So what do you say?

One small step can be very disastrous. It brings down the whole family: the thing which every GoT character fears. The only difference with the higher lords is that the average foot-soldiers and knights die as well.

We're not getting involved with the world. The whole small-scale thing was so it didn't have an effect on the story overall of GoT.

Small scale politics can be just as intense as high scale politics. Yeah, nobody dies in Westminster coups, but there's probably more realpolitik than there was in the Bolshevik Revolution.

Well since the previous one died after a few posts I wanted us to have smaller characters, but follow the story all the same. We followed the events in the book and got involved, then Robert dies after weeks of roleplaying and we play out Everything as it happened in the book. Though the end may be quite different than it did in the books...

My plan was to be an Arryn-Grafton and Lord of Gulltown...

We should not be the likes of Tywin, Renly or someone like that. But smaller lords, yet still important. Like a Karstark or someone that powerful.

Can we go with what I said? Or do you still want small lords and ladies...?

Maxx would be interested in the RP that I first spoke of. It would be mostly about politics and plotting, few large battles whom several would be between NPC's that we only would speak about when Word came to our chars. We would alter the war of the five kings in this RP so that it could end with that lets say Robb defeated Tywin and the Lannisters was defeated. The war creates an interesting setting and it is already well filled out so it was because of that I wanted it in that period of time.

Could you be in an RP like that? It will be different from the war RP's that are currently Active...

No. I will not be involved in another war RP. While it appears that this RP has died out for good, I will not join another war-like one. I have the Westeros overhaul mod for both Medieval Total War and Crusader Kings, so I see very little point in being involved.

It will not be only about war, and you can do like Nehemia; only be in the first part of the RP in King's Landing were we will be plotting and involve ourselves in intrigues...
