Does anybody know if its possible, or if it abides by the NDA to share the BETA files to avoid having to download them all.

If I happen upon an extra BETA invite, am I able to copy across the BETA files that I have to another computer providing the other computer has a legitimate BETA invitation?
Or is it required that each BETA player is required to download the files?

If you are talking about giving a friend one of your beta invites and copying the files to their computer then I think that is not allowed. But I'm sure if no one finds out about it then no one will care, shhhh.

no it will not work. Beta keys that are sent to your e-mail are tied to your email address. Once your email has been registered, subsequent beta keys from ZOS to that email are null. Additionally, most of the time, subsequent beta keys are in fact the same key that was given the first time. It's not an issue that it's not allowed, but rather and issue that functionally it won't work. Downloading files to another friend's computer also gives the issue that it is stilled tied to one e-mail and thus one account. I don't know for a fact, but I think it is safe to assume that the ESO servers have safeguards to prevent one account from being logged in from 2 different locations at one time since its a pretty standard security safeguard to help prevent hacking. End state, you could in theory both play, but not at the same time.

The beta keys being sent out by 3rd party sites would probably work this way though, since that particular key is not intrinsically tied to your e-mail. So in effect, you could already be in the beta, get one of these keys and give that key that is not attached to anything and give it to a friend.

yes it is serious, I am just weighing up options as I have not heard anybody else mention this.
Obvious sharing it over the internet is a big no.

The difference being the computer are both in the same room, on the same local network, both people have invites to the same BETA event, I can imagine the files will have some sort of ID in them that stops them being used, I merely ask in case somebody else is in the same scenario and knows.

Uh, I have more than one email address, thus I have 2 unrelated invites, I can use them both for beta, and have them both logged in at the same time.

If you both have beta invites, why just download on both pcs? No need to copy the files. You can try to just copy them if you want and let us know what happens lol.

The reason I want to copy them is because due to my location it takes about 28 hours to download the current BETA.

I read that copying the folders should work, just copy the game and launcher folders I think.

I have no doubt it would work, the only issue is whether or not it is allowed.
Because thinking about it this way, we cant take Screenshots and show them to other people. So there are certain assumptions about copying the entire game..

If you both have beta invites then I don't see a problem with it. I'm sure they can't track the files or know if you are sharing them across computers.

Well people on ESO forums have talked about it and mentioned doing it and it working and the admins have not said anything, so I don't think I'd worry too much. But if you are worried about being tracked and banned then just start downloading, cause you are wasting time right now.

In that case, it would functionally work. In the case of "it is allowed," that's a slippery slope. To quote the NDA:

“Confidential Information” as used in this Agreement shall mean any and all information or material, of every kind and form, in electronic or tangible form, relating to the Beta Trial, Game or any other ZeniMax products and services which are made available to You by ZeniMax under this Agreement.

It could be argued that beta keys can be categorized as confidential information. I personally wouldn't do it, but in the end it's up to you. As I said, it would be functionally sound.

True but if the person the beta key is given to signs the NDA for them selves I wouldn't have thought it would be a problem. Don't quote me on this though, just a speculation.
