Define "fanboy". Is simply preferring it over the other ES games make one a fanboy?

Skyrim Fanboy: A Skyrim Fanboy is a person who thinks that Skyrim is so great and that it is the best game ever. They may think that Skyrim is a standalone game. Without playing or playing very little of the other games. They most likely have only played Skyrim, and you'll see them on forums and YouTube comments complaining about how Morrowind/Oblivion sucked and Skyrim/PC is great.

Well, i do think, in my opinion, Skyrim is the best. But thats mostly because Oblivion HIGHLY discourages leveling up past a certain point because then all your enemies, even the weakest ones, are very hard to kill. I hate "bosses in mooks clothing". I think as you level up you should feel stronger, not weaker. If you are gonna make enemies harder make them smart, not bullet sponges. I also didnt like how they made Cyrodil into this Knights In Shining Armor place with only a few Roman influences. Never got an option to play Morrowind. Dont have PC for gaming. And good luck finding an OXB copy.

Can it run on Windows 8? And is it controller compatible?

@X12 Yes, it should most certainly work with a controller. Especially Xbox 360 controllers (No preference of consoles here, just found XB controllers to be more compatible with PC titles.)

As for actual Skyrim fanboys, I know a fair few that think that Skyrim is the best RPG of all time and barely even know about the older titles, especially the 8/16 bit ones such as Daggerfall and Arena. I myself I am no Skyrim fanboy.

Vlos Hithern!
The Blood Coven!

Va Khaj Dar!
The council of Arcanea!

I liked Oblivion but it doesn't like my computer. Oblivion doesn't seem to play well with my newer OS. I couldn't get into Morrowind because it was too dated. I love Skryim but enough already it is time ES6 to come out. I'm a fan for newer and better ES game.

I wonder what is really so great about Morrowind? Harder =/= Better.

You're in for it now!
Also watch this later: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jf0jiOpD-AQ and also this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JweTAhyR4o0

Better Story-Alduin was gonna destroy the world because...he could?
WAYYY better magic system, they had shield, jump, slow-fall, swift-swim, water-walking AND LEVITATE!!! You can't make your own spells in Skyrim
The merchant system was a lot better. You could trade! Haggle the cost for each item and they had a realistic amount, a insanely amount ton of money for a insanely rare item!
They had spears, different types of short blades and swords, and throwing weapons.

That's not even half.

Actually Alduin wasnt going to destroy the world (well, he was SUPPOSE to) instead he planned to conquer the world. Just destroy a few mortal cities to keep the mortals in line. And yes, the magic system you described would have been great in Skyrim. I hope TES6 has a combination of some of the features of 3, 4, 5, and Online. Anyway, its such a hassle to get Morrowind, wish it was on Steam.
