When sneaking in Pvp its called Stealth when in Pve its called Sneak.
You are 100% invisible in stealth, the way they find you is if they are looking at you and follow your shadow on the ground, a small round shadow that's all they can see, they will see it moving but if you are in the shadows they wont see a thing.

My question to the audience is what do you think about the Stealth and Sneak?

Is there a source to OP's claim that Sneak mode's artificial invisibility still casts a shadow of the playable character's actor?

It looks like he just made it up, considering the information I've seen contradicts this.

from what i understand is you are completely invisible until you get within the enemies detection radious, at that point look like a shade to them. damage will bring you out of stealth. Allies will always see you as a shade no matter the range.
