Hi community of TESOF!

As I'm unable to log into the EU server currently, I thought I'd paste what I've just written for the guild I'm a part of in hopes of inspiring others to let us know of some great and entertaining reads from Cyrodiil!

So, without further a due, we can begin. I'll just quickly flesh out some very brief information, just in-case someone has a "Dafuq is a cattle?" thought.

Cattle is a part of our House that is not a vampire.

Quote:
A cattle of promise

An intriguing specimen

After attending The Bleak Whisper ball, I found myself blessed with the responsibility of gauging the talents and potential, If any of these existed within one of our cattle...

The cattle that bears the name Phédre and is depicted before our illustrious matron.

Shortly after being entrusted with this task, I changed my attire to something more effective and set out towards Cyrodiil with my new-found initiate, "perhaps my plans of a savage and ferocious elite force of vampires was beginning to bear fruit?" I wondered...

Potential

Once we were equipped, we made our way to the war-torn lands of Cyrodiil in our search for prey, heroic fights and most importantly, the data I required to see whether this cattle was worthy of being a part of my plans and an insurmountably important asset to our all-important quest of taking control of Cyrodiil in preparation of moving on the Imperial City.

It didn't take long for me to become even more intrigued than when I first encountered Phédre at the Bleak Whisper Ball earlier. . .
She was calm, calculating, vicious and meticulously attentive with her consistency with regards to attacking the most vital spots of the numerous races of Nirn.
I noticed this initiate experienced an almost overwhelming sense of enjoyment and pleasure from engaging foe of superior numbers and proceeding to fell them all, this one found ecstasy in carrying out heroic acts in the name of our illustrious matron as much as some of our actual Bloodkin do I realised...

A thought came across my mind in realization of this:
"Phédre, a cattle of promise."

Culling the meek

I proceeding to carry out my routine of culling the unworthy from the plains of Cyrodiil...

I found not an opponent worthy of merit. . . There had been a Dragonknight I had regularly crossed swords with that I had hoped to encounter, alas I did not fight my strong prey I had become so accustomed to engaging in heroic battle with.

After gorging myself on heroism through the numerous un-heroic and unmemorable opponents of Cyrodiil briefly, I returned to concentrating on evaluating my initiate...

Rage

We continued in our hunt and accumulated more prey, that of the Ebonheart Pact and Daggerfall Covenant. None were safe from the gaze and unbridled ferocity of House Nyssara. We were occasionally kept company by the warriors of the Aldmeri Dominion, I realised not many are capable of heroic deeds within this faction, unfortunate for them I thought, to be hindered by such a lack of innate heroism, if only they embraced Sithis. Perhaps they could find strength in the solace of the Void.

It didn't take long for the dynamics of Cyrodiil to take shape as the organic life-form it is in It's current state. This took form in a moment of chaos where me and my initiate were separated for a brief moment. The Ebonheart Pact intended to divide and conquer us...

Many launched themselves at me and died to my extreme heroism, the sharp end of my sword and my shield imbued with the indomitable will of our illustrious, benevolent and glorious matron Nyssara.

After felling several of my attackers, I managed to briefly restrain my consciousness, It was during this moment I realised what had happened...

Those that had threw themselves into the the maw of death that is Hagakure knew that could not slay me. . . They meant only to distract me, It was due to this negligence I experienced extreme rage. I had failed to protect my initiate and allowed the Ebonheart Pact to do as they so desired.

Fortunately, my numerous enemies thought they had gained the upper hand through slaying my companion, which allowed me to direct and unleash my rage upon a target...

Two warriors launched themselves at me adorning heavy armor and heavy weaponry in the hopes of piercing and inflicting grievous harm through my stoic armor.
I raised my voice at my foes, increasing my vitality and proceeded to unleash a swarm of bats imbued with furious anger, felling them swiftly and efficiently.

But the swarm of the un-heroic ones continued to descend upon my position...

I proceeded to cut a path through the unenlightened, making sure to advance in the opposite direction to the area they were advancing from, so I could attain the advantage of terrain and destroy them all.

After slaying at least eight of their anti-Nyssara-extremely-un-heroic-platoon, I realised that It was going to be no easy feat to fight the entirety off of the Ebonheart Pact soldiers stationed in Cyrodiil. . . It was during this brief moment of realisation I spotted the corpse of Phédre who I had been tasked with evaluating on behalf of my matron.

Her weapons bloodied and her body battered and bruised. She went down heroically inflicting damage to her assailants, she did not die a cowards death. I was pleased with this fact.

With one final shout towards the anti-heroic-platoon of the Ebonheart Pact I immediately regenerated some of my more fatal wounds and took as many as I possibly could down with me...

I took a moment to reflect upon the performance of myself and my initiate, the bodies of those I had slain in glorious heroic combat slowly began to dissipate from the field of battle one by one. . . A Soldier of the Ebonheart Pact looked on from atop his steed, completely stricken by awe of what he had witnessed. Aware that what he had seen was a symbol of what was to come and was a symbol of the truth...

House Nyssara is ferocious, fearsome and extremely dangerous.

This fear swept through his mind and into his soul.

To be continued?

So yeah! This is one of my stories from Cyrodiil!

Definitely one of my favourite places to go to, but enough about that.

What glorious acts of heroism have you been involved in, in Cyrodiil?

And If you haven't been to Cyrodiil yet, why not?

I have had a few acts in fair Cyrod but I would hardly call them glorious and definitely not Heroic... Most of them involve hiding...

Well, you know what they say:

"The unseen Mer is the deadliest."

Don't think that's what they say, but It feels appropriate to say. Through my experience, I've found hiding to be a useful tool to use in order to engage in acts of heroism. It's a lot of effort wearing heavy armor though, not to mention how loud It can be at the worst times.

Unless you're hiding on the spot, that's cool. Heroic hiding is heroic? Creepy

Well my character is definitely not a warrior... More of a Researcher who knows how to fight because every now and again you awaken some ancient curse of undead and have to deal with it... You know how it is... Laughing
