Race: Altmer
Age: 71 (Born 2E 511, First Seed)
Origin: Alinor, Summerset Isle
Birth-Sign: The Lord
Occupation: Justiciar
Relatives: Toliqar, Father. Aeyarie, Mother. Nemrie, Younger Sister.
Brief description of appearance: Sunrio is a tall altmer with hawkish facial features and pale blonde hair. His amber eyes hold sincerity and focused discipline that should ideally be found amongst agents of the Aldmeri Dominion. A scar left by a blade extends across the right side of his face to the bottom of his chin, a grave reminder of a darkened night.
He wears either the signature robes of a justiciar or the ornamental armor of an Aldmeri soldier, depending on the situation or when it’s deemed appropriate.
Religious point of view: Follows the Aldmeri Pantheon as revered by his people, although very rarely does he find himself praying for their grace.
Political point of view: He finds merits in both the Aldmeri Dominion’s divine right to rule as well as the desire for independence by the other races. He’s quite conflicted on what side is truly right, no doubt influenced by his education in the Imperial City. Still, he expresses the utmost loyalty to the Aldmeri Dominion.
Loves: The Imperial City, Alinor, Rain
Hates: Injustice, Boasting
Background: Born to a family with notable political affiliations in Alinor, Sunrio lived a comfortable life in the capital city of the Summerset Isles. Expected to become a powerful mage, he moved to the Imperial City to be educated at the Arcane University, the foremost center of magical learning in all of Tamriel.
In 2E 558, he was nearing the end of his studies at the University. But before they were completed he was recalled to the Summerset Isles due to political unrest concerning his father. In order to quell the situation, he volunteered himself to military service as a gesture of good faith and loyalty to the crown on the behalf of his family.
Although never intending or wanting to become a soldier, Sunrio was nonetheless talented at both spell and blade and swiftly became a respected spellsword amongst the Aldmeri ranks.
On one of his later assignments, he was tasked with accompanying an infamously zealous justiciar in apprehending a Nord who had stolen secret knowledge from the Crystal Tower. When the two made their move at a secluded home in the wilds, the Nord attacked Sunrio with a war axe, forcing him to defend himself. It wasn’t until after he slashed his elven blade across his foe’s torso, delivering a fatal blow, that he noticed a young girl standing in the shadows staring towards him. Her horrified eyes were filled with tears as she trembled. Sunrio had cut down her father in front of her very eyes.
The Justiciar, suspecting that she was shared the stolen secrets, ordered him to slay her as well in order to protect the sanctity of the Crystal Tower. When he refused to harm a mere child, the Justiciar prepared to do the task himself but was stopped when Sunrio embedded the fallen nord’s war axe into his spine, killing him instantly.
Feeling pity for the child, he went to offer her help to find safety and refuge. But when he came close to her she drew a hidden dagger and slashed him across the face before fleeing into the night. The encounter left a scar that Sunrio would bear for the rest of his life.
When he returned to his superiors in Alinor, he fabricated a story on how he managed to fully complete their mission during which the Justiciar tragically lost his life to an ambush. It was then and there that he was promoted to take the position of his fallen comrade.
Twenty years later, Sunrio finds himself to be somewhat of a specialist amongst the justiciars and is frequently sent across Tamriel to complete various assignments. With the Alliance War on the horizon, he has redoubled his efforts to aid the Dominion. But despite the many rising evils and threats across the land, Sunrio cannot shake the feeling that there is a shadow out there somewhere, looking for him and him alone.
