It should be known that I have minimal knowledge of the Elder Scrolls lore, but my question is a bit different from any kind of normal lore question.

Does anyone know as a fact, or happen to have a link to a source I could read, that explains Tamriel's views on social issues? (i.e., homosexuality, racism, adoption, religious differences, ect, ect.)

Kind of a touchy subject, but I'm not really looking for opinions here. I'd just like to know so I can correctly involve it in my character's back story and outline.

Religious differences sometimes collide but only in select cases, for example the Temple and the Tribunal.
Racism, of course it exists. Always a factor, people don't trust other people because they have pointy ears, or because they're from this part of the province rather than this other part.
Homosexuality exists, but homophobia.. Unsure. Probably? I mean just like the real world surely there's some people who find it wrong that two men love one another, for example. But I'm sure there's also people who just don't care. Skyrim allows homosexual marriage, but it's also explained that love in that province is a very rushed thing because of how short life is.
Adoption is pretty common, usually in matters related to the aforementioned tiny lifespan.

If you want a definite link for further explanations in detail, I don't have it. But you could always check the UESP wiki pages for religions, marriage, and such.

homosexuality doesnt seem to be much of abig deal. racism is rampant tho. pretty much everyone is belitteled by at least one more race and each race has at least one race it absoluteley dispises.

When you play Skyrim and you visit the city of Winterhold you can clearly see that the dark elves are being supressed and treated badly.

So I think that racism in Tamriel changes form region to region. But there definitly is racism.
